Im a VO and i am thinking, you have your personal business and you say 15 persons work under you, but you still rely on your rich uncle to sponsor 50% percent of your tuition fee not a single penny from you even when you own a business to support your academics. how is that so? or does your uncle also pay your workers?

I told him I'll take care of tuition while uncle will take care of other expenses. Read again.

that statement should mean something to you

Please what does it mean? Is it a crime for a business owner to go for a masters?

My passion for Business Analytics was sparked up when I helplessly watched my previous company fold up due to lack of business insights and strategies. During the course of running my business, I have seen a crucial need to leverage data in making accurate decisions. In other to get my business to the summit and help other businesses in Nigeria thrive, I realized I require more education and training. Hence my resolve for business Analytics

I got to know about UTdallas from topuniversities.com when searching for schools offering business Analytics

*How did you know about Business Analytics*
I stumbled on a journal on Big Data by Harvard Business school in Novare mall. After going through it, I realized business Analytics was exactly what I needed.

*What's your company into*
My company is into exterior building finishes. Cladding, glass curtain wall and structural glass work

*Why not an MBA*
An MBA is generic and covers various aspects. Business Analytics is specific and uses evidence based data for decisions. Modern tools are used to collect data and analyse them for trends to make accurate decisions. Decision is very crucial and as one who wants to set up a pioneer Business Intelligence firm in Nigeria, Business Analytics is what I really need now

Yes. They are very young and require all motherly care and affection

He will be taking care of them while I focus on my studies

I have the Dean's excellence scholarship which reduces my tuition by 50%. So I'll be paying about $13,000

My Uncle who is currently the Managing Director of xyz which has about 2 oil wells in Nigeria will be taking care of all other expenses.

Yes please. He looked through statement. Uncle had over $250,000 balance from last 6months

After thinking through the fact that I've had lots of career pauses due to being a nursing mother. I decided to leave my entire family behind as a tie and proceed for my masters.

*What will it do for you?*
Business Analytics will equip me with managerial and technical skills required to expand my business and set up one of the very first Business Intelligence consultancy firms in Nigeria that will make use of modern tools and technologies to collect data, analyze them for trends and effectively transform data into recommendations and insights that will help business stakeholders make accurate, strategic and prompt decisions that will help them increase their efficiency, improve their business processes and increase their profitability.

Having watched my previous company fold up due to lack of insights and strategies, I know I need more education and training since I'm from a science background. Business Analytics is an emerging field in Nigeria, so my firm will be one of the pioneer Business intelligence consultancy firms in Nigeria. With Business Analytics I'll be able to actualize both passion.

HELP!!
Please I am trying to schedule my visa interview appointment on the US visa application site but I'm late and my preferred date is past. Someone advised that I monitor the site and keep reloading the home page to get a preferred date. The problem I have is that this is the 3rd time I am being blocked from the site. The site prevents me from logging in within 48hours and then gives me back the access and after I try reloading the home page for a day or 2 they block me again. I need a date between the end of May and first week of June.
PLEASE IS THERE A TRICK I CAN USE SO I DONT KEEP GETTING BLOCKED AND I GET THE DATE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

For Lagos or Abuja?
If Lagos, there were lots of dates in May as at yesterday.

I also want to apply to Texas a and m university commerce for masters in computer science, please hope they don't need TOEFL and I had a cgpa of 3.74 in my undergraduate degree in computer science, what is the US equivalent please.

All schools I applied to waived my English test even when it was stated as a requirement. I emailed the one that didn't waive automatically that I've had all my education in English language and they waived it. You could send an email to the grad coordinator but I think tamuc will waive it.

Add your sister as a cosponsor and explain you were aware that your dad's balance was low but he promised to raise finance for your studies. Now that your dad has informed your sister and she is really willing to support you, You could get an affidavit of support from her. Also make sure she can sincerely pay your tuition because you can't afford to go out of status or engage in illegal work in the US. Remember you need enough funds to enable you concentrate on your studies. Please think through and be sure before reapplying.
Another option is to secure a sanctioned loan to fund your studies.

I was refused a visa last week and I will be going for another interview on Monday, I think I was refused because of my SOA so my sponsor has change dis time from my dad, to my elder sister , pls I need ur advice asap...

Did your Dad's balance cover all your i20 budget? How was the inflow and outflow? Was it a personal account? Was there a sudden influx of cash?

You should go for PhD. Your masters cGPA is good and you should secure a good admit with full tuition waiver and stipend if you do well in your GRE

Look up each school's program website and note what's unique about them and dwell especially on what makes your choice better in comparison.

Me: (this was where the rubbish started) I was trying to tell him why I chose Cleveland State University but he said no.. I should compare them.. I was try to give a point he cuts in..

You were supposed to tell him about your aspirations and how this degree will help you fulfill them. Identify the various challenges in Nigeria you could address with your degree

Me: I chose liberal arts because it concerns it self more about humanity and it deals with some aspects like logical ethical peace keeping peace building and disputes settlementation.. before I finish he cuts in

He gave you another opportunity to answer the above question. You can get into the Nigeria Police with a secondary school degree too. Stating the problems your degree will help you tackle in the Nigeria Police force could have been better.

Me: I will come back to Nigeria get employed with the law enforcement agencies.. the Nigerian police department to be precise

Good day VO, thank you devoting time to answer questions on this platform.

Please VO, I am a young Lady in my twenties but married with very young kids. I am very intelligent and look forward to getting to the summit of my career and I believe having kids shouldn't be an hindrance to achieving my set goals.
In order to bag the most envied US masters degree, I sat for the GRE recently and scored well above 300, I applied to about 4 Universities in the US and got admits. I even got the Dean's excellence scholarship that reduces my tuition by 50% in one of the top 100 universities because my GPA was around 3.34/4.
I have more than enough finance to cover all expenses BUT I keep getting feedback about the F-1 and F-2 visas that gives me so much concern.

I have a very young set of twins that require so much motherly care. My Hubby is very supportive of my goals and is willing to care for the kids while I focus on my studies as he is very sure this degree will enable us expand our Business in Nigeria and set up a New consultancy firm.
Most persons say I won't be granted a Visa if my family will accompany me to the US and that they should apply later after I arrive. I feel so sad about this as my family is very important to me and I can't go for any program without being certain that my babies would be fine. I have searched online for cases of f1 students accompanied by f2 dependents but couldn't find much.
Please if true, this is not fair... I think I should be accessed on my qualifications for a masters program, how well I would perform and the impact of my studies on my Business and not based on my marital status. I am already thinking of exploring other options for studies but I feel bad that I can't acquire a US degree not because I'm not qualified but because I have young babies I have to care for.

Your best bet is to take a prodigy finance loan....
If you differ your admission I think you'll have to interview again and you may not get the visa a second time
