Tinubu used some PDP cronies like Doyin Okupe and co to persuade Peter Obi to run separately in 2023 to divide PDP votes. His strategy this time is to use cronies in various political party platforms to create confusion like he is doing through Wike in PDP and also in Labour party. But the big threat to Tinubu reelection is that the north has seen his anti north tendencies and they are waiting for him come 2027 election. |
Buhari did better than what Tinubu is doing presently. Even though I am from the south south, I don't ,ind power going back to the north if that will end the suffering Nigerians have been subjected to under this APC govt. |
Atiku and Obi joint ticket for 2027 is the dread of every Tinubu supporter. Tinubu MUST GO |
Tinubu should do his job but don't think this will sway our votes in your favour. |
2027 presidential election will be a contest between Tinubu and the north. We from the south south don't mind to work with north to remove the clueless, selfish and tax hungry man from Aso rock. |
All these are propaganda to make the next presidential election look like north versus south but it won't work. If the north decides to cut ties with north then the south west should be ready to walk alone because there is no southern unity anywhere. Recall that in 2015 the north used south west as a tool to wrest power from Goodluck Jonathan who is from the south south. |
When the North rise up against Yoruba they will quickly want to invoke southern unity but they will always work against other parts of the south for their selfish regional interest. The south west should carry their cross alone and leave south south and south east out of their dog fight with the north. Yorubas should never be trusted |
This man is only trying to justify the move by this govt to increase VAT from 7.5% to 15%. With the bogus fuel subsidy removal savings FG only increased minimum wage to a paltry 70k per month. Trust these liars at your own peril |
chucks185:This is a killer punch from Usyk, Yoruba ronu miscreants won't like this |
Printing of money by CBN continues, expect dollars exchange rate to jump to about N2200 to a dollar Where is all the money saved from fuel subsidy removal and floating of the naira? Awon oniranu |
Buharidgeneral:The timing is wrong just like some other policies of the Tinubu administration such as removal of fuel subsidy and floating of the naira. 1. The economy is already in hyperinflation as a result of fuel subsidy removal and floating of the naira 2. Increased VAT under Buhari made Nigerians poorer but we were better off then than under Tinubu administration. 3. Any increase in VAT will be transferred to the final consumer and will definitely make Nigerians poorer. 4. The reform in the bill will make few states take a larger chunk of the VAT proceeds leaving under states at a disadvantage. 5. Senator Uzor Kalu pointed out that the FG made a mistake by not first presenting this initiative to the NEC for deliberation 6. The haste to quickly pass the bill raises suspicion 7. There are a lot of ambiguity in the bill that needs to be clarified 8. Despite savings from subsidy removal, this govt keeps taking loans from foreign institutions to fund the budget Tinubu is just dancing cluelessly to foreign manipulations to destroy the economy just like what IBB did. |
Let the south south call for full oil resource control law reform and you will see how the Yorubas will join hands with the north to frustrate it. |
APC Yorubas Tinubu FG Trust the above at your own peril |
If the Niger delta s start asking for full resource control of their oil, this same hypocrites pushing for tax reform that seems to be in their interest will connive with the north to work against it. They want to eat their resources alone but share from the resources of others. Too bad |
This is how inconsistent and hypocritical a typical Yoruba man is, always shifting the goal post to suit his bias. This was how they opposed Goodluck Jonathan from removing fuel subsidy only to applaud it under Tinubu. |
When a Yoruba talks, never take his words at face value because it's always laced with several layers of deceit and treachery. I speak from experience, what they say is different from what they mean. |
Sleekfingers:The discussion should be centred around resource control by states because the whole of Nigeria is feeding fat from oil revenue from Niger delta region. |
Tinubu may have his way with the tax reform bill but the north will have it's say come 2027 presidential election |
The national assembly should be pushing for resource control by states but south west won't push for it because they still want to be feeding fat from Niger delta oil. |
Magnumproperty:Who dash SW economic power. Do you know how much of oil money have been generated from the Niger delta region which the 36 governors have been depending on to run their respective states. How many south west states are economically bouyant. The other day a Chinese firm was about to take over some assets because of debt owed by pgun state. |
Is that why Tinubu is putting his Lagos boys in all positions available when there is federal character policy? Selfish Amala and ewedu people |
Magnumproperty:So why are you guys not clamouring for resource control by each state, let's see the region that will suffer the most |
Meti99:Yorubas betrayed south south region to remove Goodluck Jonathan and now they are shouting southern unity to fight the north. Afonjas in spirit, soul and body. |
ibtommy:Empty noise. |
Tinubu appointed Bianca Ojukwu as minister to gain igbos support. Whether he appoints 1000 Bianca, the igbos will never support Tinubu reelection. He should not also expect Niger delta or the north to support him. Let's see how only south west votes will give him victory |
Zooposki:How many Yoruba state can survive without oil money and functional sea ports in other regions? It's becoming very clear that Yorubas are the real problem of Nigeria. |
Oshin56:So you will use Niger oil money to develop your state and then claim VAT generated from your state to yourself. Does this sound fair to you? |
Factcheck0001:The Yorubas can never be trusted. They have been working with the north to undermine development of other regions. They have done this to the south south, south east, and now they are working against their long time ally - the north. |
Even if the tax bill is passed I expect states to ban any product whose headquarters is not in their state from moving goods to that state. For any company to operate in Delta state it's HQ must be moved to Delta state. Yorubas are too manipulative, selfish and hypocritical |
Oshin56:Yorubas are the ones pushing for the tax reform just because Lagos will get the largest share. So I expect them to also clamour for resource control so we Niger deltas won't be using our resources to finance and sustain the entire country. Tinubu is collecting loans with our Niger delta oil |
I wish the north conspire to oust Tinubu the same the Yoruba conspired with the north to remove president Goodluck Jonathan from office |
Oshin56:Why is the Yoruba nation not clamouring for resource control so we Niger delta can have all the oil proceeds to ourselves? You guys in the south west are too selfish and hypocritical |
