PoliticsRe: Fashola, Obi Disagree On Geo-political Zones, Constitutional Amendment by Awake9ja(m): 3:06am On Oct 19, 2012
the topic of the post is wrong and deceiving.

let it be something like " elites disagree in constitution amendment "

because fashola and obi are not the only people in the meeting. otherwise the poster wants to play yoruba fight again here.

but on my own veiw fashola was wrong. the constitution that give a acceptance to sharia and did not permit other religous commandment has to be changed.

in a country that i am a citizen which does not prohibit selling and drinking of alchohol why should somebody say that i should nof sell it or destroys my comodity and still have constitutional backing.

men we need amendments in that constitution.
PoliticsRe: Constitution Review: I'll Abide By What Nigerians Want - Jonathan by Awake9ja(m):
Value change more important for law and order-Fashola

Setting the tone for the discussions, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, who noted his disagreement that constitution amendment was sine qua non to development, stressed that value change was more important for law and order, economic, political, social development than constitution amendment.

Fashola said: "What is under consideration is whether a constitution amendment is really what we want. What lies at the heart of the clamour is the desire for a better life, not really a better document. Nigerians want to pay school fees, feed themselves and work. The Constitution is just an agreement on how we relate to one another.

"Its effectiveness depends on our sincerity to honour agreement. We don't have electoral malpractices, because the constitution is bad; our roads are bad for motorists not because the constitution is bad. The crash of the stock exchange isn't because the constitution is bad. Those things that frustrate our people cannot be put at the doorstep of the Constitution. They lie in our diminishing values."
1) the constitution is faulty mr.fashola. if it is right why are south west looking for regional integration?
2) if the constitution is right why are there provinsion for sharia while other religion is not accorded such previladge.
2) our values diminishes because our constitutiin is faulty.
PoliticsRe: Constitution Review: I'll Abide By What Nigerians Want - Jonathan by Awake9ja(m): 8:32am On Oct 18, 2012
for me fasholas advice is the worst.

1) how can you get the system working without a guide(constitution).
2 )how do you curtail the excess of greedy people without constitution.
3) how do you encourage patrotism without the constitution.
4) can there be equality and equity without constitution.
6) how can we shun marginalization without constitution.
7) how do u run a state without constitution.
fashola himself is making new laws by the day in lagos.
cool what is sinciarity when there is no yard stick to measure it or determine it.

note; constitution is the first foundation then follows other things.

the ibos should stop whining afterall they cintributed in that mess called war.

but as for the info from that american jornalist, its completely nonsense. when i read the accounts of the war from major players in nigeria side and found out contradiction and differencies then i sense foul play.

i stand by the truth. nigeria use foul play but i can see we use it to end the war soon.

i still dont know why the yorubas are the only tribe defending the war in social media.

let me say it again. my yoruba brothers pleade desist from this becus it has great consequence.
the middle belt the core north which are the major player always keep mute but only you guys always go on and talk too much. or is there any other secret for that.
PoliticsRe: US Documents Support Achebe: Gowon Blocked Food Supplies To Biafra, Shot Down... by Awake9ja(m): 2:51am On Oct 18, 2012
the ibos just need to forget the war bcus costant reminding of it will make us distrust them.

but if they opt for seperate nation once again we will suport them.
PoliticsRe: US Documents Support Achebe: Gowon Blocked Food Supplies To Biafra, Shot Down... by Awake9ja(m): 2:48am On Oct 18, 2012
can you now see a clear info.
i have told yoruba friends to desist from attacking the ibos bcus the war is a nigerian thing not tribal thing.

if am ibo i will get more angry over the yorubas for been only tribe defending the war on discussions whenever the ibos talk about the war.

am a middle beltan and we fought the war much more than any group in nigeria but today our masses are regreting it bcus we now realised ojukwu was right we would have gone our seperate ways then .

some part of us would have join the east while some join the west and few the north.by now fulanis will not be waging a cold war against us.

the ibos got watever the own in our land legitmately with out enraging us. but hausa fulanis never pay fir any land or property in our domain instead they are been willed to them by their bros in power.

PoliticsRe: Soyinka Breaks Silence: BIAFRA (igbos) SUFFERED GENOCIDE During Civil War by Awake9ja(m): 5:00am On Oct 17, 2012
Even as many yorubas are defending it on NL many elderly yorubas are also doing the same on Nigeria daily,

Gowon has Kitts and kins but they choose to keep mute on the subject,

The core north are mentioned in the said book but they keep mute only few commented and cloose the page.

But why are yorubas online everyday and on newspapers everyday repeating the same thing as if they find it alone.

Just a piece of advice
PoliticsRe: Soyinka Breaks Silence: BIAFRA (igbos) SUFFERED GENOCIDE During Civil War by Awake9ja(m): 4:52am On Oct 17, 2012
@ c.fours:
shut up. how is soyinka neutral?check your dictionary for a definition of genocide before throwing words around like you know their meaning.Biafra was a WAR not a genocide.
The problem with we the young Nigeria's is that wd are quick to point fingers and insult people .

Read my comments again and tell me where i said that Soyinka is a neutral person? I said a neutral reporter. What is wrong wit you guys?
Ask yourself why is it that only yorubas always defending the war?

Heed my advice you are doing yourself a harm on this, you don't know tomorrow.
Desist from it pretend as others and lie low you loud mouth .
PoliticsRe: Soyinka Breaks Silence: BIAFRA (igbos) SUFFERED GENOCIDE During Civil War by Awake9ja(m): 4:38am On Oct 17, 2012
Soyinka is a wise man, do you see were he name called anybody? No
Did he knew the truth? Yes
But he says it diplomaticaly .

What is there to defend? We did what we ought to do to defend our unity,
Yes what we did is too bloody but we have learnt our lessons, sorry that some group bears the pain
That is where i approved of sanusi memoir on the need to integrate the ibos among us and let go of this our war mentality.

The danger is, if the ibos become relevant again on the ground play of working it out themself , i pity for any tribe that will venture into breaking away.
The danger of putting your tribe as the front man and the defender of the war is? Automatically you are an enemy of the ibos and one day you will pay for it..

3million is not 300, let my yoruba bros please learn to keep mute on this war like the north does, like England,France and Russia does.
You guys are speaking more than necessary.

I don say my own make i dey go.

Soyinka breaks silence, says BIAFRA (Igbos) SUFFERED GENOCIDE during civil war

By News Express on 16/10/2012Views: 696For weeks, many people have wondered where Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka stands on the accusation of genocide against Igbos by the Nigerian Government during the 1967-70 civil war leveled by Prof. Chinua Achebe in his war memoir, There Was A Country.Well, Soyinka (shown in photo) has finally spoken his mind and, interestingly, he agrees with Achebe that Biafrans, the bulk of whom were Igbos, were victims of genocide during the war. In an interview he granted Britain’s authoritativeTelegraph, the Nobel Prize winner described Biafrans as “people who’d been abused, who’d undergone genocide, and who felt completely rejected by the rest of the community, and therefore decided to break away and form a nation of its own.”In the interview published last Friday, the interviewer Peter Godwin asked: “Professor Soyinka, you’re not an ivory-tower kind of writer. You are not a stranger to danger, and in fact you’ve been imprisoned on at least two occasions, once in solitary confinement. Can you tell me what that was like?”Soyinka’s reply: “Writing in certain environments carries with it an occupational risk. When I was imprisoned, without trial, it was as a result of a position I took as a citizen. Of course I used my weapon, which was writing, to express my disapproval of the (Biafran) civil war into which we were about to enter. These were people who’d been abused, who’d undergone genocide, and who felt completely rejected by the rest of the community, and therefore decided to break away and form a nation of its own. Unfortunately, the nature of my imprisonment meant that I couldn’t practise my trade because I was in solitary confinement for 22 months out of the 27, and I was deprived of writing material. So I had to somehow break through the barriers, smuggle in toilet paper, cigarette paper, scribble a few poems, pass messages outside. I was able to undertake exercises to make sure that I emerged from prison intact mentally.”The interview, which centred of Soyinka’s speech delivered last week at the Hay Festival in Mexico, was entitled “If religion was taken away I’d be happy”. In it, Soyinka condemned religious militancy and declared that now is the time to tackle Boko Haram, the Islamic militants who have been fomenting trouble in Nigeria.News Express recalls that Prof. Achebe in his war memoirs subtitled ‘A Personal History of Biafra’ accused wartime Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gown and his Vice-Chairman and Finance Minister, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, of carrying out genocide against Igbos. The claim has been generating a lot of controversy, with many Yoruba commentators accusing Achebe of twisting history.Source News ExpressPosted 16/10/2012 6:07:28 PM

Even the independent reporter excellently captioned the report as "soyinka breaks silence , says BIAFRA (Igbos) SUFFERED GENOCIDE during civil war"

A neutral person even agree with achebe .

Why is the yorubas carrying this war discussion on their head instead of the north and beltans ?

You guys are making yourself unnecessarily enemy of the ibos.

You guys barely participate in the pogrom and the genocide called war but you are on the front to discuss it as if it's your personal war.
Are you not building a monster around you, even the beltans hardly argue with ibos in this subject.

Look at it this way, if your yoruba brother was killed by an armed men and you are demonstrating for gov to see
Your misfortune , surprisingly folks out there were laughing at you in your deep sorrows.

Is it not enuf for ibos online to proof that you yorubas hate them.
Only two yorubas has commented so far and their comments are just mockery to the ibos.

I must call a spade a spade.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Drags Nigeria To Court by Awake9ja(m): 4:21am On Oct 15, 2012
omo cyberG,
do you see why we all blv dat only yorubas hate ibos gravely in nigeria. can u read wat u just write above and told me if its not wicked and evil. no group can speak such if not yoruba. your opinion above is held by many yorubas both elites and common.

wit such minds set many yorubas i meet has spoken ill of the ibos, but y i dont know. they cant even make a point of that hatred.

we all may not like ibos but i bet you its clearly to me that there is no reason for that hatread. in my home state we dislike yorubas and ibos but we hate hausa fulanis.

on the case of yorubas its bcus of their tribalism mentality and occupation of most of federal government companies etc in my state. ie: ones a yoruba is made GM of phcn in our state wat you will see after 3months is massive employments of yorubas. we hate that we have graduates too.

on d side of ibos no body has ever givin me reason,i wil be glad to hav one. i accept disliking ibos till now.

on the side of hausa fula they are animals and having them among u is backward to your state and future disaster.
unlike the ibos who pay for everything they obtain but not so to yorubas hausas and fulanis.

everybody keep sacrificing for core north while in return they refuse to reciprocate, why wont tey feel superior?

PoliticsRe: ACF Cautions Northern Christians Over Presidential Slot by Awake9ja(m): 3:50am On Oct 12, 2012
its eighter a northern christian or nothing.

otherwise we vote Gej or even at worst vote an ibo than voting a muslim north again.

mr.sani we hear you well but tell your slave masters that we middle beltans can never go core-north till they reciprocates our favor of voting us too.

this man even claim that afenifere will join soon.

this guys are wuuuuuuuuumeen for real.

so awolowo is equals to yoruba.

or is awo a yoruba God?

wat is the diffe betwen this folks and hausa/fulani. yorubas only can fight for tribe not religion which is tribalism.
hausa fula can fight for religion not tribe which is extremism.

both are the same to me.

PoliticsRe: The Biafra War And Why The Truth Was Blocked From Nigerians by Awake9ja(m): 12:25am On Oct 10, 2012
wat is wrong wit ds yorubas?

awolowo is a man not a tribe.

gowon is also mentioned in the book and no middle beltans has gone on cyber war like yoruba leaders.

you guys are too tribalistic and that kills nigeria.

nl yorubas maybe few pple but wat may come tru ds nonsense you guys are posting might be too damaging to your tribe. pls lock your mouths on this war issue.

the yorubas did not fight the war alone. the ibos also complain about us and we keep mute pls be warn.

do you guys think that Achebe only write about awo in the said book. others involve are not challenging anytin. why you?

no possition is permanent wat if tins changes tomoro and you be on the mercy of ibos do u not tink how they respond. ask the british had they know future if they will ever fought america in the time past.

PoliticsRe: An Intelectual Responce To Chinue Achebe by Awake9ja(m): 9:07pm On Oct 09, 2012
@Acm
any human bein wit conscience will be wit tears after reading your post on baifran war.i hope ibos learnt their lessons.

it keep me wondering why yorubas keep moving via destructive route. you dont remind a war victim how you decimated him.

even northerners does not recount the war to ibos only yorubas does it on daily bases.i hope the yorubas knew the seed they are sowing.

yes every war victim will remind himself about his war looses. ie: china. they keep talking about japanese invasion while japanese keep mute. that is the way.

but yorubas wit loud mouth speaks more than us the beltans who fought the war.

yorubas s learn before it is too late
