I went to my pineapple farm today, and my joy knows no bound right now. I harvested my first pineapple fruit from the farm. And it’s makes me feel so proud farming my food. I would be digging into this lovely fruit once I’m home.
SWEET POTATO-VINES are still available FOR SALE….
PINEAPPLES would soon be available for sale also.

Nice!
However, I feel a lot of spaces are left unutilized in-between your maize. I understand it won't allow for easy operation of your weeder, but then again, you need to consider other revenue generating crops that could fit well into those spaces.
You may want to consider greens (amaranth or celosia), okro, or even melon.

I actually utilized the space in between the corns for root production of the sweet potatoes. Pictures attached

Hello op. How did u tackle insect pests organically?
I actually tackled them with the use of neem oil. If used correctly, it acts as an effective pesticide and insecticide

This is beautiful, honestly farming output gives an amazing wow, feeling. You will feel like; just now this things don grow like this,in disbelief.Farming is bae, please make sure you're smart while harvesting your potatoes,so they won't play a fast trick on you.The harvest from this farm should be more than expected.
Amen ooo by Gods grace.

Good morning Sir,i love your tenacity, please keep it up. I'm just thinking, have you planted potatoes before,if no.Please do a thorough follow up reaseach in order to maximize the output.Potatoes can be quiet funny, during harvest. If you're not smart, you won't know where they're hidden, and you will be digging the wrong place. I know from personal experience,I also think the spacing out is too close, just my personal views though.Keep up the good work, I'm following.God bless you.

Good morning. I really appreciate you for your comments and observation. I believe I would get a hang of it more as I proceed further with the project. I’ve learnt a whole lot and I’m still learning. About the spacing, the reason I used the prescribed spacing was due to the fact that I intended doing vine multiplication for the batch planted closely, they aren’t planted for the purpose of root production, although I know I would harvest quite a number of roots from it.. I’ve already started harvesting the vines and planting on ridges for root production..

Wow

She's lucky there's no petty thieves over there. Assuming it was here in Ogun , the thing will be riping inside thieves stomachs.

Congratulations to your mum, next harvest will be bountiful.

Now this statement put fear in my mind ooo.. make nobody go harvest my pineapple farm here in Ogun state oooo.. I fit cry if e happen. Been nurturing those babies for close to 18 months.

This was just the motivation I needed. I have it at heart to start farming this year, I have already secured a land and hopefully would clear it up by the end of this month. I am still contemplating on what to grow, I am hoping you could give me some suggestions. The land is in Abuja and the rains have gradually started.

Kindly give an advice to a newbie in farming, this is my first time.
As a newbie though, you could try your hands on maize or cassava or both.. Those crops are quite rugged and can withstand some severe weather conditions, depending on the variety planted.

If irrigation is in place, you could go with Pepper, Tomato, Plantain, Ugu, Potato, Yam.

In terms of long term crops, you could go with Palms, pineapples, Oranges, Mango, Teak tree. It all depends on what you intend on achieving at the end of the day…

You know I'm also a newbie at this. I'm currently learning in the process, but I could be of help in anyway I possibly can.

@ Austinreal. Good job. The weeder you posted up there. Was it used for clearing before planting, or you are using it to weed presently.?.
Is the machine effective against weeds?

I used the weeder before and after planting.. The picture posted was from yesterday at the farm. That's what I'm using to weed the maize.. it's quite effective against grassy weeds and early broad leaf weeds. Won't be too effective when the broad leaf weeds are mature

Another day at the field today. Those crops are looking highly impressive, as they have started forming covers to the ground. I’ve also started first weeding, which would all be done with zero chemicals..

Current progress on the vines… They are coming along pretty good. The rain has just been moving mad for the past couple of days, but with frequent watering practices, the crops have been faring quite well.
