The price is set to be around 8 million naira only cool
It's a good development that the assembly is now done here for the obvious job creation. That being said, N8m! shocked.

Considering that this car in the US ranges from ~ $22k to $28k (Depending on specs), at an exchange rate of say N200 to $1, we are talking N4.5 to N6m.

I know profit must be made but ... it's just a bit much.

You can also check out the University of Leeds, UK. I know it's out of your preferred locations, but they do have a solid, industry recognized MSc program in Exploration Geophysics with regular visits from top companies like Shell, Total, Schlumberger and the likes.

TU Delft is also very good for Europe. For the US, good choices are also Texas A & M and Colorado School of Mines.

Please its advisable for someone who had it 1st degree in MATHEMATICS to go for master in GEOPHYSICS. THANKS

It is possible to do it. What I would advise is that you start to familiarise yourself with the 'jargonous' world of geology little by little before you start the programme. As a mathematician, the physics part of geophysics should be easier to grab quickly.

I studied geology.

Geology is fine. You just need to be ready to switch to a different area entirely from geoscience if an opportunity comes. If you are comfortable with that then I think you can go ahead.

I have a friend who studied geology but works in a multinational in a different field. It's about what you can handle.

Hello all. I am a recent Nairalander.

I am very impressed with this thread. I am a geophysicist by training (MSc) and currently an aspirant looking to kick of a career in industry.

@ Cpumping, I also believe all training is good but I think it also depends on your discipline since experience is lacking. In this case such training should complement an engineering or physical science degree
