Before the 2014 Ekiti election, Fayemi was teargassed by the police on the orders of Fayose and the then PDP led federal government. Opposition governors like Amaechi and Oshiomole were prevented from entering Ekiti to support the then incumbent governor. Despite that, Fayemi still went to Akure to receive Jonathan. We should never take politics to a very dirty level were hatred is the order of the day. This decision shows clearly that Fayose is an intolerant dictator who lacks decency and democratic ideals.

Under normal circumstances by now PDP may have learnt their lessons and make amends, maybe Nigerians may reconsider in 2019. But unless SDP work closely with Pdp, APC may continue the damage. Atiku can unseat Buhari but entrusting him with power again is a big gamble.
