It could pass for half breed boerboel as well but not likely

Politics / Re: Whose Responsibility Is It To Replace Broken-Down Electricity Transformers? by Ashibelieve: 8:35am On Jan 16
The real question is why are people not paying?

Answer: Electricity is not regular.

Solution: Customers want stable electricity before they will be ready to pay.

Challenge of this: Discos can't afford the cost of providing quality service to customers and setup checks and balances before they start asking customers to pay market price.

Final remark: You don't get into business and tell customers to frontload your minimum coat to offer a good product or service before doing that. It remains Discos and whoever are underestimating the cost of doing business and providing efficient service before asking customers to pay for it or they are stock with the government mindset of doing business and supporting the business on subsidy and citizens payment
Lifemanage:

Good analysis. But why govt no want them to charge cost reflective tarriffs

She declined to sell the baby and he has decided to cut off mother and child.

Webmasters / Re: Have You Ever Considered Quitting Social Media? by Ashibelieve: 12:02pm On Sep 14, 2023
I'm trying to quit not just social media but nairaland. I was able to stay away from Instagram for like 2months until today. But nairaland has been an addiction I also want to stop.

Just like our parents were glued to radio, newspapers and TV so are we on social media

Smile4mee01:
If you are a youth, you are probabaly on one or two social media platforms.i.e Instagram , Facebook, Tik tok, twitter etc I rarely watch TV these days.

I recently saw the hours I spent on each social media app last week and was concerned. Just like dopamine, it's becoming irresistible to surf the internet doing nothing.

It does appear to me SM especially IG, tik tok is saturated with scantily Dressed women seeking attention, some just dancing away. Low budget bloggers pasting thier opinion on every matter, some giving advice to people not seeking it. Not so funny skits, after which you watch it you regret wasting your data. The desire to trend at all cost. As in it's kinda endless

If you spend 24hrs/day with free wifi it's not enough to view the content being pushed out daily. Are we losing focus on what's important and helping these influencers and skit makers to relevance.

I even heard of a student who quit university to join Onlyfans.

Before you come at me, I know there has been some good from social media but the opportunity cost with respect to time on those app is alarming.

Please for those who have quit social media, Has your life been better for it?

Politics / Re: My Experience With Vote Buying In Akwa Ibom State. by Ashibelieve: 9:54pm On Mar 18, 2023
You are on your part to sickening. Same way you will make hard decisions that will bring you wealth and many others will make poor decisions that will bring them poverty. Can't you see that's why there are more poor people than truly wealthy people? It starts like this
Elistho:
In the presidential elections, a few others and I were disenfranchised because of unit problems, I went to the polling unit by 7AM, I waited till 5PM but couldn't vote. INEC arrived by 2:30PM after choas that day, I went home tired and frustrated.

Today, I wasn't in my polling unit, I took risk and traveled from my state capital to my location today. The road was so dry, Military everywhere, no public transport, I almost urinated in my cloths at the sight of armed forces men... I waited and luckily saw a bus, I ran to enter, we took a bush track... We were all scared, it wasn't easy this morning...

I arrived my unit, my neighbor asked me if I'm voting PDP, I was shocked, this is someone we both agreed to vote YPP, because he's a better candidate, she had been bought over with money... She directed me on what to do and who to meet to get my 5k there.

I queued, voted and step aside. The police man was bribed, he gave party agents way to stand and look at the votes cast, if it's PDP, they take you to the backyard, write your name and account number, expect 5k while they give you 1k as initial thank you.

I wasn't too shocked, this was the system... I wanted the money so badly, I was even laughed at... Coupled with my suffering today, plus during the presidentials everyone collected except me... Today, I can't boast of a thousand naira but I stood by grounds for the sake of equity and good conscience.

PDP won the unit, with a wide margin.. I was vexed... I came back home, even posted on my WhatsApp, I'm being laughed at, and I began wondering when doing good turned to a thing of mockery now....

I pray God opens a way for me so I can keep closing my eyes when I see money like this, as a student, 6k is way too much in this economy... But we move. On God.

This is me feeling fulfilled knowing I can criticize this governmet for the next four years with good conscience.

PDP will win in Akwa Ibom State as usual, but it's trash. But I know they're people like me, God bless you.

This is my village but these traditional rulers in Akoko-Edo do not have the interest of their people at hand. Only their deep pockets, expanding their connections with those in power and their immediate family.

Shame to all traditional rulers collecting money and supporting bad politicians since 1999. I know what I'm talking about. Shame to their old chief too.

Food / Why Do Nigerians Order More Food Online Than Groceries, Clothes & Electronic by Ashibelieve: 3:03pm On Oct 24, 2022
I am a digital marketing expert. I've studied online shopping data in Nigeria particularly Lagos and one thing I find true is that alot of people order food online than electronics, clothes and even groceries (Supermarket products I mean).

I think people should have been more worried about buying and eating cooked food from vendors they do not know if they are neat or the quality of meals they are eating. But surprisingly alot of online shoppers will buy food online and fear to buycloth or electronic because they fear for quality.

The other last thing I still don't understand is why do Nigerians don't shop from supermarkets online? Is it that the supermarkets are not online or they just don't like online shopping from supermarkets?

Education / How To Get Into Nollywood by Ashibelieve: 12:36pm On Sep 12, 2022
Nollywood is a big industry and one many content creators, models and students will want to be.

The question you have been asking is how do I get it.

I have worked with alot of film companies on set and in project management levels and here is what I have seen work.

1. Love the industry: You cannot succeed in Nollywood if you are one that talk down on people, actress or a critic.

2. Know fake from real: There are alot of fake people scamming to give you film roles online for 5k, 10k and others. Do not fall for that, alot of kidnappers use this trick as well.

3. Go to a film school: This is the most legit and successful method. Some of the most successful actors in Nigeria either studies Theatre art in a university and later went to a film school. Popular among these film school is Royal Arts Academy.

Here are a list of actors that attended film school
1. Deyemi Okanlawon
2. RMD
3. Mr. Macaroni
4. Pere
5. Bellinda Effa
