I’m dragging the issue with support ..like having 70 percent acceptance rate to beating down my score to 38 under 2 days cause I avoided some ridiculous trip which I have always done so in the past, worst still 9 min which I normally get as out of radius for a trip now shows as normal trip and I don’t take way too long pick up distance ..each miss one point goes down which doesn’t make sense ..think I might just go back to Uber and Indrive for now ..
It's as if you don't understand their dubious ways yet. When your set radius is 2km, you can get request from over 10km away in linear distance. This is why using radius to determine pick up distance is ridiculous.
For example, you could be on one side of an expressway and a request is coming from the other side, and if you measure your own location to the point of origin of the request in straight line and is within 2km—even though you can't get there driving in straight line, that stupid 'out of radius' banner will not appear. It doesn't matter if you have to drive 20km or even 100km, it won't appear.
They make it seem as if driving whatever distance within the set 2km radius takes the same quantity of fuel. Werey people.

Bolts keeps beating down my acceptance rate cause of some far trips out of my radius I refused to pick not it seems so deliberate, taking one points for every ignored trip ..points I worked so hard before just get taken away so easily by them ..This apps think we are slaves to their business or what ..pffft
They reverted to using radius from linear distance without informing their drivers of the new development. Immediately I noticed this, I cursed their father. I rained so much expletives and invectives on them thinking the bloody dodos would block me, as I was already gradually moving my ministry on to the Uber platform, wallahi na shalaye dem just dey do for me. Bunch of clowns.

Once I'm fully back in ride-hailing again, I'm ubering all the way.

I almost accept any amount as long as it's a very short pick up and/or the drop off is to an area where I'll most likely get another request asap.
This is all that matters in this business. When I see drivers spouting all sorta gratuitous strategies they adopt/deploy I just shake my head at such level of overthinking and ridiculous calculations. It's not as though ride-hailing is rocket science or something requiring high level of intelligence.

In fact , the very first time I grossed over 90k most of my trips that day were less than 3.5k naira. I still remember that day because the prices stood out for me. Another important factor was the fact that there was practically no waiting after arriving for the pick-ups. The riders were either waiting for me or just exiting their buildings when I arrived.

When the time to pickup point is more than 2 mins, Baba, I no dey go. Except, of course, na big money and I'm sure I'd get a trip within 30 mins of arriving at the destination.

Like the old folks, this new set of drivers are also millionaire...Uber drivers are really making it in Nig right now..Nothing dey affect them!
But who are those people dancing skelewu in Alausa? Those drivers rushing to install CNG, maybe they don't need it after all so far you can still net 50k a day!
50k * 30 = 1,500,000
Drivers are earning even more than CFO and CTO of most companies sef.
You made about 100k driving in a day, yet the fuel gauge of ur Camry muscle SLIGHTLY drop from "F".

I am sure 90% of our population would love to go back to the 1970s when one naira was one dollar and bread cost 50kobo

In fact we could have been on our way to a much better economy than under GEJ right now if APC in 2015 started the process of diversified economy, industrialisation and subsidy removal on power and petrol back then.

That they didn't is why they are useless

GEJ economy was based on high oil prices and the fact that our debt being forgiven in 2006 meant that most of the oil revenue could be poured into subsidies. Until the high price of oil drove subsidy costs to levels that were economically unstable

Also the good times under GEJ stifled domestic industries. High oil prices means more forex to use in importing which means problems down the road. Industries close down and unemployment increases.

And when the oil prices crash borrowing commences to keep up appearances. Already happening under GEJ as at September 2014.
I understand all you're saying. But why is it that when the supposed high price of fuel falls only the masses bear the brunt while the leaders continue to live at their usual elite level? And you have never ever given us any reason why this should be case.

I believe this because it was bolt that made uber to reduce their price, at first they were forming jagaban until bolt came into the picture.
But it has its own disadvantages, they will be feeling like God.
You're right. Bolt started this rubbish when they came into the picture. Uber came with the best standard practice until those daft bolt people arrived and watered it down with their operation.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by AutoTechDoyz(m):
Wallahi, indrive is for losers and low-lifers. How would any self-respecting ride-hailing driver operate on such ridiculously and abysmally low fares set by the platform. And I don't give a bloody hoot whether they use CNG or no. Do you think normal cabbies would reduce their fares because they run CNG-powered vehicles? Little wonder they turn beggarly when repair issues pop up.

After the skyrocketing of fuel price, I say oya o make I dump the high-handedness of bolt for the laxity and freedom-friendliness of the much touted indrive. However, no sooner had I logged in to the app than I was confronted with pathetic , ego-shattering fares. Worse still, the upper limits of the preset offers a driver could make nausea-inducing.

Take an airport trip in Abuja on bolt for instance, it's 18+ from virtually everywhere to the airport. And if it's a comfort ride you get it around 21k. Same trip on indrive, regardless of the category, I see daft drivers all scrounging for it at around 10k, a pittance. I was shocked; I'd never seen that level absurdity since my foray into the hustle. Even regular trips are not left out. Trips of 7k5 on bolt are being done for 5k max.SMH cry
I have seen very few meaningful trip requests so far. If I were to rely on those I'd be completing 1 or maybe 2 trips daily. So far, after 4 days I have been able to complete 7 trips on indrive at around the same prices on bolt, on average.

I do, however, have to give them kundus for the simplicity of their app. I love the GUI, and it's seamless integration with android.
Perhaps it's high time I returned slaving for bolt again because right now, ehn, I'm terribly fagged out. Abi wetin man go do?

Lol... See entitlement mentality.
I repeat again, NOBODY OWES YOU ANYTHING.

Being communal and being a burden are two very distinct things. Communal means everyone is contributing, being a burden means only one party is contributing while the other only consumes. And let's even assume we go by your logic, where do you draw the line? When does the giver get tired?

There's nothing foreign about not encouraging freeloaders. A community can't grow when the majority are lazying around expecting others to carry their weight. That's not how a community works, that's abuse of privileges.

Little wonder social media is filled with beggars who believe it's their right to collect. It's because of warped mentalities like this. Being African does not mean you should be a burden onto others and them indulging you. That only destroys the community and gives birth to spoilt, entitled brats.
Your post here shows some nuances, which I find acceptable enough. But nobody talks about someone freeloading or being a burden here; that's an entirely different issue. You initial post glorifies selfishness and irresponsibility. These 2 traits if widely adopted would lead to a cataclysmic future as they are impractical and unsustainable in the long term.
I reiterate: because Hollywood espouses such mindset or you hear redpillers bandy those words around does make it logical. It's all social engineering!
To coin a phrase: we rise by lifting others

You don't see them as your cousins because they don't want a freeloader? Lol.

As if they don't have their own issues to deal with. Whether you accept or not, you're a burden on them. No one owes you anything, not even your parents.
Stop regurgitating foreign crap. This is why Nigeria is developing in reverse. We always copy what's alien to our nature, and usually the bad ones.
We're supposed to be a communal people, not selfish and disgustingly individualistic. The fact that the culture of the white people the lot of you worship is predisposed to such insidious and destructive way of life does not make it right.

Okay, let's vote for leaders who will take us on the path to industrial growth and development ....you guys would be voting for leaders because they are from your tribe or because you want more oil money.

That;s why you don't have the industrial backbone that would enable phd's to contribute to industrial growith and scientific growth. You don;'t want that type of leader, you want atiku , tinubu and obi.
Can you name examples of such leaders in the polity today!

Hi
MEGAWATCH:
This is nonsense, I don't know why we Africans will always allow foreigners to confuse us as if we don't have an age long tradition.

If someone is beaten by a snake, just do this and everything will calm down:

Give the person an onions to eat,

Then use a charcoal to place on the spot where the snake has beaten the person and watch as the charcoal takes the poison out of the body of the person and after about 20 minutes he will be very fit to go his way.

🙏🙏🙏
Thanks.
How did we lose our way? Pity.

Angelfrost:
Yeah... Henry is right.

Sadly, it's becoming a disturbing trend among striking players these days.

They are more interested in personal glory than team success.

There are things, simple and basic things, a striker should know to do like squaring up the ball for better positioned players in the box.

This is rudimentary football... Just common sense.

Especially when victory is not yet fully secured.

Coaches need to start getting stricter about such things... Any striker that won't change should be disciplined by benching.
Oga, that's what stats obsession is doing to football these days. Football is, and will always be, a team sport. However, all your efforts count for nothing if you don't score, at least, a tap-in. So why criticise those who try to be selfish in a game?
A player can be nowhere in a game for close to 90mins, then by a stroke of luck gets a tap-in and he wins the MOTM award. It's absolutely nauseating!!
