Domaining seems to be gaining more grounds in Nigeria. I think it's timely to create this thread to enable Nairalanders auction their domain names for as low as N100. Let's do the (Nigerian) trading here insofar as we have no viable domain sale website yet--at least to the best of my knowledge.

Go ahead and do it from any registrar. But It seem Afternic is not accepting Nigerians. I have set up account with them twice and they closed them. Without any reasons. You can make use of your domain from anywhere you registered it with another registrar or hosts unless you don't like their services or you sell the domain/s before you can transfer your domains to another registrar.

Just try and see; they may not close yours.

Look for any similar sales and the price it was bought. I think luck comes in handy sometimes. Someone can buy a somewhat poor name costly while an apparently better name could be sold cheap.

Overall, I think it depends on the number of competing end-users (or bidders) for the domain name.

Just like Chibenze has advised, don't focus on the money for now but on the experience. You can even put $50 or $100. If you're lucky, people may outbid to any figure. Cheers.

No card will be given. You'll need to add your ATM card and they'd deduct almost 800 Naira first and thereafter you'd need to confirm your account. If you don't after some time, they'd return d deduction.
