The mention of Peter Obi again and again is to bloat his image and make him refuse to run as a vice to Atiku. Peter Obi needs to run as vice to Atiku for a one term agreement. |
Is this mid average journalist saying Burkinafaso doesn't have the right to choose their foreign ally? Why is Omotseye pained that the whole of Africa singing the praise of a young visionary leader of small black country, a praise that was supposed to go to the president of the biggest black nation in Africa. Alas! I see his pain, Traore is stealing the shine and recognition that Tinubu should have. |
because Tinubu is an ally with president Macron of France, this dull journalist expect every other person to align. Burkinafaso isn't battling insecurity, hunger and inflation which is the current malady created by the clueless president ever in the history of Nigeria on whose payroll you survive |
Don't fall for this scam, UN agencies will never require you to take a paid course such as QREDIV as a pre-condition for recruitment. Be vigilant Don't be scammed |
biafranrealson:This is a common sense that is uncommon to APC miscreants who think with Ankara material empowerment program they can buy everyone in Nigeria. This govt is a mistake that needs to be corrected in 2027. |
There is freedom of association and freedom of disassociation. A simple walkout is different from disruption of the event. You can't buy everyone, some people still have honour that can't be bought |
His initial outburst and new position is all for his selfish interest. If he gets his slice of national cake today, he will still return on national TV and shamelessly defend this same government. There are very few patriots left in our political landscape who fights less for self and more for the ordinary Nigerians. |
He wants to project Peter Obi as a good candidate in 2027 but it's all a game plan to favour Tinubu. Somethings are not actually the way we see them. |
We have to choose between having a tribal champion or a trusted and honest national leader. People can celebrate Tinubu's accendancy to seat of power but it doesn't change the fact that the electoral process that produced him was largely flawed The big issue today is not about the political acumen of the man in power but it's about how well he has managed the welfare of the people, the economy, upheld democratic principles and promoted national cohesion and inclusiveness. Can the writer tell us that he is proud of the imposition of Sole Administrator in Rivers state? Or the hijack of the judiciary by the executive arm. We don't need intelligent politicians but visionary leaders that can restore the dignity of Nigerians and faith in Nigeria. |
Buba Marwa, a non indigene as the military administrator of Lagos performed far better than most other yoruba governors in the state. I think the bill will promote unity. Tinubu isn't even a Lagosian but contributed to Lagos development. So what's wrong in giving non indigene the right to aspire and contest for any political position? |
Why is it that it's only Yorubas that are complaining about this bill? And why are they insulting the Igbos because of a bill meant to give everyone equal right? |
flokii:Vile words or opposition against a person's political aspirations because he is not an indigene won't stand so long the constitution gives such non indigene the right to contest for any position. Just like Rhodes Vivour was insulted and demonised because his mother is non indigene is a shameless act that divides us than unite us. |
The likes of Tinubu and Sanwo Olu from the information at my disposal are not originally indigene of Lagos state but we can't deny that they have contributed positively to the development of the state. Political rights shouldn't be confused with traditional rights. If we truly believe in unity and equity, this bill will help create cohesion than confusion. |
It's very myopic if anyone thinks this bill is targeted on a particular state or region. There are some people who were born and have have lived all their lives in a region or state outside their state of origin. They have maintained a noble life and contributed to the development of the state. They should be free to contest political position at all levels in the state such as governor, senate, HoR, state house of assembly etc without discrimination. |
The bill has good intentions and should be modified to give resident rights to contest for political positions in the state so long they have maintained a good record and have contributed to the development of the state The likes of Barrack Obama, Kemi Badenoch, Rishi Sunak etc rose to high political positions and contributed their quota to development despite being settlers or children of settlers. However, these rights shouldn't extend to traditional positions. |
The bill is good and should give people who have resided in a state for 10 years the right to contest any political positions in the state. After all, such a resident have been paying taxes to the state and contributing to the development of the state. |
All the huge IGR is not even felt, entering the pockets of the greedy gangs of Lagos politicians |
Xannadu:Yorubas hate been criticised but they are experts in criticising others. Is Lagos not smelly? |
Why is the impeached Obasa still parading himself as the speaker of Lagos house of assembly seeing almost all the lawmakers have rejected him? |
Don't mind this polities, they are both working for the victory of APC come 2027 presidential election. 2031 alignment will reward Nasir El Rufai with presidential ticket and Nyesone Wike with vice presidential slot if they help Tinubu get re-elected. It's all a game |
El Rufai is playing the same game Tinubu used Daniel Bwala, Doyin Okupe and others to win 2023 presidential election. Tinubu has an agreement to handover to El Rufai after he completes his 8 year tenure. El Rufai rejection for ministerial position is just a part of the plot to confuse the public. The plan is simple, divide northern votes between PDP, SDP, NNPP, LP and this will mean easy win for Tinubu. |
I think Tinubu is playing the same game again with El Rufai. The rejection of El-rufai for ministerial position looks more like a game plan against 2027 for Tinubu's re-election and afterwards handover to El-rufai. I won't be surprised if Tinubu supports El-rufai/Wike joint ticket in 2031 |
Who is the authentic speaker of Lagos state house of assembly? |
This evil policy deserves our response through a strike action or possibly a protest. They can't continue taking us for a ride. This policy only favours the banks and govt, no one is talking about the impact on poor Nigerians. APshit came to steal, kill and destroy. |
Yorubas are leftist by nature and satanic by trait, devilish by occupation, traitors by character and hypocritacally sentimental. |
Lagos has the highest internally generated revenue in Nigeria, but can't boast of pipe borne water. They simply generate to loot. ![]() |
Lagos has the highest internally generated revenue in Nigeria, but can't boast of pipe borne water. They simply generate to loot. |
They should also tell us the growth rate of our domestic and foreign debt profile in the same period. Mediocres in power deceiving those that love to be deceived |
Tinubu loves to see high revenue growth even if it means Nigerians paying through their nose and starving to death is of no concern to him. Real economic development is not measured by growrh in govt revenue but growth in business and low inflation and interest rate. Tinubu is more concerned about revenue accruable to his base in Lagos. |
The next agenda should be full resource control by each state. Or the deprivation percentage for oil producing state should be increased to 20%. But the greed and selfishness of Tpain won't make him talk in this direction because Lagos is not an oil producing state. |
El rufai is still working for Tinubu. His disqualification from being a minister is part of a game plan. El rufai is to run as presidential candidate of SSP to frustrate Atiku's chances at the 2027 poll. El rufai will return back to APC and likely be Tinubu's successor. Reno Omokri and Segun Sowunmi who are ardent Atiku supporters are presently throwing subtle jibes and attack on Atiku. The politics of 2027 is already in full gear. |
Tinubu has activated another game plan to make Peter Obi look bigger to lure him to run independently so that APC can secure easy victory. The greatest threat to Tinubu re-election is Peter Obi running as vice presidential candidate to Atiku. |
