Please anyone to help me... Please...
If they can verify Nigerian bank accounts why not the building society accounts in their country it takes just one EMAIL.
When you tick that declaration box you have accepted to have a background check carried out on you from third parties and who are third the parties ?)
You are number 1
Home office number 2
Third parties and not limited to banks, criminal record even village people lol.

Take it easy bro!

If you are both sponsoring the trip why can’t your wife single handedly do that since she’s paid monthly ? She is her MLW.
And why 2 months statements ? I know they say 2 or 3 months is fine but that is if you are applying from Nigeria but in this case both of you are already in the U.K. so I will say minimum of 4months if not 6months. ( I might be wrong ).

If you write a letter to address it to the British high commission and the heading should state letter of Invitation and whomever is sponsoring will states they are sponsoring the trip from flight tickets to feeding and if she is going to be staying at yours your tenancy agreement and council tax or Thames’s water bill should be included.

You see those funds that came into your account would require some explanation and the question is if you write an epistle explaining that in the cover letter how sure are you the ECO will read it a lot of them are lazy, when some are refused you will see that one or more reasons for the refusal was well detailed and explained by the applicants but they don’t care tbh.

For the correction of names I think an affidavit can resolve that to show she is the bearer of ABC and BCA as long it is Not ADE as D and E is not among ABC.

Hence why your madam should invite her perhaps wait a little longer for few months more to print statements not covering those above stated transactions and jointly invite her.

Lastly they verify bank statements here and abroad.

An Uncle of mine who is one of the branch manager in Fidelity bank, the ECO send over 10 students bank statements to their head office for verification of the funds in those accounts and believe it or not all the accounts were FAKE in-fact one had just 20thousand naira in closing balance but submitted a closed statement of 10m ( isn’t that a miracle ?).
You rather wait and do the right thing and get it right or rush and get spanked.

Views expressed is mine alone, weigh others opinion’s too.
All the best.

Nothing. Some take more time than others. Hopefully she doesn't need her passport for something else.

Hi friend! Have you got a decision yet?
Not yet still keeping fingers crossed hopefully before the end of this week or latest nextweek although they are currently short staffed and there has been strike of and on about the decision of the home office deporting people to rwanda so fingers crossed.
Are you waiting too ?
When did you submit your biometrics?

Thank you! Really want to know what my chances are. I did my biometric in Abuja on the 1st of June
There is no limit to how many times you can reapply or how long you should wait for till you can reapply as every new application submitted is decided based on the information provided at the time and you ensure you work on the reason(s) for your last refusal and you can state that in the visa refusal history/travel and immigration history section and you can also include it in your cover letter or the extra information section provided at the end of the application before your declaration.
Since it’s a conference and not just for visit/ tourism only I do not think re applying now means you are very very very desperate, this is a business trip.
With the current exchange rate you have to be sure you can still afford £2000 personal fund and even after the supposed trip won’t you go broke and be destitute you have to show proof to convince the ECO.
See if you can still meet up for the one in July if not go for the next one and all the best.
Views expressed is mine alone.

Ferdinard266:
Good morning everyone, Please I applied for a visit visa to the UK to attend a conference scheduled for 25th July which my office was going to sponsor but got denied yesterday. The reason for the denial was because I didn’t show proof of my own personal saving of £2000 which I mentioned I have during my visa process despite showing proof of fund from my office.
So my question is can I reapply for a visa again for this conference and show proof of fund or should I reschedule the conference for a later date and reapplyhuh
Please can someone advise further on what to do
Sorry about your refusal you still have time to re apply and work on your present reason for the refusal.
Or perhaps you can move the date and go for the next one if that would give you enough time to put everything together and now the exchange rate is going up on Oanda putting naira fund balance to shame.
All the best.
When did you submit your biometrics?
Lagos or Abuja ?
Thanks.

Hello,
Sharing a timeline
Standard Visitor
( non priority service )
Biometrics 7th of June ( Ikeja)
Transferred the same day 7th June June.
Email received on the 11th of June (Sunday lol ) from DMC.
Nothing yet!

Thank you for your visa/entry clearance application which has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days and settlement applications within 60 working days (unless you have opted for a Priority Visa service).

We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, due to operational restrictions. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible.

Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC.

Kind regards
Croydon DMC

Definitely generic I won’t let it bother me as 2 different emails received almost the same time.
They now have some bunch of jokers at the DMC in Croydon, you will be surprised that they don’t even read most of the cover letters or pay attention to your applications, you see some of their refusal letters not constructed well I no no if na A levels students they recruited to email you it is when they make a big error and you fire them an email back they run to the case worker and you get a reply on time.
The DMC in Liverpool are better I saw timeline of those who submitted their biometrics around end of May and they got their pick up email this week ending although they are in ASIAN countries ( people from the current PM place) na dem dey rule now.
For everyone waiting hang in there to be honest PRAYER is the key regardless on how perfect your application or cover letter is you can still be pushed out of the window.
Good luck everyone.
