Sha u have a point... it's just that what I'm seeing here in the north, it wasn't the Julius Berger of before.. their work rate is getting slower over the years, that's why I think most governors are patronizing CCECC nowadays, coupled with the cost(not the ones inflated by politicians) and loans
CsRockefeller:

Is that so?

Have you been to the newly constructed Ikorodu road handled by CECC during Fashola's tenure?

Road wey we borrow money do, never reach 7 years don spoil finish.

Now compare it with the Mile 12 (from Mile 12 down to surulere constructed by Julius Berger in the 80's and you will see that shoe get size.

Have you also seen Lasu road of recent don by the same Chinese?

Julius Berger are still d best anyday, anytime.

Look at the level of work being done by them at the Lagos Ibadan expressway.

You get buy years of experience o!

But they eventually get the work done, for example, CCECC in northern states like Kano and Kaduna state work even on Saturday and Sunday's, not the Sam for Julius Berger.. and the asphalt they use is top notch

Politics / Fashola Says Abuja-Algiers Road To Be Completed In 3yrs by Asnafsaeed(m): 2:52am On Nov 13, 2019
Mr Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Works and Housing says the trans-saharan roads linking Abuja with Algiers in Algeria will be completed in three years.

Fashola said this during a joint inspection visit to the on-going Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia-Markudi and the Abuja-Kaduna roads which are part of the trans-saharan roads.

The inspection was part of the programme schedule for a 2-day 70th Session of the Trans Sahara Road Liaison Committee (TRLC) which began on Nov. 11 in Abuja.

He said: “ What we are concerned with in this committee is the Lagos to Algiers highway.

“The Lagos-Ibadan-Oyo road, the Jebba-Mokwa-Kaduna-Kano road, and the Abuja-Kano road are the major components.

“`So Mali is doing its own, Algeria is doing its own, Niger is doing its own. Every country is handling their own.

“The Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Dual Carriageway of 375.9km has three sections and would all be completed within three years,’’ Fashola said.

He added that part of the project which is handled by China Harbour Engineering Compay Limited (CHEC) is the expansion of 5.4km of the Abuja-Keffi Expressway and Dualisation of the Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia-Makurdi road.

The project is located in FCT, Nasarawa and Benue states, with a total length of 227.2km, including the Abuja-Keffi and Keffi-Makurdi sections.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 5.4km Abuja-Keffi section will have two-lane auxiliary roads on both sides of the existing six-lane section.

The 221.8km Keffi-Makurdi section will see an expansion of the existing two-way two-lane section to a two-way four-lane section.

According to Fashola, the main works to be done in the execution of the project include sub-grade, bridge, and culvert, as well as drainage and pavement.

He added that the road would have an electromechanical toll station that would be completed in March 2022.

The Secretary-General of the TRLC, Mr Ayadi Mohammed, said that the inspection of the project provided a good opportunity for the committee members to evaluate the state of the construction of the roads.

According to him, the work the committee members have seen so far is technically sound.

NAN further reports that the roads are expected to serve 37 regions in Africa and connect 74 urban centres as well as 60 million people across the six countries that are members of the committee.

On the local front, the road will pass through Lagos and Ibadan, to Ilorin, Jeba, Kaduna and to Kano where Nigeria shares border with the Republic of Niger.

The committee session holds every four years.

The trans-Saharan road liaison committe is made up of six countries, namely: Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Tunisia, Algeria, and Mali.

The committee was formed in 1966 to establish a road link across the six countries to encourage growth, socio-economic activities, development, cooperation, and trade.

Even Southern Borno where you have the Marghis, Buras, Kibakus and a dozen other tribes belong to the middlebelt.
The middlebelt is an identity for all Northern minorities.
Anybody who is not Hausa-fulani-Kanuri and is from a minority tribe is very much a middlebelter. Irrespective of your state.

those minority tribes can never be part of MB, at least not for now, they can relate and have things common with MB states of Benue and Platue, but they can never be part of it geographically unless they secede from the larger group, which I don't see happening anytime soon
https://dailypost.ng/2019/09/21/real-reason-middle-belt-quitting-acf-pogu-bitrus/amp/

Bitrus Pogu above is the current National president of THE MIDDLEBELT FORUM who is at the forefront in advocating the middlebelt agitation and unity between the Middlebelt and the south.

He is from Southern Borno. A Kibaku man. He is also the national president of Kibaku ethnic group, (2nd largest ethnic group in Southern Borno), so he is not just a nobody or unknown person.

I have no problem with that, anybody can decide to agitate, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be successful.. Chechnya, Catalonia, Biafra etc have all been agitating but not yet successful, just like the MB .. because Bitrus Pogu has been agitating on behalf of SB doesn't automatically mean they are part of MB, only a referendum can indicate whether they can be part of MB, not Bistru, Jerry Gana etc

Just like I showed you above. Even Southern Borno is a part of the middlebelt, let alone Taraba.

If you like, don't believe that Nasarawa is a majority christian state. My happiness in Nasarawa comes from the fact that almost every indigenous tribe in Nasarawa is either predominantly christian or a 50/50.
So, by the time we start our strong regional agitation in the region very soon, idiöts will now know who the real owners of Nasarawa are.
lol. I see ur getting delusional and moronic the more we delve into these conversation, I see ur desperately clinging to straws devoid of any logic.. Southern Borno is an area under Borno state which is in the NE, its not a state of its own that is recognized by the law and constitution of Nigeria, they could relate with MB base on what they have in common, but they can never be part of that geographical region

How is Taraba state part of MB when it's suited in the NE geographical region?
All muslims are one brotherhood now ba? Where was this brotherhood when Yoruba, Igala, Ebira, Auchi and even Alago muslims were slaughtered in Jos & Kaduna by Hausa-fulanis who call them fake muslims?

Where was this brotherhood when Hausa fulanis descended on Yoruba muslims in Kano in retaliation for the Shagamu crisis?

You can only tell that to ignorant people.
Your people call even Bauchi tribal muslims TUBEBE, let alone Yoruba or other muslims.

hahah these are just part of ur figment of ur imagination that you constantly spew and fabricate to make a point,
If I ask for ur evidence now, you divert and change topic like how u have always done!! Lol. What part of KD and kano does Igala, Ebira, Auchi and Alago reside in a large number that they were specifically targeted and killed? I have lived in both states, I don't remember meeting any of those ethnicity apart from ABU zaria.. can u provide ur evidence

Lol. How are hausa/fulani in a position to indicate who is a real or fake Muslim, what's the criteria for that? grin cheesy this is what happens when u listen to fani-kayode and RadioBiafra cheesy

Your foolish, a nincompoop for that matter!! How did you come to conclusion that it was Yoruba Muslim that were attacked in sagamu, how do you identify one, was it written on their forehead, so jnow you can differentiate between a Yoruba Muslim and Christian?? I want evidence not cheap emotional talks!!

I searched for "Tubebe" on net and I couldn't find anything related to that, Is it part of ur concoction and fabrication grin cheesy

Hahaha, Southern Kaduna exists whether you like it or not. They know themselves and they and Hausa fulanis are as different from each other as night & day.
We will never watch filthy uncircumcised almajiris misrepresent the great people of Southern Kaduna in any capacity without it going unchallenged.

it only exist in the figment of ur imagination.. is it a state, is it recognized by the law and constitution of Nigeria, foes it have a governor of its own, or was it part of state and capital they taught you in primary school? grin..I know how badly you want ur states of minority MB, but till then, its not a reality yet but just a mirage and pipe dream! grin

See this liar saying ''We rejected Bindowo''. Mention one muslim dominated area that Fintiri won elections, let me see.
95% of his voters were christians and you open that gworo teeth of yours to say we.

Indigenous tribal muslims can never be like fulanis. These ones are far more tolerant and progressive except a few who have been cultured and overmixed with Hausa fulanis.
We know how to separate the chaff from the seed.

Your people voted against Fintiri and now you want to claim him in the name of islam. He can see through the hypocrisy of your likes.
well I don't know much about Adamawa state and i won't claim to, but I have ample and large pool of friends from there who overwhelmingly suggested and voted against Bindow, all my Adamawa friends are Muslims and all were against him.. whatever the scenario is, Fintiri is a Muslim and we will never work agaisnt Muslim interest in the state whether hausa/fulani or any other ethnicity.. one for certain is, minority Christians will never rule it

Politics / Chinese Firm Supports The Construction Of Trans-sahara Highway Projects In Niger by Asnafsaeed(m): 9:22pm On Nov 12, 2019
ABUJA, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese engineering firm on Monday said it will continue to support the ongoing construction of the trans-Saharan highway within the Nigerian territory, with timely completion of its road project in the central part of the country.

The trans-Saharan highway project is a continental-scale infrastructure that passes through six African countries, namely Algeria, Chad, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, and Tunisia. It has an objective to contribute to the development of commercial exchanges through roads and promote regional integration in Africa.

Handling an important part of the project in Nigeria, the China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC) said it is paying serious attention to the development for which it is handling the expansion of 5.4km Abuja-Keffi expressway and dualization of Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia-Makurdi road in central Nigeria.

Speaking to Xinhua on the sidelines of a two-day 70th session of the Trans-Sahara Road Liaison Committee (TRLC), Zhang Wenfeng, the managing director of CHEC in Nigeria, described the ongoing project as one that would "beef up the international connection to all regions in Africa".

With a contractual construction period of 36 months, 15 percent of the project funds are raised by the Nigerian government, and 85 percent are provided by the Export-Import Bank of China.

"The project will be directly connected to the West African coastal road, west to Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, and so on, through Lagos, and north to Niger; countries such as Algeria through Kano and east to countries such as Cameroon and Chad through Calabar," Zhang said.

Not only does the project improves the transportation circumstances in Nigeria, but also assembles a large international interconnection road network among West Africa, Central Africa, and North Africa, substantially enhancing the road conditions within the region, the Chinese senior executive said.

Meanwhile, most parts of the trans-Saharan highway project jointly constructed by the six aforementioned African countries have been asphalted so far, accounting for a total of 80 percent of the entire project, a Nigerian official said on Monday.

At the opening of the TRLC session, which is overseeing the progress of the project, Babatunde Fashola, Nigeria's works and housing minister, said "it is very useful for every African to be aware of the existence of a trans-African highway plan which seeks to connect the whole of Africa right from Cape Town up to Tunisia, either by driving through the East African border, or the West African border or through the center of Africa."

According to the minister, with a total of 9 highways at different stages of connection, the road connects 74 urban centers and 60 million people across the six countries. The project has a total stretch of 4,500km on the route linking Algiers in Algeria to Lagos in Nigeria.

Three of those highways pass through the territory of Nigeria, and the project would be finished soon, Fashola said.

In attendance at the meeting were representatives of all the countries, as well as the Secretary-General of the TRLC, Ayadi Mohammed.

The idea of a trans-Sahara highway was proposed in 1962, with construction of sections in the Sahara starting in the 1970s.

What you don't understand is that northern billionaires are mostly not media savvy, they barely use social media apart from Facebook, in fact the only billionaire I know of the north who uses Twitter is Dangote, most of them are not loud like the south and prefer the work to do the talking for them

I remember before Dangote started using Twitter, I was insulting him for not doing anything for the north, until one guy overheard me and starting listing down Dangote's project in the north.. I felt so bad and had to ask God for forgiveness

There are billionaires like Dantata, Dangote, BUA, Abdulrahman rabiu, Mangal, Gosta etc that you will never hear what they are doing through social media. .only through seeing the project or hearing from others

I'm a very logical and rational person when I'm making my permutation and analysis, I'm not blind nor a zombie to the truth.. I have told you times without numbers that I always leave Nasarawa out of my permutation because its always too close to call, but that doesn't mean I believe it's a Christian majority state, I don't believe that and I'll never!

I have never talked about Taraba state because all this while we were debating on MB, is Taraba in MB!?!?!? undecided

With significant number of Christians and a POD governor it would have been very hard for Buhari to win in 2011

We have absolutely no problem with Nyako being the last fulani man, as long as a Christian doesn't govern us.. that's why we overwhelmingly rejected Bindo Jibrilla..where ever a Muslim is, whether Kanuri, igala, nupe etc we all see ourselves as one brotherhood! grin.. but i assure u a Christian can never govern Adamawa state

The Map doesn't mean anything to me! There is nothing like SK in the books of law and regulation.. as far as the constitution is concerned ur under "kaduna state" and I shall still be under the rule of hausa/fulani
Nowenuse:

I can see that you cleverly did not mention Taraba & Nasarawa & FCT grin

Why didn't Buhari win Adamawa in 2011 yet he won Niger state, since Adamawa is under your permutation?
Murtala Nyako is the last time a fulani man will rule Adamawa. Fintiri even though he is a muslim is a marghi man and he knows that 95% of his supporters are christians. He has vowed to render Fulanis powerless in the state before his tenure is up. Just watch and see.

With your political power, your people still remain the poorest people in the country, isn't that an irony?
Where are people not going to farm anymore in the middlebelt because of fulanis? Can you tell me?
that's the irony of population explosion, just because we have large number of poor people doesn't mean we don't have the rich ones, its just that the number of the poor outnumber that of rice because mainly of northern high birth rate and illiteracy, whoever that is changing with the compulsory education law passed some northern states

Every region and country has its peculiarity, most of African countries have poorer people than reach, its a general issues.. or are you trying to exempt Benue and Platue as not being poor?

Apart from Adaras in Southern Kaduna who use to be friends with Hausas and are now learning their bitter lessons. Show me one tribe that has fought with fulani herdsmen that still have fulanis on their soil.

Hausa fulanis shiver and pray in their breadth whenever they are travelling through Berom areas to Bauchi state. Some of them will rather prefer to take all the way round Niger into Zaria then to Toro before they get to Bauchi from Abuja (double journey). Was a hausa general not sunk in a river in the same Berom area?
Or is it the one Southern Kaduna people have been doing to you people in Gonin Gora?
hausa/fulani are all over the north residing and doing business over there from Nasarawa, Platue, Adamawa etc.. so what's ur point?

It is normal to shiver and be scared in places ur the minority and feel threatened in, or don't you think there are places in Kaduna that berom people feel threatened if they are passing by

Mambilla people (a small tribe in Taraba) almost made Fulanis extinct from Taraba state last year to the extent that the sultan had to start threatening fire & brimstone.

Even in a state like Bauchi that is overwhelmingly muslim, your people cannot enter or pass through Tafawa Balewa town (the 3rd largest town in the state).
How many more can I list for you? Or should I take you to Adamawa and start mentioning entire LGAs where you almajiris cannot stay? And you claim you own Adamawa grin
lol. Apparently ur just diverting into another issue entirely, we are talking about on what's so special about Benue and Platue in assuming core north is dragging with u guys..but your here talking about communal clashes undecided

Our people are far more educated and living better lives than yours on average and you are talking about making someone a 2nd class citizen?
You are the 2nd class citizen when millions of your people who are beggars depend on us to survive.

hahahahahaha ur a pathetic and a shameless lier!! Ur better than us while ur people are here in Abuja doing mai guard.. walahi,

Are SK indigenes doing better than those in the kaduna north and central, where most of the development and jobs are!?.. or is there any MB minority apart from Gowon that did better than Buhari, Atiku, yaradua, babangida, abdulsalam etc.. or anyone doing better than Dangote, Dantata, BUA etc grin cheesy

How many governors and ministers do you even have!! Lol continue deceiving urself

Igbos who are not in charge of politics in Nigeria, are they not doing far far better than you people? This is why they demand for their own country and you people beg them to stay.

we are talking about MB here not the igbos please, don't divert grin.. we have no problem with igbos agitating and demanding for their country, its a right.. but all we are saying it most be done democratically devoid of insults and threats

Very soon, my people and the Niger deltans will join to demand for secession from this retrogressive country together with the Igbos, then let us see how the core north will be able to stop the rest of us combined.

the last time I checked, Niger Delta are agitating for resource control not to separation.. I have no problem with you aligning with the igbo, after all you have been doing that in a while now..secession? I'm not sure, but till then, good luck grin

ikpuchinonye1994:
funny enough, this is coming from aboki whose region is still below in development index..insurgency, Fulani herdsmen, hunger, malnutrition, diseases, bandistry is still rampant, illiteracy is still ravaging there.. sometimes, i sit down and wonder what Northeast and northwest would have been like if not for Southern Nigeria..The likes of Chad and Niger would have still been better than you people.. Every morning, you and your fellow aboki need so kneel down and thank lord lugard for merging southern Nigeria with you people..

Wasting money on the places that will be still be destroyed by them instead of building the infrastructures where is needed..

You people should be left alone to bomb yourselves into oblivion so that the oil money will be used to develop southern Nigeria instead of wasting it.. Aboki na still aboki, no matter what, even una like they should spend the entire budget in the NE or NW, nothing will still change.

Building roads that bandits and bokoharam will still use to wreck havoc on you people.. smh
