Family › Re: I Told My Hubby To Stop Using My Money.am I Wrong? by Aude(f): 4:11pm On Jul 18, 2015
@Joavid: Nowhere in her post did she mention household bills. Doing a baby dedication isn't a regular household expense. That's why I asked the question. I didn't jump to conclusion but asked for more information. Use your own advice, read slowly, don't make assumptions, ask questions, and don't infer from a couple of sentences.

@op: thanks for the response. I can see you are a devoted wife. My advice will be for you to stand your ground. Your husband needs to learn how to stick to a budget. I don't encourage secrecy in a marriage. Tell your husband how you feel, he may be angry for a while but once he realizes that you will not budge, he will learn how to manage his finances. Sometimes tough love is the best remedy.

Next time, ready slowly. Read to understand.

Obviously, she helps. She has no issue with him spending her money(which also means she has no issue using her money for household bills.
She's trying to save for her masters.

This is the time for her hubby to be prudent.[/quote]

@op : My question to you is, how do you guys share the household bills? I hope you are not one of those women who expect their husbands to foot all the bills, while they spend their money on themselves. I'm asking because I find it strange that your husband is always short of money and you are always bailing him out.

that is not the issue, infact i will love to do so, but my boss will not tolerate me leaving my post for anything unofficial, another thing is that i do not want it to look like 'because you have ties with the boss, you can jump up and down as you wish'. You see?
So don't you have lunch breaks or are you expected to work the whole day without leaving your desk? Maybe it is your over-familiarity with the ladies that encourages them to take advantage of you. If you weren't depending on them to run errands for you then they won't have the opportunity to exploit you . Sometimes we are the architects of our problems.

What is wrong with your legs and mouth? Why can't you go and buy your own food? I don't understand why a lot of Africans think because they are in a higher position they should use those below them as their servants. Get off your behind and go and buy your own food. Also if you don't have money what is so difficult in telling them you cannot keep on spending money on them.
Romance › Re: Nigerian Girls! Why??? Una Need To Stop... by Aude(f): 8:18pm On Jul 06, 2015
@OP: When you hang out with uneducated girls, you should not come here lamenting about the mental capacity of Nigerian girls. Why would an adult not know who a poet is? Please start interacting with educated and intelligent girls. Also stop blowing your trumpet, no one likes a know-it-all.
Family › Re: Must A Woman Be Married To Get Respect? by Aude(f): 4:22am On Apr 22, 2015
@Onyiridike :

I did not include your writings because I felt you did not address the issues I raised. Where in my post did I tell you I was single? Did I encourage women to try to "be superior to men" ? Marriage is all about equality. A man and woman come together as one. You see why I said you are backwards. If this was an exam you would have failed miserably.
Please could you also quote where it says in the bible that refusing to marry is a sin. I would love to read that passage in the bible. Please read my original post and you would notice that I was promoting the value of being a strong independent woman, single or married. I was just simply disgusted with your claims that single ladies are promiscuous. If you are married I am sure you were single before you tied the knot. So did you sleep with various men for material and financial gain? Marriage could be wonderful if you are lucky to meet the right person but not everyone for one reason or the other gets the privilege of experiencing it.
Also I would point out that as a woman you should never call another woman's child a bastard because you never know what the future holds.
As for the rest of your rant I am happy to praise strong independent woman who are making a name for themselves, single or married.

Onyiridike:

[i] Yes!

4. An unmarried lady is always seen as a prostitute even if she is the richest person in the world. Of course, she sleeps with different men for money or mere sexual gratification. Who respects such a woman?
5. God instituted marriage for a purpose. If you choose to remain single for the sake of the kingdom of God, fine. However, if it is otherwise, i.e. you deliberately refuse to marry, it is a sin.

Just these two points from you show how backwards you are. There are a lot of single women out there who pay their bills and do not need a man to take care of them. Trust me it feels good when you can contribute financially in a marriage or take care of yourself as a single lady. There are also some single ladies who are celibate, while there are others who are in committed relationships. We all know that marriage does not stop promiscuous women from seeking sexual gratification from different partners. So your belief that single ladies sleep around is too generalized and makes me question the kind of people you hang out with.
Your point about it being a sin when a person deliberately refuses to marry, well I am Catholic and in all my years of going to church I have never heard such rubbish.
My advice to you is to broaden your horizon. Try and meet strong independent married and single ladies. It will help educate and motivate you, and also give you a better perspective on life.
Fashion › Looking For A Great Seamstress Or Tailor In The GTA (greater Toronto Area) by Aude(op): 9:15pm On Jan 27, 2015
I am looking for a great (skilled and professional) seamstress or tailor located in the GTA. I would love to have African outfits sewn for me. I would prefer someone who is current with the latest trends and fashion and definitely knows what they are doing. If anyone could give me the address details of such a person or if there is any seamstress or tailor reading my post please do not hesitate to pass on your contact details. I do live in Toronto but can travel to Brampton and Mississauga. I would even travel as far as Waterloo or Oshawa if it is worth the trip. I do appreciate any help.
