Developing leadership skills has therefore become even more imperative with teams looking for guidance and working with open-ended equilibrium at the same time. It takes courage to step out of the ordinary and guide fellow team members towards a goal which speaks of success and benefit of all. Read More

Passion: Those interested in Video Making

THE IDEA:
Most of the time people think that to make a video you need powerful cameras, camera directors, stage directors, or producers, and at the end they get discouraged from the very simple ideas that can spring them into millions.

Humans love to see new stuff, maybe something cooler than what they are used to seeing daily. Most time they will be willing to pay for it, if it will teach or inform them on how to get a particular thing done, or show them how to solve a problem. YouTube discovered this problem and solved it and so people can now have access to free videos online. Cool stuff.

But the challenge and the business opportunity lies in the fact that most of Nigerian youths or Adults who have access to internet are so careful spending their data commonly called 'MB' on streaming these fred videos or even downloading them, plus you are all aware that the longer the video's duration, the higher the size. As a result, most Nigerian consider these free videos not still free because you still have to spend your mb to get something free.. No way!

Exploring the different areas Where you can specialize on video making and sell them in Vcd's or Dvds or on nokia, apple, Blackberry stores for a fee, we have several categories as listed below, but i'll list 3 here:

1, Educational Contents:
Educational contents such as Video Tutorials on tough courses for secondary and university students. A student who misses classes, or have poor understanding when taught in class, or feels too proud to learn from class mates would prefer to listen to comprehensive and professionally made video tutorial on the course especially if the entrepreneur takes proper time to make the video rock solid with good content. And like you know, students talk about cool stuff. A satisfied student will tell plenty other students and will help you rise financially. You may not be so educated to voice or feature in these educational videos, you can ofcourse hire part time workers and pay them after their job.

2) How to Videos:
How to videos are popular for Free on the internet but most of the things being taught on how to Videos online are mostly related to the white problems and nothing really on black, and like i mentioned earlier, nigerian web browsers are either afraid to spend their mb or their phones aint capable of streaming videos, so here is a niche for you to capitalize on.. Making videos of how you made your first 200,000 as a documentary won't be a bad idea to sell in cd shops or videos of how to prepare a local soup etc.. And to make your content safe from copyright thieves, you can have customers get authorized dealers address from your web site or introduce a pin technology.
You can so handle the sales with some staff that in 6 months, if your product goes viral like PSY GANGNAM STYLE VIDEO, you won't just hit a billion sales but maybe a few billion bucks, it all depends on your creativity and passion.

3) Job and Business Tutorials:
A friend on twitter once asked me which is more difficult to find, A Job, A Virgin or True Love in Nigeria.
There are a lot of job seekers, and people willing to start up business. I tell you, most of the job seekers out there just know they need a job but don't know what exactly they need. You can do videos and get these job seekers informed and exposed to the real world, get professionals interviewed for free and make your video into a documentary, hit CV's, hit the Interview process, do demos of Interview in your video. Be creative. Then roll out your videos to Dvds, apple stores, nokia stores, other video stores online and physically and keep your atm card handy always.

Start up for Video making is not too high. A good camera from 20 mega pixels can start the job, good vocalists and jobless potential actors or screen players can offer you cheap labour. The studio men and the production process will spare you, but at the end your creativity and sales team will win you the bank credit alerts. Am Jimlove, Idea Merchant.

More ideas soon. Pls follow on fb and twitter, and on nairaland. God bless.

Video helps in branding a company. It can either make or break a company. Thus, creativity plays an important role while promoting your brand.
