Scanning and diagnostics

The diagnostic part is very broad and more important, a faulty crank position sensor might not show up on a scan, but will cause the issues you complained of, a bad fuel pressure release valve will also not show up on a scan.

Please avoid a "REWIRE" if not your car might have a kpom sound.

thank you, am not good with cars, it cranks but doesn't start, it happened again on saturday and my mechanic was saying something about fuel pump( fuel pressure) but it's strange cos it comes on after a little time., I will need a scan as suggested or probably the re-wire.

No need to sugarcoat since the main objective is to make the car work. Nigerian technicians do not have much difficulties fixing a corolla 2001, except for the dullards among them. OP, ask around for a very good "rewire" to check your car and the problem will be fixed.

It started early this year, one out of ten times when I try to start the car it refuses to start,but if I wait after lyk 15 minutes and try again, it will pick I spoke to my mechanic about it, am not convinced at his experience on it,i don't want a trial an error on the car. Can I get response from xperience hands please.

it's a job fair organised by airtel for unemployed youths,so basically all Airtel subscribers will get the invite,,to your question "yes" you can come for the fair, probably there will be a form of registration since a certificate will be given @ the end of th fair. All the best.

There are gazillion reasons that can cause it. Start from the basics. What average mpg are u getting? What Tyre size and pressure? Have u scanned the car for codes? Do u have a check engine light on?

my toyota 2001 model has that engine check light for over two years now,it goes off whenever I change the battery but comes back afterwards..my mechanic seems to be cool with it..please do u think there is something I should do to avoid any issue in future or is it cool,cos the car is giving me no issue.

Don't mind those people, they are real but it is more like a marketing but the only annoying part is that they are not likely to provide support. For instance you may be expected to provide an office for yourself in Kadunna and develop customers to register with the institute. They are not even considerate at all asking job applicants to come from different states of the country to Benin without minding the cost implications. At least a phone interview would have been ideal to give one a better understanding of what they want before involving in risks.

I am qualified and I don't mind if they can ignore my Bsc and gimmi a chance to try..the issue is just the Bsc and the age.(29)
