It's no scam site. Autoreg is not synonymous to complete registration. Your POCs are handwritten by Lagos State officials and government. Ask yourself why didn't your POC come computer-generated like every other. As far as online verification is concerned, it doesn't recognize the written version. Either way, I think you can neglect the statement 'incomplete registration' insofar as you have the written.

BIR is board of internal revenue. They are in all states and local governments

Though i once register the number with a 2000 model sienna i once used and now re-registered the same number with an 04 corrolla am currently using but while cheking now i still found out that the number is stil tied to the other car which i have sold out about 2yrs ago but i still retain the same number to my new car.

what i can i do in this situation.

You'd need to go to the nearest BIR for revalidation

The website na rubbish. All the plate numbers I entered was just saying number approv d but vehicle registration is not complete. My papers are 100% complete and I even have comprehensive insurance on the car. They should just do something so as not to mislead people. My take#

Is your number a lagos number? Assuredly, your POC is handwritten. POCs are supposed to be computer-generated (online) after registration but Lagos BIR inexplicably leaves this out. Without this stage, your registration will automatically appear incomplete.

I have posted this link on my thread before, after having discovered some agents making fake registration for d unsuspecting clients! however, it is easy to identify a fake registration from d certificate of proof of ownership if u r conversant wt vehicle documents.


Because FRSC did not want the general public to see the full details of the registration, you will only see the name of your car and the date of registration.


The info above is questionable as I have personally approached many frsc bosses on why many vehicle does not indicate complete registration on their site, but up till this moment none has given me a concrete explanation on why that is so.

I hope they come up wt a better explanation soon or profer a way to complete the registration as many clients troop in their numbers to our office to enquire abt this.

If you hadn't done your POC--computer-printed ones unlike the handwritten ones in Lagos + bought a genuine insurance, third-party or any other, it would indicate that your registration is incomplete.

Insurance is a vital part of registration.

Every year government pay hundreds of billions to oil marketers to subsidise the pump price of premium motor spirit(petrol/fuel) so that you and I can be buying at a price lower than the open market price. What these marketers does is to fleece you and I by hoarding the product and force us to buy at much higher rate than even the open market price while still collecting billions on subsidy. What the government want to do is very simple; since open market price is estimated at N89-N90 per litre, they will no longer subsidise it(it's affordable). That means marketers will be competing among themselves to woo customers and we will experience less sabotage considering that nobody will want to lose their share in the market.

How will you benefit? Simple...
1. You will most likely never experience a situation of buying fuel at N3-N5 above the open market price.

2. The hundreds of billions giving to marketers annually will be channelled to productive ventures.

3. The issue of fuel hoarding may hardly arise.
