My opinion on any issue or individual that I cherish or despise is always formed through my independent rigorous analysis of facts devoid of childish exuberance and emotional irrationality. That is why personally, apart from my local Church, I do not belong to ANY GROUP, whether any of the various PMB support groups or Jagaban Solidarity Organisations because my love and faith in these two leaders was not a collective decision, it is a decision made by me and me alone, it is a decision that stays whether solidarity groups exist or vanish. I don't attend group meetings, I don't follow anyone to the Villa to see anybody or go to Burdillon in group. ALMIGHTY GOD knows that I've never received a DIME from Buhari or Tinubu in my entire life, I will not need it in my entire life!!!! I am AYEKOOTO AKINDELE, I follow what I believe and do it the way I understand it.
President Buhari is a man full of wisdom just like Jagaban. Because of PMB's AGE, he has acquired priceless wisdom over a period of time, this makes him a Stammerer in words but very eloquent in action. Recall, how Asiwaju suffered wicked betrayals from those he unilaterally, through the help of God, took to power, those that thought their ambitions were dead but who Tinubu rekindled their hope and assisted to fulfil destiny, these same folks turned back to stab him but on each occasion, JAGABAN always survived!!! During the merger preparations of the APC, John Oyegun at a function in Benin City referred to Jagaban severally as "MY LEADER, OUR LEADER", at another function in Abuja, he called him "MY OWN LEADER". It was Tinubu who sponsored him to replace Bisi Akande as the APC Chairman against Tom Ikimi, it was not Buhari that brought him, Tinubu did. But what happened? John Oyegun and others like Amosun who Tinubu helped to power joined hands with other haters of Jagaban's political guts to tell lies against him before PMB. Just like when your children say you're a bad father, how can anyone defend you better Those who skimmed to destroy Tinubu were not the northerners, not the Southerners, not even the PDP but those that Tinubu himself brought to power, or elevated in power or brought back to reckoning......They were the ones who attempted to skim him out of relevance. Yes they failed abysmally.

On the contrary, I LOVE igbo people so much. I schooled in igbo land for 5years unfortunately, it was a private university, and students considered themselves too posh to associate with the language as a result one had a tough time learning the language.

The root cause of the industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities has been the consistent and unfailing failure of the Federal Government to implement the 2009 agreement. According to the vanguard Newspaper of November 18, 2018, ASUU vowed that they will not return to the classrooms unless the FG accedes to its demands as highlighted in the 2009 agreement.

Now, according to TVC News, ASUU has reached an agreement, and signed documents, raising hope of an end to the three months old strike.

I don't know how many ASUU members will get to see this post, but I want to state categorically that IT APPEARS ASUU HAS NOT YET LEARNT ITS LESSONS!!!

I was in SS2 when the 2009 agreement was signed. I wrote my WASSCE in 2010. I have concluded my BSC and I'm in the final lap of my MSC, and yet, ASUU has for the umpteenth time signed a MOA with the FG with respect to the 2009 agreement. An agreement that was reached when I was in SS2 is yet to be fully implemented while I'm rounding up my MSC, and ASUU, a body of intellectuals, is still signing agreements with a government that is notorious for not keeping to their side of the bargain? This is as ridiculous as anything.

I had hoped that this strike will be a comprehensive strike that will bring an end to the FG's nauseating attitude of not keeping to agreements but I'm disappointed.

ASUU has failed to get it right, and I bet you, that the agreement that has been signed today will be the reason for the next industrial action in 10 months' time.

THAT STRIKE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED!!!

We do not know the next Sheriff that will run the affairs of this Nation. Our politicians are good at throwing blames. The new government that will come (if the current government loses at the polls) may resort to blaming the previous government for signing an agreement that it was not capable of keeping. They MAY blame the "past" government for leaving an empty treasury, and then, as is the custom, the strike will begin all over again.

I can bet a thousand ripe yams that a student currently in his first year will begin his PHD and ASUU will still be battling with the FG over the 2009 agreement.

On 12 October, 2018, the newly emerged PDP contender for the Presidency of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, picked a former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, to be his running mate in the 2019 general elections.

Exactly a week after Peter Obi was picked, the infamous separatist, Nnamdi Kanu, resurfaced, having been missing for over a year up to that point.

The timing of Mr. Kanu’s reappearance was very convenient for some…

Not long after his reappearance, Kanu returned to his mic, to resume what made him infamous in the first place — spilling a lot of bile. His most recent exercise, has been to schedule a “referendum on Biafra” on 16 February, the same day as the Presidential Elections, and that, dear reader, is where the cat waltzed out of the bag.

A referendum, is a direct vote on a single issue. So, in this case, the question on the ballot for Igbos would be — “Should Igbo land opt out of Nigeria and form a sovereign country called Biafra?”

For me, the answer is no. I suspect that it’s mostly no for the large Igbo diaspora within Nigeria. For those outside of Nigeria, well, it largely depends on their station in life.

Be that as it may, let us go back Mr. Kanu and his call. The last referendum held in the area around what is now Nigeria, was in 1961. The call for that particular referendum started in 1953 after Zik displaced Eyo Ita in the Eastern Nigerian Parliament made the Eastern minorities unhappy. Emmanuel Endeley, the leader of the Southern Cameroons at the time, wanted to remain with Nigeria, but when he lost to John Foncha in 1959, Foncha asked the UN to organise a referendum on whether Southern Cameroons would join Cameroon, or remain with Nigeria. Independence was not one of the options.

What is the point of this story — a referendum, or plebiscite, is not, and has never been, in all of human history, something that a “Supreme Leader” just declares three weeks to date. It takes a lot of planning, help, and a lot of multilateral support. Is there any evidence of all this? The answer is a big, fat, no, and this brings us to Mr. Kanu’s interest in this matter…

In my line of work, one thing I’ve learned about my country is that in Nigeria, any conspiracy theory you hear, is worth examining. The day after Kanu resurfaced, I was told by someone who should know that he’d been in custody, and had been released following the emergence of Peter Obi. Chap further claimed that Kanu’s parents are still in custody, to ensure that he behaves himself. He went on to say a lot of other stuff that even now, I still find incredible, not least because I do not believe that our security services are competent enough to pull off those kinds of operations.

However, it strikes me that as of this moment, Nnamdi Kanu’s parents are still missing, and he has not said a thing about them in any of his broadcasts, but he spoke about his dog in one. It also strikes me that there is a convergence of interests here — as I have written before, Nnamdi Kanu was given a massive boost by the Buhari government following their bad handling of his return to Nigeria. He would have remained in a fringe figure shouting into his mic had they not arrested him some years ago. It is in his interest that Buhari remains in office. It gives him a lightning rod with which to generate relevance, and that relevance helps him commercially.

Does it not strike you as strange that a man on trial for treason has resurfaced in other countries, and yet our government has not bothered to request his extradition (even if it is denied?).

Convergence of interests. On the one hand, the chap who needs this government in order to remain relevant. On the other hand, a government who needs this chap in order to ensure voter apathy in a region they are sure to lose.

A young man has died after he was attacked by suspected cultists in Obosi community in Anambra state.
According to reports, the deceased identified as Nonso Ochendo, was attacked and shot dead by the gunmen as he was about to enter his vehicle on Monday, January 25th.
