I want to thank you all most especially MrsBee1,dere5, to mention but few. It's exactly 9days now that I got to the US. My POE was in Houston and it went thus

Cbp: why are you here?
Me: for child birth
Cob: what is child birth
Me: to have my baby delivered here
Cbp:how many month are you
Me: 33wks gone
Cbp: what, I mean how many month?
Me: 33wks(couldnt start calc for the month biko )
Cbp:how much do u have
Me: Told him(thou more than my medical bills in cash.)
Cbp :ok, someone will have to take u for secondary inspection.
Me: ok ( me I don ready for una , )


Many people waiting. Me only ninja babe but 2 pregnant woman. Stayed 1hour+ before I was called.

2nd cbp: oh I can see u are here to have ur baby.
Me: yes
Cbp: is this your first
Me:3rd but 1st in the US.
Cbp: how much do u have
Me: bla bla n bla wit bla bla n credit card(showed him)
Cbp: Do u have a Doctor
Me: yes showed him my doctors correspondence
Cbp: have u payed any money?
Me: no, but I have all the money to pay.
Cbp: what does ur Dh do?
Me : bla bla bla
Cbp: what do u do?
Me: Told him.
Cbp: did u make the one on u
Me: yes
Cbp : whoa ! How is business in Nigeria
Me: great.
Cbp: can I count the money pls
Me: sure (gave him all the money)he counted it and handed it over to me.
Cbp: please make sure you pay all your money and keep all receipts.
Me: sure will.
Cbp: how long would you be staying?
Me : 3month. ( he stamp me in for 6month).And gave me back my passport. No Agric.Even when I have food.

Really it was God at work. And I give all glory to him. Still taking my time luking for a good n cheap hospital and Doctor that is not too far from where I stay.

Since you have less than a week left before your departure i will strongly advice you pay Oakbend the $600 and use them,since it's not to far from Katy. And also find out from them if you can use the Methodist at Katy for delivery. You just have to make up your mind fast and make a move,time is not on your side o

Got to doha n was sent to meet a US rep:he asked wat we were going to d US for ,told him for childbirth/vacation,asked if we metioned dat during our interview we said no,but we later notified d embassy for change of plans,he asked to see it wich we showed him,he asked for doctors correspondence we gave him(am using Dr Dama/methodist Sugarland )he asked y going to d US to have d baby n y not in naija,we said for better health care cos mother /child mortality rate is high that's why we choose d US,he said they are going to review oakbend medical group cos most people tend to use them,after which he gave us our passport,waited for 2hrs before we left for New York,d flight was a long one we were 2pregie on d flight the other woman develop some complication and doctor/nurse we needed to attend to her,dnt knw wat happen wen we got to New York. We used the self automated machine,our slip was marked x,it was a long queue before it got to our turn,a female CBP officer attended to us,asked how long we are saying DH told here he would be staying for 10days while I would stay for 8wks,she asked y I would be staying that long,told her we are here for vacation and childbirth,she asked me to scan my finger n snap me,hubby did d same n our passport was stamped,checked the stamp and it was just B2 that was on the stamp,went back to meet her but she told us that it covers for the six month,that there is no problem.we were sent to agric cos I carried fish and some spices,our bags was rescaned nothing was seize,collected our luggage and went to chat up our flight with jetblue to houston.it was God all d way chilling at d hotel but would be using precious cedar,my appointment is next week. Gud day everyone.
Pls I would need ur advice. For the past few weeks now have being calling virtually all the nos of hospital n doctor's I got on this thread. But responds were poor n not encouraging.

I later got 2 hospitals. Oakbend and Doctoresparati.
Oakland ask me to pay a deposit of $600 and Doctoresparati ask me to pay $150 for registration before appointment letter can be issue to me. and all of this payment will not be refundable if am not going to use the hospital.

My fear is the distance. One is 40mins to where I will be staying n the other is 9hrs .

My host promise to drive me around if and only if my hospital is around Kathy. And as I speak , all calls I made to Kathy hospitals says they don't do childbirth.

Pls I need your help.My flight is on the 14th of this month and I still don't have a Doctor, hospital nor an Appointment letter to show at POE.

Things like doctor and hospital correspondence, if you are employed ,your letter approving your leave etc. Just read the thread,by the time you finish,you will be fully equipped.

Hian! $600 kwanu,it use to be free o,then it went up to $300,now it's $600.God help us o,that's almost 280-290K in Naira . I won't advice you to pay it o,since you are not planning to use him,except you are,then,it will be deducted from your final bill.
What i would advice you to do is read this thread thoroughly with a pen and jotter and take down as much Dr and hospitals email address as possible and keep firering those email and I'm sure that before long you will get an unconditional reply that you can use for your interview and POE ? GOODLUCK

Your doctor's correspondence doesn't have to be from a Dr in Kathy,it could be from a Houston Dr as well and you can port to Katy.. Texas is the most used state on this thread ,so your getting a letter from a Dr & hospital in Texas shouldn't be a big deal

Thanks for the respond dere5. But the Dr I got in oakbend ask me too pay a deposit of 600dollars before I can be given an appointment letter . And was told if I don't use them there will be no refund of my money.
