Take note of the points below before making your decision:

Renewal of Passport is actually done 6 months to the expiring date, in your case you cant do that now cos Sep 2022 is more than 6 months to this time..

Also Visa is valid for a year. Meaning the Visa will expire a year after it was issued to you..

So you actually have the options of staying back to renew it here or travelling to Canada before your Visa Expires to renew it there..

It all depends on you..

if one renews his passport before travelling, I hope the person won't have issues at the point of entry? Also, will the immigration officers at the POE stamp the old passport that carries the visa or the new one?

Can one renew the passport that has a student visa even if it's not up to 6months to the expiring date? The reason is that the passport will expire March 2023 and I don't think I would have time renewing my passport in Canada and reapplying for the visa inside Canada.

did you use Lagos VFS? They will send u an email with tracking number. Just be patient

it's a good sign. Congratulations in advance. Go to IOM or qlife in person. They should schedule a date for medical for you. Explain to them that you got medical request and there's no available date on their website

The tuition fee was higher like close to 20,000cad, after the scholarship waiver, it dropped to 4500cad. And I am to receive close to 16,000cad yearly.
I wasnt even asked by the school to pay the fees yet but from the explanation of the waiver letter, I picked that i still have 4500cad to pay.
If 4500cad is remove, I would be left with like 12000cad

while you wait for help from the group, it's always best to email the school directly. They are in the best position to answer this question perfectly.

I applied for post graduate diploma- 2 years

Documents submitted were as follows
SOP
Acceptance letter
First semester tuition deposit receipt
Undergraduate certificate
CV

Then sponsor was my father
Letter from his employer as executive director of the company
Introduction letter from his bank
His 6 months bank statement note that I had a lump sum deposit at the end of the account as my dad had to liquidify part of his shares in that bank
I was very worried about this part as I didn’t get to explain this in my SOP
Sponsors passport page and previous visas
Sponsorship letter from my father
Valuation of our house it was about 90m so didn’t bother to submit for other properties
I was worried with this as this was our present place of resident

My home ties
My parents
Offer of employment from the audit firm where I served as I just finished NYSC last year so I didn’t bother to use employment letter from my present place of employment
Also a letter from my dads school as I’m one of the directors of the place and I will be coming to take over
All of this I explained in my SOP even if it wasn’t very detailed

not so much documents submitted but Alhamdulilah it ended in praise
I wish every one of us awaiting PPR the very best
Will be dropping landing gist soon as school resumes by January

I used LOE only. Since LOE explains everything, I saw no reason attaching SOP.

Approval rate for applicants from Nigeria is below 12%.
Applicants from countries with challenging economic, security and political situation have very slim chances of getting accepted. They are more likely to stay back after their studies. I mean, how many Nigerians have returned after their UG or PG education in Canada?

so Indians and others don't stay back? And since it's not illegal to stay back I see nothing bad in staying back.

Yes, a different Visa Officer worked on your hubby's application..

With the approved reports I have gotten so far, that particular Visa officer (AH03849) has not attended to any approved application..

More reports from approved applicants will be appreciated, because its still early to conclude..
