Thank you for your attention to this matter too, but you are wrong. There is nowhere in economics or morality that it is discouraged that the manufacturer sells directly to the consumer. In fact that is the ideal scenario - elimination of the middle man. The only reason you don't see a lot of selling to the final consumer is because of specialization. It is difficult to specialize in both manufacture and distribution. Airlines sell directly to the consumer (the flyer) but they also use middle men (travel agencies) not because they're trying to help them but because they have the specialty to sell more tickets!

As for government stepping in, OF COURSE! There are so many things the government ought step in, including all these loan apps and ponzi schemes!

You are mixing up service providing and manufacturing.

A servic provider like the airline can sell directly to the consumers irrespective of the fact that retail businesses are built around discounted airline fairs which the airline make available to these retailers like Nigeria's wakanow.

Subsidy removal was never meant to stop borrowing.

The reason why Nigeria borrows at a high rate is because we are not a productive nation . Our revenue is tied to the price of oil which does not favour us most of the time.

The problem with Tinubu is that he is not exploring alternatives to reduce borrowing. Like improved productivity.
