Lagos is 70-75% slums. Nigeria housing deficit is staggering. I think annually about 0.2M and I think historically something close to 15M non-slum housing deficit.

Kenya has housing deficit of 2M and we are building 0.5M houses to bridge the deficit in 5yrs. You can bet in few years we would have made slums in kenya an history - if we invest 25B dollars that have been pledged by investors.

I know you're very hopefully about your country but until you have multinationals linning up to invest in Lagos - Eko City aint happening. Your economy has tanked - and poverty is increasing - because the growth rate is not even equal to the population growth rate.

Look at Nairobi - booming like Asian (Indian & Chinese) cities - as it consolidate it's position as Africa’s new HQ for multinational firms

A loan is your money. You're servicing the loan. It ceases being your money when your default like Nigeria did severally before. kenya has NEVER defaulted in any of it's loan and the creditor then RECALL THEIR MONEY. Kenya has NEVER asked to be forgiven loans by PARIS club like Nigeria famously did.

Chinese are lending and investing in us - because they see a UNIQUE african country that can think better than BONOBO. You guys just depend on OIL but you act no better than monkeys.

Do you have height restrictions or just RESOURCE CONSTRAINTS. Can you wake up and build 100 floor building in LAGOS - yes - but only in LEGO . Let me give you an local example. Nakuru city in Kenya has 10 floors restriction. The reason it's sits on a faulty line and is susceptible to earth tremors. In Nairobi most estate have varied height restrictions - single dwellings - some have 4 floors heights - but in Nairobi as soon as heigh restriction is lifted in a zone - you see SKYSCRAPERS sprouting immediately - like Westlands, Upperhill and now Kilimani - coz we GOT MONEY TO BUILD STUFF.

I am glad you're getting handful - 30 floors - as Kenya aims for 70-80 floors. You have a long way to go. You're still show casing buildings that every tom, dick and harry in kenya can build. 10-15 floors buildings.

Because Berlin and DC has height restrictions otherwise they should have had the tallest buildings esp in DC, in Berlin they are maintaining the heritage of their old structures...what about Lagos/Abuja are there any restrictions

I am glad you asked about Konza. Unlike the wet dreams of Enugu or Abuja centenary or even EKO Atlantic...Konza exist on the ground and construction is ongoing. South Koreans are going to build their famed KASIT soon.
