Business / Entrepreneurship Seminar by asticks(m): 4:08pm On Apr 30, 2010
I am thinking of starting a seminar for entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs, where known Nigerian Entrepreneurs in different sectors can come and talk to share experiences and also offer advise on issues that affect the growth of business ranging from Branding, customer services, sales strategies amongst others.

I am also hoping to be able to partner with some Banks and venture capitalists to fund business ideas that they believe are worth something.

I would like for nairalanders to bounce off ideas on the ways in which this seminar can make a difference.

Hoping to hear from y'all.

Business / Re: Japanese Interested In Investing In Nigeria by asticks(m): 6:02pm On Oct 27, 2009
It goes without saying that their investment will be guaranteed, the question is what would they like to invest in. Every business is profitable or else you wldn't find people doing them.

If i have $1m for instance, I wouldn't be interested in setting up a magazine store, rather i would be looking at printing my own magazine, so the amount available would determine what would be render more returns, considering the economies of scale.

Business / Re: I Have N5.4m To Invest Any Bright Ideas: No Internet Biz Please by asticks(m): 5:24pm On Oct 27, 2009
Hi Entinvest, i believe that it should be the returns on your investment that should be ur primary concern, however, keep in mind the golden principle of investment, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, also remember that in investments, the higher returns always come with higher risks.

If you are interested in a investing in a stable business with steady returns, i can offer you one.

Its an investment in a company that's in the service industry, with a return on investment of 20% for a maximum tenure of five years, after which your principal will be returned to you with a capital gain of 10%.

If you require further details, you can mail me at flipandfold@gmail.com.

Jobs/Vacancies / Want To Make Money From Introducing Our Services To People? by asticks(m): 1:17pm On Oct 22, 2009
Do you have a large number of family members or friends with average earnings?
Do you know people that currently uses a drycleaner/s?
Do you know anybody that uses a washaman?

Then you might just be among the people we are looking for, we pay a 5% commission of monthly subscriptions for a year, of persons you introduce to us to use our services. Our monthly subscription for our services starts from as low as N5,000 to N15,000 per individual.

You can make as much as you want, a scenario is you introduce 50 customers on our N10,000 package, implying that your commission would be 5% of N500,000 which is N25,000. As long as the customer introduced by you continues to subscribe each month, you will continue to get your commission for a year.

Now imagine if u introduced a 100, or a 1,000.

If you are interested respond to this post or call 08023200272.

Thank you for Flip and Fold

Politics / Re: Updated! Skye Bank Sued For Female Prostitution ( Now In New York) by asticks(m): 1:57pm On Oct 21, 2009
Why is that people believe everything that they read? It happens over and over again and we are yet to learn from that mistake, take the example of Tommy Hilfiger being a racist, or the rumor of apples being poisoned and the countless others that are being circulated via mails.

Why are Banks being labeled as encouraging Women to engage in deposits for the sake of deposits, all the Bank is interested in is you were employed to bring in deposits, its really not their business who you go about it. Their business is to ensure that from whoever or wherever the deposits are coming from meet with the requirements set by the CBN. Lets not blame Banks for the activities of "a few bad eggs" giving women and banking a bad name. Its not a secret that the moral standards of women and men has fallen, and "some women" have no qualms in sleeping with men for some form of gratification and men in turn accept.

It is a fact that can be confirmed that in Banks the best marketers are Males and not the Females, and that your targets are spelt out to you before you accept the job, so if u know that you can't meet the target, why take the job in the first place. If you can't stand the heat, then you get out of the kitchen.

The girls case I believe is questionable and her case is similar to a lot of Nigerians, we don't know our rights and as such we usually take the shit that is handed out to me. Its possible that all she said is true, its also possible that it could be false, but if its true, her action should have been to report the manager to the head office. I know of a case in the same Skye Bank of a Female staff who reported her manager for sexually harassing her and threatening to see her fired if she didn't give in. The matter was investigated and was found to be true and the manager was fired.

I feels its very wrong to generalize based on the actions of  few, we all went up in arms when Sony made the blunder of an advertisement, by invariably referring to all Nigerians as 419Er's, lets not make that same mistake as well.
