A man has drowned attempting to propose to his girlfriend underwater during their “once-in-a-lifetime” holiday. Steven Weber dived into the ocean to pop the question to Kenesha Antoine through the window of their submerged cabin in Tanzania. Video footage shows Mr Weber pressing a piece of paper against the glass with the message: “Will you please be my wife?”He then opened a ring box before swimming up out of view towards the surface. Ms Antoine, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana , posted the film on Facebook on Friday morning with her response: ”Yes! Yes! Yes! ”However a few hours later she revealed that he “never emerged from those depths” to hear her answer. “We never got to embrace and celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives together, as the best day of our lives turned into the worst, in the cruellest twist of fate imaginable,” she wrote. “I will try to take solace in the fact that we enjoyed the most amazing bucket list experiences these past few days, and that we both were so happy and absolutely giddy with excitement in our final moments together. “I will find you and marry you in the next lifetime, and the next, and the next, and the next,” added Ms Antoine. ”I love you so much, and I always will.” The couple were staying at a resort on Pemba Island off the coast of East Africa. An official at the US Department of State said they were aware of the death of a US citizen in Tanzania. “We offer our sincerest condolences to the family on their loss,” a spokesperson said. “We stand ready to provide all appropriate consular assistance.” Watch Video https://listwand.com/man-drowns-attempting-to-propose-to-girlfriend-underwater-in-tanzania/

Nigeria's punch newspaper has been ranked the 3rd most popular newspaper in Africa and most popular in Nigeria, by 4imn, an international directory and search engine focusing on worldwide newspapers. https://i2.wp.com/listwand.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/9fdf0daaa30f0f7726883be46eabc9221506535076.jpg?resize=474%2C315&ssl=1 Asides The Punch, three other Nigerian newspapers also made the list and they are Vanguard (6), The Nation (9), The Guardian (10). The Daily Nation newspaper in Kenya and The Standard Newspaper also in Kenya was ranked first and second respectively. According to its website, the firms ranks 7,000 Newspapers in web popularity, in 200 countries. The current ranking is based upon an algorithm including four unbiased and independent web metrics extracted from three different search engines: Google Page Rank, Alexa Traffic Rank, Majestic SEO (Subnets) and Majestic SEO (Trust Flow). Once filtered (outliers) and reviewed (subdomains), web metrics data are normalised to a scale of 0 to 100 taking into consideration the logarithmic nature in which both the Google Page Rank and the Alexa Traffic Rank are expressed. The four normalised values are aggregated based on a weighted average algorithm which generates the final score and web ranking. Considering that here are the top 10 most popular newspapers in Africa, according to 4imn.com 1. The Daily Nation - Kenya 2. The Standard - Kenya 3. The Punch - Nigeria 4. Al Wafd - Egypt 5. Independent Online - South Africa 6. Vanguard - Nigeria 7. The Times - South Africa 8. Mail & Guardian Online - South Africa 9. The Nation - Nigeria 10. We Nigerians really don't understand what it means to be patriotic.... Any bad news we see concerning our country.. We go run publish am forgetting that the world is now a global village.. That Nigeria has a horrible reputation abroad now na our media follow put us there... Take for example this scam of a thing. The way our media houses dey take blow am eh one would think we are the 'scam headquarters of the world'...meanwhile that's not the case, as the united States and China are leading the world in scam... But you won't see them publishing stories on it.. They focus more on the positivities... Nigerian media una gats use una tongue count una teeth oo.. I know say bad news dey spread like wildfire ergo bringing in more traffic and all but sometimes una just gats reason that article and the implications e go get on our alreasy battered image before hitting that publish button... Another example on this same scam matter:::: recently, united states FBI cracked a $3 million Kenyan cyber scam and also arrested about 3 kenyans in Kenya.. The matter serious, but kenyan media houses didn't treat it as such.. As na very few of them publish the news... And that's the main reason why I'm sure many of you didn't hear about it... Now compare what happened in kenya and Nigeria own... Especially the case of invictus and the 77 Nigerians that almost broke the internet in not just Nigeria or Africa but the whole world .. Then you will see what is wrong with us... We always think we are smart but when you really think about it . You go see say Nigerians are among the dumbest in the world.. Some Nigerians are so dumb, they cant even see past the present. Even Nairaland no dey help matters sef. |
Yawn I remember my bestie then during my service... If my girl introduce any guy to me as bestie .. Na there there the relationship go end. |
