Tinubu used some PDP cronies like Doyin Okupe and co to persuade Peter Obi to run separately in 2023 to divide PDP votes.

His strategy this time is to use cronies in various political party platforms to create confusion like he is doing through Wike in PDP and also in Labour party.

But the big threat to Tinubu reelection is that the north has seen his anti north tendencies and they are waiting for him come 2027 election.

Buhari did better than what Tinubu is doing presently. Even though I am from the south south, I don't ,ind power going back to the north if that will end the suffering Nigerians have been subjected to under this APC govt.

Atiku and Obi joint ticket for 2027 is the dread of every Tinubu supporter.

Tinubu MUST GO

Tinubu should do his job but don't think this will sway our votes in your favour.

2027 presidential election will be a contest between Tinubu and the north. We from the south south don't mind to work with north to remove the clueless, selfish and tax hungry man from Aso rock.

All these are propaganda to make the next presidential election look like north versus south but it won't work. If the north decides to cut ties with north then the south west should be ready to walk alone because there is no southern unity anywhere.

Recall that in 2015 the north used south west as a tool to wrest power from Goodluck Jonathan who is from the south south.

When the North rise up against Yoruba they will quickly want to invoke southern unity but they will always work against other parts of the south for their selfish regional interest.

The south west should carry their cross alone and leave south south and south east out of their dog fight with the north.

1. Specific VAT increase on a few items
2. Remove VAT on most basic consumptions (about 80% of goods and services)
3. Businesses can claim tax credit for VAT paid on all their costs.

The timing is wrong just like some other policies of the Tinubu administration such as removal of fuel subsidy and floating of the naira.

1. The economy is already in hyperinflation as a result of fuel subsidy removal and floating of the naira
2. Increased VAT under Buhari made Nigerians poorer but we were better off then than under Tinubu administration.
3. Any increase in VAT will be transferred to the final consumer and will definitely make Nigerians poorer.
4. The reform in the bill will make few states take a larger chunk of the VAT proceeds leaving under states at a disadvantage.
5. Senator Uzor Kalu pointed out that the FG made a mistake by not first presenting this initiative to the NEC for deliberation
6. The haste to quickly pass the bill raises suspicion
7. There are a lot of ambiguity in the bill that needs to be clarified
8. Despite savings from subsidy removal, this govt keeps taking loans from foreign institutions to fund the budget

Tinubu is just dancing cluelessly to foreign manipulations to destroy the economy just like what IBB did.

Let the south south call for full oil resource control law reform and you will see how the Yorubas will join hands with the north to frustrate it.

If the Niger delta s start asking for full resource control of their oil, this same hypocrites pushing for tax reform that seems to be in their interest will connive with the north to work against it.

They want to eat their resources alone but share from the resources of others.

This was how they opposed Goodluck Jonathan from removing fuel subsidy only to applaud it under Tinubu.

The national assembly should be pushing for resource control by states but south west won't push for it because they still want to be feeding fat from Niger delta oil.

When the British were leaving; they gave the North political power and the South economic power. The SW and SS wields the economic power. Reason why BAT insisted that the number 3 position should go to SS. This is simple politics. And for you to have political power you have to align with the North. This is simple politics.

Yorubas have been surviving and doing well in businesses when your fore fathers were still walking naked in villages. WNTV Ibadan, Cocoa house and some other businesses in SW were built without oil money. Cocoa and oil palm money is still in SW.

The Yorubas can never be trusted. They have been working with the north to undermine development of other regions. They have done this to the south south, south east, and now they are working against their long time ally - the north.

Even if the tax bill is passed I expect states to ban any product whose headquarters is not in their state from moving goods to that state. For any company to operate in Delta state it's HQ must be moved to Delta state.
