Please who knows the current flight of return ticket from Nigeria to France?
Go on airfrance website itself.
Or just google cheap flights from Nigeria to France and you will see different options.

What happens if a decision is yet to be reached on your application but waiting period has exceeded your travel date and for that reason had to cancel some or all of your reservations to avoid losing money?
Due to higher number of applications and backlog and since the prolonged waiting period is clearly their fault, that shouldn't affect the outcome the best they can do is to give you 3-6months or a year so you can travel at a later date when you wish.
But you can not predict a caseworker that is already looking for an excuse to refuse you regardless.

Attached file was just seen on instagram, imagine ?

Please who knows the average processing time for france visa. I am seeing on TLS website extended processing time of 3 weeks minimum. I am afraid because my appointment for submission of application at TLS is tomorrow 20 june whie i booked my flight 12 june. I don't know if The application would have been processed and returned for pick up before 12 june.
Flight booked and already paid for ?that is a big risk when you can not guarantee the outcome?
Although if what you are saying is, because you claimed you will be travelling by the 12th and incase they haven't treated your application closer to your travel date will that have a negative impact on the outcome ?
I do not think so, there is still enough time you still have more than 20days, they know sometimes you may not even travel on the dates you put on your application, if not they should have been issuing the specific dates and duration only except cases where you going for an event and that date would have passed within that waiting period then maybe ?
So Relax.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Atinukemi23: 11:20pm On Jun 19, 2024
You mean july ?
From the day of your appointment you need to allow up to 10-15days but it may be longer but in most cases within 2weeks.
Check with others, they posted their timelines recently and it was within 2weeks, but do not forget due to the olympics round the corner they may have a slight back log and that may add more days but fingers crossed and all best.

Collected our Passport and we got Visa of 45day single entry
Biometrics date- 20th May 2024
Collection Email- 3rd June 2024

Am a frequent travel with previous 1 Year Schengen Visa (expired Nov 2023) issued by Italy, Previous 3 Months Schengen Visa Issued by France, Valid US and UK Visa.

While My wife had only Germany Transit visa and Valid UK Visa Hence she is a first timer to Schengen Area.

I was Suprised that we were given just 45days single entry with maximum stay of 30 days huh.

Anyway we shall manage it, Goodluck everyone :
Na wa for them o.
Please is the 45days from the granted date ? Or from the date of your proposed travel date ?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Atinukemi23:
You can use that, but is it free cancellation ?
If not go on booking.com ibis, premier inn, holiday inn so many budget cheap hotels with free cancellations and breakfast.
Letter from employer is good, and your contract of employment, and if your employer can state that they are aware of your holiday dates it is beneficial.
Now I can not guarantee you 6months, funnily enough my first schengen visa from the UK back in 2018 I was granted a year with multiple entry, I used that visa like the world was going to end lol which was unbelievable, my friends then were granted 2weeks a friend had 5days (lol) and my subsequent visas after was 3months and I got a less than a month at some point ( although my passport at the time had exactly 6months validity.

It depends on the person treating your case tbh.
The pattern in the past used to be 3-6months then a year, three years and 5years.
But alot has changed and this brexit thing didn't make it any better.
As many supporting documents to proof that you will return.
Because you are in the Uk doesn't make it automatic, Italy denied me after I have had 2 multiple schengen visas from France, hungary denied me and yes it is from here in the UK but France was nice to me as I went there the third time but I used the visa to still go to Milan since italy denied me.
Greece is very generous also, and they do have more appointment slot, I think with them you can even walk in to their embassy I think on a thursday but that was like 5-6years ago alot might have changed.
All the best.

[quote author=vikaosi post=130411515]Please could someone assist me with a list of documents I need to submit for France tourist visa.

1) your completed application signed
2) free cancellation hotel on booking.com
3) flight is cheaper, or you book your train on eurostar.com
Hotels are closer to gare du nord ( ibis and co) if you travel by train but by flight you will have to extend your search to charles de gaulle.
4) 3months bank statements just print it out
5) payslips 3months, if you are studying include a letter from school if working, letter from employer( optional tbh)
6) Travel insurance from royal mail website or on voyagertravelinsurance.co.uk less than 20quid.
7) include a cover letter.
Check others list of documents.
All the best.

I almost paid yesterday morning for Lagos, and it reserved it for 2hrs and waiting for me to make payment, I wanted another date so I did not carrying on with the date and after 2hrs the booking window was opened.

I checked abuja and for first timer there was 27th and 28th of June and for Lagos no June only from the 9th of July till end of August.

Although the website glitched few times.
Keep trying.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Atinukemi23: 8:44am On May 28, 2024
please for those who have a dummy account for booking, is there any appointment for Abuja?

We are first timer hence we were only seeing slots from July (Lagos) but will it be different with Abuja ?
We are happy to Fly to Abuja if there will be any slot for June.
Many thanks.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Atinukemi23: 11:14am On May 27, 2024
Wawu!
Maybe because we are first time traveler ?
I checked again still showing july.
No May and No June at all.
Is it because it is a Large Family of 4 ?
And maybe those slots available are for single or less than 4 applicant ?
Still hoping we wouldn't have mind the end of May.

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Atinukemi23: 7:18am On May 27, 2024
Hello House, I have completed the France applications for family of 4, one adult and 3 underaged.
On Tls for Lagos at about 6:am today the 27th there is no slot at all for the month of June only from the beginning of July - aug although travel dates is end of Aug but because of school break is in 2weeks as the oldest of the underage is over the age of 12 so physical appearance is required for biometrics.
Are there any chances in getting a cancellation for June ? I know the olympics thing has increased slot demand and even if there may be cancellation it may be for one applicant and we are 4 or should we just go with first week in July before its all taken and keep checking if dates can be amended ?

Keeping fingers crossed!

It says they'll be contacted within 3 months with the outcome. Does it mean it was approved as it doesn't expressly state this. I understood it as the decision will be reviewed in the next 3 months following the information your legal rep shared they'll be contacted with a decision.

Thanks for sharing this. It's always interesting to see how refusals are overturned.
Apparently we gave 14days PAP notice for re - consideration and if they had not reply within the 14days we would have pushed forward for JR in court.
So they basically looked at the evidence before them and look at the rules of law that was raised and they did agree that a reconsideration on the refusal should be permitted, they could have come back to tell us they are not re-considering it and we should go to any court here on Earth or beyond as they won’t overturn it.

So from now and the next three months they may or not ask for more evidence or they may ask them to go and submit their passports.

But if they come up with another refusal/rejection after this re-consideration and if it is challengeable we definitely going to but if not, we will re - apply and that gives us a good edge and also with this PAP history on record and we may Submit more evidence(s) to show madness full ground ( lol) but we are hoping that won’t be the case.
So we are patiently waiting.

I will definitely keep in touch with the outcome so to help others who are willing or not sure about going through this ROUTE.

Opeyemi007:
This could go on to six months though. My solicitor sent a PAP in October 2022, they replied after three months(January 2023) with another re-refusal(Reasons different from the initial ones). We sent another PAP in February (2023) and they replied in May(2023) agreeing with the challenge and granting the visa. It was a very long and daunting process. If I had reapplied without challenging, It would have been refused on some flimsy grounds. Wishing them the best
Wow, I am glad you got there at the end.
Did you get an email to have your passport resubmitted to TLS ?
And how long after you submitted it was the visa issued ?

We keeping our fingers crossed also, no matter how long it takes we are so willing to wait, than to risk re- applying and chances of refusing it is higher this present PAP took 14days exactly for them to allow the re - consideration. So we are hanging there.

For anyone who cares.
Biometrics 7th of June standard visitor family of 4

Decision was made on the 24th of June but was emailed some minutes ago ( refused ) based on financial grounds even though there were a lot of evidence provided but oops if they want to refuse you they will find a reason to.
The application was for my aunt and her kids in which I invited them.
Home office and their palava.
Good luck to everyone.
l

We challenged the ECO decision last month for reconsideration, like I said previously it is not all the ECO that knows what he or she is doing, some roasted me for that statement, I have seen so many refusals that made absolute no sense, they are humans, they have hormones too we have the bad eggs among them who just refuse you based on flimsy excuse(s).
I didn’t take the second refusal likely, as there was no difference between the previous refusal which was last year, and the this recent one and it is based on financial grounds( enough sufficient funds with proof). (Looked more like a copy and paste to me ) Pre action protocol (PAP) was sent to the home office giving them 14days to reconsider before taking it further to court for JR.
They responded on the 14th day and yes a senior caseworker in his/ her right senses looked at the evidence submitted and he/she did agreed it was sufficient enough to grant the entry clearance visiting visa in the first place.
If we had accepted fate and re - apply the third time it MAY be refused again and that is too much dent, although they claim every new application(s) is decided based on its merit but I do not want to believe they do not look at your past history with them in concluding.
So fingers crossed on when my aunt and her children will be asked to bring their passports, it shouldn’t take up to 3months sha.
Sometimes you just have to push some buttons.
Don’t let the refusal bring you down, but first, do the right thing.
And good luck to everyone.

Very correct Kel, However, Have it in mind, Rwanda is visa on arrival, but hold some usd. I was in Kigali last year, and we paid 55usd for some kind of test, i think covid and one other before allowed entry. My hotel was just about 5mins to the airport, a place called Kanombe . It is a small country of about 8m people, and very strict with their laws. Clean, Accomodating people but shine shocked your eyes when calculating your money with exchange guys. Payment systems are seamless , they have mpesa, moneygram and other pan african fintechs. I visited the Kigali Memorial, The Stadium , CBD, Made in Rwanda stores and couple of other places during my short stay. I hope you have a great time.

Just a quick one, is Rwanda visa on arrival for Nigerians travelling from Nigeria ?
Need to be very sure that I do not need to apply for the E-Visa online ?
Thanks.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Atinukemi23:

Rwanda is actually visa on arrival for Nigerians and it is free.

I have no idea why your SA visa was refused. Maybe you should take your time to look at it again if you did something wrong. In the last two months (June/July), I've applied for a couple of visas and all were approved. SA, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique and Kenya. While I agree that Nigerians have a tainted reputation I believe the content of your application might stand you out.

I've never used the SA eVisa thingy, so I have no idea how it works. Perhaps you should try the sticker Visa, I hear it's fast these days.
TBH going to the embassy is better the E-Visa thing is something else, rejected twice in 2weeks, first it was yellow card certificate says it’s invalid even though further evidence was submitted from the Ministry of health to show it is indeed valid and it was valid online before submitting it.

So I re applied with the same certified bank statements from LAGOS branch o.

Only to come back and tell me I have submitted invalid bank statements.
Wahala wahala wahala.
I have cancelled my hotel booking I have lost interest.

I would have done the VFS I reserve an appointment but I had an emergency to travel out immediately so that fee was forfeited not refundable and you have to book another date giving 48hrs notice hence I opted for evisa.

It is what it is.

Oh thanks for the heads up because I was thinking Kenya's fee is bit high when compared to SA's own but at least I go get am.
Mauritius is a place to be too visa free, but if you will be transiting through kenya, you need kenyan transit visa, with that if you use Kenyan airways and you transit through kenya the layover is actually enough to go out and do half a day safari tour in Kenya both ways you can use one stone to kill two birds.
I must warn you, the Kenyan street food are not for the faint hearted. Keep purging pills💊 handy.

I got a report from the BMA section at OR TAMBO about Nigerians over staying in their country. One thing can lead to another. Not saying it is a reason for rejections tho, but if you get back to Nigeria, use VFS. However, if you insist on vacay in other countries, Pls see zanzibar or Casablanca.

If you have a valid UK visa, just apply directly on their portal(Morocco)

Happy Holidays Atinuke and others.
No Lies!! The rate in which other countries are even refusing us no matter your past travel history if you like have a visa of heaven on your passport na refuse you dey.
They just look for a flimsy excuse and truth be told anywhere Nigerians touch we too dey over do.
Canada is the one opening their doors to us now but sooner or later we may be banned.

Yes I am on holiday presently in England so I am applying with naija passport that’s why I am doing E visa.
Kenya is lovely, been there, meself dey go Rwanda now.
Make dem
Hold their visa.
I saw another trend here in England and people from other countries who require a visa were denied sheepishly and a lot recommend you go to embassy to do actual biometrics where you have the opportunity to submit all original documents, their e visa service is not there yet.

God knows how many days it took their dha website to be responsive their e visa service is poor abeg, some were lucky tho, but because some are lucky doesn’t mean the rest of us did a wrong thing it all
Depends on the
Mood of your caseworker.

I did E Visa for kenya last year and within 48hrs no hassle it was granted.
Make southy go sit down abegii.

I just thought i should add this here quickly, for those of you applying fresh for SA visa, Please get a reference letter from your bank, signed and delivered to merge with your bank statement for upload. Do not upload the bank statement alone.

Please take note. You can get a reference letter from your bank, just go and request for it. It is simple.

Department, Home Affairs has been rejecting alot of visas lately because they feel the SOA are adulterated.
Looking like they are on mission to just punish some of us.

I applied on the 12th with a certified bank statements and PDF clearer version there was no problem they rejected because of yellow certificates.

Re applied following week with the same bank certified statements and recent re downloaded statements to show closing balance with enough sufficient Fund and business accounts all certified and yellow certificates.

Now they rejected that the bank statements are invalid.
Their e visa service is really really poor.
Be like say dem go hold their visa na my money I won go spend.
I am re routing to another country.
Good luck Everyone.

I went to the dashboard and in the progress status it says Adjudication outcome received, but I can't seem to find the outcome, whether my eVisa was approved or not. I checked the documents and letter part and there's nothing there asides from the 14 days notice I was issued about 3 days ago.

Where can I find the outcome?
Have you managed to see it ?
There is an 👁️ eye icon that is normally beside when you click on it then you will see the attachment.

How much is the application fee via DHA?
Less than 20k in naira per person.

I used a GBP card to make payment for the previous one and I was charged around £74 for 4 people and that in naira is almost 75k so that divided by 4 is around 18k.

I advise you all to take your time , be calm and study the processes on the portal before you begin.

Knowledge is power.

Most of the queries asked here are on the website.

Just go through them carefully and establish some contact too in the process..

I also want to say for those sending me mails on how to convert tourist visa to resident permit, please confirm from the query department.

One thing I do for sure is that I read alot and have been able to gather lots of information on visa processes which aids my application.

So , I encourage everyone to do same, it will help alot.

Goodluck guys.
