eaglechild: You say 200 million every month is "just". That amounts to 2. 4 billion per annum.
Well let me tell you what smarter states did with theirs.
They purchased patrol vehicles and communication gadgets for their state police force which served as a great incentive for them to fight crime. 200 million can get 50 Kia Rio cars (using Enugu as an example) which can be stationed permanently at various outposts in the state.
That way you reduce unnecessary recurrent expenditure and conserve money for capital projects which are also a source of employment. Trash. Go and get yourself informed about Osun State. So, Osun State Government didn't buy patrol vehicles for police? You never heard SAS and ROBOT launched simultaneously in Osun State? You never heard about Osun State Government partnering with banks to empower drivers with new vehicles for their commercial activities? If you could refer to that payment of stipend as wastefulness, that means you don't understand anything about governance. |

Obiagelli: I still think a serious government will discard mentality and streamline his payload. I read SMALL osun has on of the largest civil service in the country an this was done by aregbesola himself with the numerous Oyes Well, what you read was inaccurate. If you want to know the states that have largest civil servants, go to the Niger Delta states, you will be shocked. Secondly, on the issue of OYES, your argument doesn't add up. This first set of OYES was 18,000 on the stipend of N10,000 =N180,000,000 monthly from February 2011 to January 2013 (he claimed that he was using security votes to do that) and were all laid off. Not that they were absorbed into the civil service. The second batch, 2013 to 2015 were not even up to 12,000 in total and they are still being owed up to 10 months arrears. Thirdly, he only retained few of the second batch to continue after their two years since he couldn't recruit another set and he didn't want people to tag the programme as failure. |

Jonathan is a clown. He had no balls. Gave too much responsibilities and power to his ministers. Refused to acknowledge corruption as our problem that needed serious and immediate attention. Gave everyone in his cabinet free will to loot as a result of his constant below expectation speeches like "I don't give a damn", "Stealing is not Corruption". He even said that he too was confused concerning Sanusi allegation of missing $20 billion instead of raising team to look into the allegation. 100 percent of the committee recommendations during his term in office are in dustbin, not a single one implemented. I still remember the price of petrol per litre before he left. How the entire economy was grounded between March and May 29. Okonjo would tell us economy was in good shape today, tomorrow she would say economy was in bad shape. Naira depreciated greatly within the period of his ruling. The managers of economy that were still borrowing in time high oil price in the international market but resorted to borrowing money to pay salaries of workers at the twilight of their administration. Best economic team indeed. |

If one has this app on one's phone and know its functions well enough, it may save one from installing many other utility apps because it can do their jobs effectively. Shall I begin listing its functions one after the other may be you will see the need to get one and pay more attention to it? It is free, I mean the app. Cheers Coming back to update........... |

ykalhaji: Either majority of the folks commenting on this forum are not Yorubas or the omo Odua commenting thrash about what Odumakin said are idiots cum Yoruba bastards. The Ooni is a symbol, it is not judged on who wears the crown, yes Ooni Sijuade made some unpalatable choices during his reign, but the funeral service of an Ooni is a symbolic activity to present a strong front for the children of Odua, the governors choosing to play politics with it will help them in the short term but it will hurt all Omo Odua in the future, if you don't respect the father of all Yoruba's how do you expect an outsider to respect you or your people ? Abiola that we are shouting that his mandate was disqualified and aided by the Ooni, was also part and parcel of the political coup that denied Awolowo(who single handedly helped Sijuade become the Ooni) and all successful military coup from the one that ousted Shagari to even Abacha(the one that bit him in the ass)'s coup. So people that want to say stories should please do their research well start such stories from the beginning. And to let all yoruba's out there if your name is a Yoruba name even if you are the most senior of all pastors or Imams of Imam in as much as people address you by your name and it was given to you by your parents, the Ooni the guardian of the culture and tradition is our father, no matter who or what occupies the throne. Stop names calling. Show us that your parents raised you properly. Or was iit inherited, I mean the names calling? |

Whatever u sow u must reap. If u think u can paint somebody black and go free. Nemesis awaits u. You don't need to pity here. We've been having democracy since 1999 and smooth transitions as well without any need for peace committee. And if you truly believed that they did this country a great service, we thank them sincerely. But they needed to be reminded that election and transition has come and gone, they should simply retire to their various homes instead of trying to blackmail our president by issuing subtle threats. And, nemesis awaits you and your likes who want thieves to go scot-free because all of you are nothing but enemies of Nigeria. |
