Christianity Etc › Re: How I Got Born-again (Christians Only) by ATMC(f): 4:07pm On Jan 05, 2013
italo: Interesting story...and thanks for sharing. However, not everyone has to go through such rendezvous before they can be a true Christian (as some people might think).

I was born Catholic and became born-again when I was baptized as an infant. I got to know Christ in a very deep and pure way from what I was taught as a child by Priests, Catechists, Parents etc. Since then I (as St Paul urged) have been trying to work out my salvation with fear and trembling. I try to stay faithful to the teachings of Christ which I received and embraced at baptism. I try to improve my relationship with Christ through many devotions like attending mass, praying the rosary, visits to the Blessed Sacrament, reading Sacred Scripture, reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church etc. When I cut myself off the grace of God by my sins, I try to return to him by going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) which Christ instituted in John 20:22,23. Through Holy Communion, I encounter Christ in a special and intimate way when I receive him (body, blood, soul and divinity). I hope to continue steadfastly in God's grace and love until when he calls me from this life...as my past journey won't matter if I fall away.
keep living d faith!

@op, your story is very inspiring...
My story; i wish i had a remarkable story but mine is just simple, i went to spend my third term holiday with my uncle. I's in primary 3 then. My uncle had a four month old son then, one day d wife left d house and i's left alone with her child, when it was time for me to feed d baby [cerelac], i finished d baby's food and gave him small quantity. Then i proceeded to d tin, i ate it all [i don't know why it didn't occur to me to remain small or at least take small quantity lest i be found...till date i don't know what i's thinking then]. When My aunty came back, she took her crying baby to breastfeed him, then she asked me to bring his feeder so she'll make his food, i went and brought d feeding bottle and stood at d door, she told me to bring d cerelac tin, i told her dt its finished, she got up with her baby, went and shook d tin to confirm and she screamed and asked me what happened, i told her dt i ate it...she laid her baby on d bed and gave me an unforgettable beating and then i cried so much and amidst tears i said to her so because i ate your baby food, dt's y you beat me like this, i will not come to your house again for holiday[as i'm writing this now, i don't see anything in this statement but it touched her], she called me to come, i refused...i continued crying until i slept off on d floor where i was. I woke up later, and she beckoned me to come to where she was, i did and she started preaching to me and told me dt what i did was wrong and she opened d bible and asked me to read eph 6, then i'd started reading, i read it[dt was my first time of reading d bible] and she preached to me and told me to be a good child.
Years after, i went to secondary school, i used to follow a particular pentecostal students to their church cos they are d only ones allowed to go to church outside d school[and a family friend of ours lived near their church, so i used to sneak in there and pick up some things dt i needed or just to eat sunday rice], one sunday, their pastor came inside school for d anointing service, i was there and after the preaching, the man began to worship and people were fallen under d power, some spoke in tongues and nothing physical happened to me and i said a short prayer, dear god i want to speak in other tongues. We got back to d hostel dt day and i went to my school mother and told her dt i was feeling somehow, she told me to go and lie on my bed, dt i did and i slept till d next morning, i woke up early, knelt by d side of my bed to pray and i burst into tongues, i tried to stop but it continued and dt was 11 years ago and till date it has not ceased. After i left secondary school, i met a man by name ken katas and one prosper, they both introduced me to reading inspirational books and d first book i read was the school of d spirit by liardon, since then my desire is and always will be more of him and less of me.

Romance › Re: Why Do Nice People Choose The Wrong People To Date... by ATMC(f): 6:42am On Jan 05, 2013
codemaster2much: why do good girls like bad boys
there are more than one reason; the first is dt they choose them because they want to see if they can change them.
The second is that they choose them because the bad guys chose them first, you get, liking someone because the person first liked you or forced you to.
They can also choose them for d fun of it you know, like in school, a good girl may date a bad boy for fame and for fun.
Another reason they choose them is, d bad boys have a way of letting you be yourself without expecting high standards from you unlike d good boys dt already have a set way a girl is supposed to act, with d bad boy, you 're in for a groove.
Above all there is d karma reason!
But i know dt most bad boys are very intelligent and it leaves me wondering why are d very intelligent ones badly flawedhuh
