Also, am more confused right now as it relates to the 365days Auction. From the CBN calendar, it was indicated that there will be no 365days auction this week but that will be available on the 22nd of September 2016. But to my greatest surprise CBN is dishing out a 365days auction today and with this auction of CBN, I've loosed out of today's 365days auction.

I got an offer at the secondary market from an Investment firm that bought via OMO and was willing to sell 199days at 17.6%

as for the auction....I will predict as follows

91 days --- 14.35%

182 days ----17%

364 days 17.5%


the amount of foreign inflow for this Auction is enormous.....

I will advise all to play safe and not to be too bullish..

I will be commencing production of packaged dried fish but only had little experience on how to prepare the smoked fish. All suggestion and advice is welcomed.

Am a bit disappointed that have stopped following this thread for a while and it is good to be back....the farm plus school have really taken my time. Just went thru the comments and observed that have missed a lot..."change" as really affected us...in our farm, we have just stocked to making our own local feed with rich supplements. And so far I must say the result as been quite pleasing as using imported feed. Concerning the price of fish, I heard they are still selling cheap in ijebu ode and so the buyers have been running there tho I know those still selling 500 will soon run out of stock and the buyers will have no choice than to come back. The lowest rate we have sold our stock since last 3 weeks has been 550....and they have been buying with joy(if they see 550) my advice to other farmed in this forum is that you guys should just keep feeding your fishes and don't panicked sell by next months fish go scarce and u go sell ur fish with reasonable profit.anybody selling at 500 is definitely at a loss....good job to all the bosses here...God will not let our labour to be in vain. We will not sweat and toilfor nothing and someone else enjoy the gain

I am an entrepreneur and just acquired a plot of Land which I intend using for a commercial fish farming venture. I have no knowledge/experience on fish farming and that's why I really would appreciate your contributions on how I can go about it. Some information I may need at the moment are;
1. Best possible size of the concrete pond that can house up to 1000 Juvenile to table size.
2. Best way to disinfect the pond so that the fish will not be affected.
3.The water PH that will be suitable or will aid the survival of the juvinile.
