God might not necessarily use people who are perfect but will definitely use people who he chooses. In your own opinion you may think some people are not qualified to be used but he will do what he pleases that those who think they are qualified might know God is sovereign. Even though the sons of Eli we're in Shiloh, all of Israel still went to worship and sacrifice yearly at Shiloh. Lesson 1 The gathering of the people to worship God is ordained by God and what Go ordained he blesses. #TundeAriyibi #dclagos #SundayMorning Never move out of any gathering of God out of bitterness...where ever you go you will still find some shortcoming. Where ever you are or wherever you are going always go with the attitude of a child like Samuel to Eli and not with the attitude of a critique. If Samuel criticize Eli he would never learn. Samuel witnessed all the the sons of Eli we're doing but he remain with the attitude of a child and could learn from the feet of Eli. It was same Eli that thought Samuel how to connect with God... Do not be so wise in your own eyes and become a critic. If you criticise there will be not faculty remaining to learn. The sons of Eli did not stop Elkanna and Hannah from coming to Shiloh. The Pharisees did not stop Jesus from going to the synagogue. Always gather with the saints. If you remove yourself from what God has ordained, you pull yourself from certain blessings. |

It gives new meaning to the phrase "a wolf in sheep's clothing." Or in this case, a donkey in zebra stripes. A zoo in Cairo, Egypt, has been accused of trying to fool visitors by painting zebra stripes onto a donkey, but the zoo director insists the animal is the real thing. Mahmoud Sarhan, 18, said he was visiting a recently-opened animal sanctuary at the International Garden municipal park when he spotted a strange looking animal. Sarhan posted this image on Facebook after his family trip to the exhibit. In the photo, he's posing next to the animal, looking bemused. He wrote in Arabic: "The stupidity has reached in the country that they brought a local donkey and painted it to look like a zebra." Just for comparision, this is a zebra. Just for comparision, this is a zebra. The director of Gardens Project in Cairo has denied the reports that they had tried to pass off the donkey as a zebra. "The zebra is real and not painted," Mohammed Sultan told Egypt's Youm 7 news channel. Sultan added that the animals are well taken care of and are inspected regularly to ensure their welfare. After reviewing the images, a leader with the animal activist group PETA disagreed that this animal was well taken care of. "No reputable animal care facility would subject a skittish animal like a donkey to the stress of being restrained and sprayed with chemicals like paint, which could cause a painful allergic reaction, and PETA hopes that Cairo authorities are fully investigating this matter," PETA Foundation Vice President Delcianna Winders told CNN in a statement. This isn't the first time a zoo has tried to pull the wool over visitor's eyes. In 2013, a zoo in China angered guests by trying to pass off a hairy dog as a lion. And the "lion" even barked. A few weeks ago I stumbled on a video of one of the wrestlers Glenn Jacobs, AKA Kane where he was lecturing some economics professors on economics I was blown away by his intelligence of economics and international monetary policy. There I first learnt he was running for to become a Mayor. Today he became the Mayor of Knox County. See tweets on how fellow wrestlers reacted to the red machine wrestlers victory.

TIPS FOR PROGRESS AT WORK AND IN LIFE Be it at the workplace, in your career, in business, at school etc., take special note of certain relationships around you. They are there to serve an important role in your progress and development. *********************************************************************** Early mentorship of Solomon at the feet of his father King David influenced his choice of wisdom over wealth, riches, honour, long life and even the life of his enemies when God asked him to make a request. *********************************************************************** Every average young man would have asked for one or all of these things, but Solomon's thinking had been shaped early through informal but constant learning and mentorship at the feet of King David his father. It was this mentorship and learning process that made the difference between Solomon and his brother Absalom, who rather gunned for power, position and everything Solomon didn't ask for. *********************************************************************** We then see Solomon gain everything and Absalom lose everything. A key lesson to learn here is that while Abasalom might still not have ended up as King, he would have ended up in a much better place in life if only he had shown interest and sought after the wisdom of his father, because this wisdom was equally available for him too. In like manner, we will all end up beautiful in life if only we would go about life rightly. *********************************************************************** The wisdom that has made others succeed is available for us too. We only have to seek it to find it. Like Solomon, watch out for those relationships around you that can enrich you and help guide you in the right choices in life. Be willing to learn, have a teachable attitude and do not be in a hurry. Look out for those relationships and value them. *********************************************************************** The problem is that like Absalom, many don't use them. Let's learn to recognize these relationships, value them and nuture them. I pray that God would today, make you like Solomon see the relationships that would help take you to your next level. Have a great career ahead. *********************************************************************** ~ Dr. Tunde Ariyibi ~ |

He that is Shepherd is also He that is Lord. The aspect of the shepherd flows from the aspect of the LORD. When David said the Lord is my shepherd, the shepherd was not distinct from the Lord. You can not pick the Lord as your Shepherd and leave away him as your Lord. God is either LORD OF ALL or LORD OF NONE. Isaiah 42:8 I am THE LORD and that is MY NAME... The benefits of the Shepherd are found in the person of the LORD and not a formula. The benefits include to FEED, to GUIDE and to SHIELD or PROTECT etc These Everything David described can be summed up into these 3 categories, but they all flow from the person of the LORD Himself. The Christian gathering is not a place to learn technics and formula to maneuver the Lordship of God. God our shepherd is not found in the collective but in the individual relationship we have with God. Bible verse: John 10:3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. Christianity is not about what everybody is doing but what the Lord is saying. His sheep hear his voice. Christianity is about what the Lord is saying and what He is doing whether popular or not. You must remember, everything that is popular is not necessarily wrong but everything that is popular might not be right. Christianity is not about what is popular. Jesus warned is about the broad way. Those that are there are many he said, but unfortunately it leads to destruction. God was before we were, He was Lord before we became sheep, we must accept Him as LORD first before we can receive Him as shepherd. Final line at the end: If you will focus your energies and desire on seeing Jesus have Lordship over every area of your life in this sinful world, the Shepherd aspect will manifest easily. If you place an emphasis on GOD as YOUR LORD, every aspect of GOD as YOUR SHEPHERD will be made manifest. God bless you ~ 'Tunde Ariyibi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt_KKES6p9s |
With increased easy to use plugin and addon features, the development of websites is now a lot easier and with this comes an increase in web developers many who front themselves as "programmers" to the unknowledgeable. My Story I am a techy , I started as a freelancer while working for individuals but after sometime referrals increased due to reputation of my work, relationship and performance skills then I resigned from the bank to start my own IT company. Then I found out 2 things about tech guys, there are those that are 1. Very skilled, poor corporate work ethic: They have no respect for deadlines because they've never really worked in a corporate environment. When you try to put them in check, they are ready to jump the boat and leave the job halfway without thoughts of damage to their reputation. 2. Very skilled, unteachable: they want to do everything their way without an open mind to learn and work with clients desire. 3. Poorly skilled, good communicator: This ones may not get you the result but have a good knowledge of expressing themselves. 4. Poorly skilled, unteachable :This a majorly those from outskirt part of Lagos e.g Ibadan, Abeokuta, Osun. They don't like to adopt new things and believe all they know is all the market demands. 5. Skilled, Money Conscious: This type only work when there is money, and are not good for long term projects. They are not very good for business. 6. Uncultured, Unteachable and frauds with big profile: This type have mastered the tech lingua but know nothing about execution. They only talk and collect money they are off. They charge high but will never want to have a face to face startup session. I've lost some money to this set 7. Young, Skilled, teachable and dedicated: They are very few, less than 3 out of over 50 ive met. A major attribute I found in these ones is parenting. The 3 I discovered all had their parents as teachers. This are the crop of people I sell my ideas to because they can change the cause of business for life. 8. Experienced, Skilled, dedicated and business minded: These are majorly people who have worked in a corporate setting before going freelancing. Somehow I have found them very dedicated, very experienced in dealing with people and pressure and have a good understanding of executing projects and communicating challenges. These type are very rare and once I spot them I make sure they are well paid and connected to my network. These type are good team members. I have come to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with our culture, our education, our culture and our society that does not support growth outside what to eat and drink. This is why true freelancers who play in the global space shield their identity as Nigerians on several platforms. I think we need to develop a real platform to check, report and manage reputations of freelancers in Nigeria. I'm in tech and i'm affected, I meet clients and the stories they tell about how supposedly programmers have almost ruined their business is just a sorry tale. Share your own story. |
