Thanks.

How many days of the week do you work? And how many hours each day?

One more question. Thr car you drive, what's the engine capacity? 1.6? 1.8? 2.4?

Thanks in advance
I work everyday. Mostly 9am to 6:30pm.
I use a 2010 civic. It's 1.8L.

It was nothing.

Thanks. That's what I thought too. You get better with time.
Like everything else you need experience in this hustle. People would say is it not just driving to pick up, and drop off riders. Yes, it is, but you need to know what constitutes a good trip. Get in touch with Pearl and Cheerfulgiver for mentoring.
Since I have been back on the road I make 30k+ daily except last Sunday, when I did 27 or 28k. As I stated earlier, those figures come with experience.
Also, I'd advise you stick to Uber if you can make 8-10 trips daily, as it's beginner-friendly, until you get a hang of the hustle and know the lay of the land.
Good luck.

I think this should be directed to him coz i simply asked him which EV car cost $7k, did you see his response?

Additionally, I'm not dismissing any claim, but it just doesn't sit well to use EV for commercial use at its early stage of invention, remember, money isn't easy to come by, imagine buying something of 12m just because someone speculated its sustainable and in the long run, it is not. will you get your money back?
Oga, EV was invented long before ICE. So, it's not a new invention.

It's a full Sedan Car not those choco milo cubes
Parts availability: This particular car is common in Nigeria already. Changan is already in the market, they are everywhere already in Lagos. U must have seen it. It's has a "V" logo. So all the parts are available.
Repairs: So all the suspension and body parts are available either in open market or in their dealerships across the country. They are the same setup with the regular vehicles, so ur regular mechanic can fix it.
On the electric motor, nothing will happen to it except it's accidented very badly. The only thing u will change around 10 year mark is the EV battery.
Battery Durability: 10-15years so for a 2020 car with less than 400km on it, u still have at least 10 years on the batteries.
Replacement cost: these are not American or European cars. The Changan batteries cost around $2k (N3m). And the prices are reducing cos the technology is no longer pioneer. So by the time u will need a replacement, it will not be as expensive.
Practical case; the hybrid batteries for Prius and Muscle used to be around 1m to 1.5m but now its less than 500k.
Rugged for ehailing: this one doesn't have ur regular engine that will die if stressed out too much. This is plug and go. Provided u have juice in ur battery the car is good to go.
Durability: So far Lagride has used GAC for 3 years and those cars are still standing, then we can say quality Chinese cars are durable too.
I am sure by the looks of Changan u wouldn't even know Changan is Chinese except for the name.
Battery range: a full battery can carry you 300miles/450km. Normal house charging will charge it back to full bar in 6hours.
Fast charging will recharge in 1hr.
Fast charging system installation is 250k.

These are my findings so far
Interesting. Seems you've done your due diligence on this.
I hope they come with repair manuals because if I eventually get an EV , I'm certainly doing the repairs myself. I won't leave it at the mercy of the incompetent buffoons who call themselves mechanics in this town.

Pearl1910:
Everyday we replay the same mistakes companies like Kodak, Nokia, IBM, Motorola, Blackberry, 2go, Yahoo messenger etc made.
They all failed to adapt to prevailing changes. If u are adverse to change the world will leave u behind.
- U must be constantly looking for avenues to remain afloat in ur business.
- U must continually search for ways to deliver your product/services the way the customer wants it.
- U must look at your environment and design your business plan to model the reality around you not an utopian one.
- U must look at the future and anticipate how the market will change and position yourself to adapt to it. If u can't see the future, u must be flexible enough to quickly adopt the change.

If u fail to do all this, be ready to be relegated to d background and further into obscurity.

Ehailing is undergoing a major shift right now, and except you are doing it part time. Full-time drivers must begin to think fuel saving vehicles, Hybrids, EVs. U are using 2.4 litre engine and above, drop it and go and collect Moove or find a 1.2-1.6 litre engine and buy or take up as rental or HP.

As I speak, I am currently looking for a small car that I fancy, a hybrid car or going for an EV with minimum range of 300miles.
1.8litre engines like Corolla, Elantra and Civic are just scratching the borders of profitability these days. Take ur destiny in your hands and change what is within ur control, stop worrying about what u can't change.
I have given a thought to this, not seriously though.
One thing is certain, I'm not gonna convert my car to CNG. And if I'm getting another car for ehailing it's got to be a hybrid at the very least.

I've found myself using the bolded route lately just kind of farther and slower but it's worth it sha. Hopefully, our government will find a solution to that trap of a road.
Funnily enough, I've never seen any form of accident there before sha. Much respect, sir.
Importance of use of turn signals l, side view mirror, and patience at such delicate turns cannot be overemphasized.. There's no way you'd not find yourself at such turns if you were ehailing in Abuja. There are a whole bunch of them on the expressways here.
Just slow down and exercise patience. And no allowance dem scare you with horns o.

Why is it that my car drives great when I'm doing bolt for weeks or months on end bar suspension issues due to horrible roads? But when I only have to drive 5mins max from home to site and back in the evening for a few weeks, It doesn't drive as smooth.

Since I don dey follow ehailing matter whether off or online, the fucking drivers always say stuff like, there's no money in it again, the prices are low these days, we can't break even again, bleh, bleh, bleh. Yet dem no go leave the work go do better things.
I was out of ehailing for several months, and with the doom and gloom being portrayed of the hustle by these drivers, omo, I lost hope. But thank God for Cheerfulgiver and Pearl1910, a few others here for their positive outlooks.
Whenever I read Cheerfulgiver’s aggressive and disdainful comments to the naysayers I'd have tears streaming down my cheeks from laughter and be simultaneously spurred on to hit the road and make some money.
Yes, I knew these guys were doing their things in the ehailing hub of the country but also believed Abuja couldn't have become so bad for ehailing within the same period, as the last time I was on the road before my long lay off I made almost 600k in just over 3 weeks. when I finally hit the road again last November, I made 350k plus in about 10 days. And I came to the conclusion then that most bolt drivers are full of shiit.
So if you have a working car, oga, don't even seek advice from any stupid driver, just hit the road for a few weeks and see what you can achieve.
Also, Bolt agents here should let their people know that reducing prices without informing the drivers is tantamount to criminality. I go still halla for them before I enter road again sha.

PHEEEMMMY:
Hello everyone, I need your honest advice.

I’m 39, currently working as a manager at a private cleaning company (the company cleans banks etc), but the pay is bad—₦100K per month for a master’s holder. I work Monday till Saturday and I barely have any time for any other thing. The job is killing me. I’ve decided it’s time to do something for myself, and I’m looking at joining the ride-hailing business (Uber, Bolt, Indrive, Taxify) in Lagos.

I plan to buy a car in the ₦3M-₦4M range with money from friends and family. But before I take that step, I want to hear from you, the experts. If I were your brother, what would you honestly tell me?

-Is this a smart move?
-What kind of car should I go for in this budget?
-What are the biggest challenges I should expect?
-Can I make decent money, or is it just stress?

I respect your experience, so I want to hear the truth—good or bad. Thanks in advance for your advice!
100k for a monthly salary is rubbish. On a very good week here in Abuja I net that in 3 days.
What's most important is that you get yourself a very sound car. Take your time, and do your due diligence. This, my friend, cannot be emphasised enough. And when you go to inspect a car make certain you've got a scanner with you, even if it's elm with one of those free car scanning apps on playstore.
It's gonna take a while to make the kind of profits our oga at the top here grin make as you'd still have to learn by yourself what constitues a bad or good trip. Not matter what, you're still gonna make money from the get-go.
As far as the downside is concerned, for me, it's the vaginal cretins. Most of whom would almost always disrespect you. But when you remember you make in a week what most of them make in a month you go just laugh for their ugly and overly made-up faces.
With that said, still, do not be prejudiced against them as a handful of them can be so wonderful that you'd wish you were their man. It's happened to me a few times, but I don't mix business with pleasure. For now! cheesy
So my guy, get a sound car, valid car documentation, hit the road and start making decent money.
