I find this very enlightening and helpful. Thank you |
What nonsense! if you say you won't congratulate Wike haven't been declared winner of the just concluded governorship election, good and fine. but don't refer to whatever America or the EU or call them International observers say! are they themselves perfect? What gives you the impression that 'It is right or acceptable when they say so? This is one reason i don't give full respect to people who think and talk like you, who would swallow everything the western world say.in anycase, this is one major reason Africa and saddly Nigeria remains under foot, accepting or be been frightened at or by whatever America or the west say. I have lived in many europe countries and am still in europe, so i know what am talking about. Let me ask you Amaechi, what is right the unlawful and senseless shooting and killing of unarmed civilians in America? or what is the America govt and the so called international observers saying or doing about it? Please..please..face what is facing you. If the people you governed for how-long you did, say this how and where they want to go, so be it. You politicians should learn to know where politics end and governance starts.except your ambition is worth the heads and blood of the Rivers people. |
I am surprised at the defence and excuses by the APC people for the non-availability of required certificate! Imagine basing defence on the letter written by a principal of the alledged school GMB attended; (this again points out how due processes are intensionally under-mined) . In any case, the letter is just a recommendation from someone of reput; as their procedure demand! but this procedure does and cannot replace what the constitution or Inec law states. This also lets the world(Nigerians) know the in-balance-manner some of our northern elites got (and still getting) into the security agencies. Yes he contested in the 2003,2007, and 2011 election, it doesn't matter how long Tony has been stealing, the day he's caught, he should be treated as a thief. Anyone or country that legalise illegality has no integrity. and anyone without integrity can not and should not be given position of trust. |
Slizbeat: Oga Kwankwaso.....have you being able to curb the menace in your household where your father was attacked??Well said my fellow Nigerian!! |
reindeer: I may not be a Jonathan fan but this is definitely a step in the right direction.I honestly appreciate your comment. This is what a call 'Conscientious critic'. GEJ may not be getting it right a lot of times or in many ways, but at whatever point or area he gets it right, He should be given the credit. Afterall, the many problems he is dealing with today either inherited from past administration or inflicted by those who are falling out of power and want to get in/relevant. |
drmichael17: Utter nonsense and complete bunkum! JONATHAN SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO NIGERIANS FIRST FOR BEING DISHONEST,CORRUPT AND REMAINING IRREVERSIBLY CLUELESS...good ppl of Nigeria we ought to ask Jonathan what Al mustapha is doing in North Korea presently?1= How can you say GEJ is corrupt -- Where did you hear or has it been proven that he stole unlike the other loud mouthed and unprincipled and [ill] indisciplined APC/PDP politicians ? 2= How can you say GEJ is clueless-- Did it occur to you that Nigerians celebrated and still celebrating this season without federal workers not been owed due salaries and almost no queue at petrol stations? 3= What about Al mustapha been in the North Korea, As a free citizen of Nigeria can't travel anywhere he so choose to like every other citizens? 4= How is GEJ dishonest and clueless? Have you stopped to think how and why the very persons that plunged pdp into the mess it is are fighting him? or past leaders are pulling strings to force him out of office? or The other parties screeming corruption ontop of their voices if not for the simple truth that he has signaled that it can't be business as usual? 5= Has it ever entered your thinking that, running a state and running a country is not in any way related or equal? 6= Has any opposition party or opposing politician in criticizing GEJ's administration said how/what they or he would have done differently ? [which is attitude of well meaning politicians]. 7= What laws or workable bills have defecting members of Reps or Senate deliberated upon for the better governing of the Nigerian State? 8= Out of all the problems Nigeria and Nigerians are suffering today, which one started with GEJ's administration? I will stop but i've not finished. Thank you. |
gabbytabby: When I started two 3 bedroom flat at Ajah (1 up 1 down) and I stated all I wanted to be fitted, I was given quotes of between 15m to 18m to complete. I have done it to complete with 8m. |
asha 80: why is work slow on onitsha enugu expressway?Follow the procedure and ask the minister through the mail address given. |
Donmams: I just feel sorry for the paid PDP apologists on Nairaland. Unfortunately their paymasters keep making it difficult for them to defend the actions of a corrupt federal gov't and not look foolish. The fact is 2015 just can't come soon enough.Tell me which APC controlled state that is even 20percent free of corruption or right abuse of office? |
It is very clear to me that this arrest is what is keeping or holding back many from decamping from PDP to APC, which of course is one of the many possible tools a threatened incumbent govt will resort to; Just like Obj did during his time in Aso Rock. but here is my thinking: If like the general stories of corruption making around is any thing to go by, Let the illegally collected State or federal monies be recovered from those whom it can be recovered from while more time is taken and ways sorted on how to get to the {acclaimed} high and mighty. |
Do Nigerian politicians have dignity and principles? |
I don't think the House Speaker is on track for some obvious reasons; 1- A ranking office holder like he is should not be disclosing information as this to the public. except he is saying he is incapable of been 'The House Speaker' 2- If this report is anything to go with,he should bring it up in the inner caucus meeting between the House/Senate and Presidency.not the public who, hearing will only worsen their already bad condition or confuse the gullible Nigerian public. 3- It will be total destruction for the President and Nigeria if every committee recommendations are approved hook-line and sinker. bearing in mind that there is every tendency for to have tribal or political under-tone, hence, the constitution allows him [the president] to use his descretion. 4-Nigeria as she is today can not say she is corruption free;from the President to the least government official. so if this is true as it is true, why single out one person in the midst of many? [i smell rat]. 5-Rather than spend tax payers money over-sight functions, i would rather they [The House members/speaker] spend same time amend [where necessary] or make newer but more stringent laws for to run the affairs of every arm of government. |
I really don't see why or how ACN or other party for that matter should bother or complain about what/how the PDP handle their in-house affairs; except the Governor in question is playing double-standard,and if playing double standard is the case, the party [PDP] knows what to do and they are justified!! |
