This is a follow up to a thread I commented on earlier today. I actually have the same problem too and don't know what to do. My parents' over-dependence on these pastors really baffles me. There's a lady that I love but my parents don't like because of what their Pastor said. If I leave this girl, she may even commit suicide because I'm like all she's got and she's also all I've got. But if I disobey my parents, won't I be sinning against God? And God forbid that I encounter a problem with her in the future, my parents will simply say they've warned me.

I agree with the op 100% but what of my own case where I use my BB as a modem for my PC? At least the data will still be deducted from my subscription whether I use it directly from the BB or from the pc through tethering and I can't afford a modem of 5k and a subscription of #2500 per month

perhaps it would be a good idea for us to be updating this thread with testimonies and God's blessings upon our lives to encourage others who are waiting upon God for something . when I read the op post it encouraged me. hope mine encouraged him.

I bet you use the IE (internet explorer) browser in the phone. The version of IE that comes with WP8 is known to have battery draining issues. You can cross check that by heading to battery saver in your settings page to compare the power usage of your running apps. The IE that comes with WP8.1 however, has this problem addressed such that it can be fun browsing with it now.

The alternative could be the use of Opera mini browser or Nokia xpress browser - if you don't mind missing out flash effects and animations in your browsing experience.

Leave ur phone on 3g. Go to settings and disable all background runing apps except one. Plus when chatting on any thirdparty app like whatsapp, ur phone will get hot. That hotness is the one that drains ur battery (the processor in action). Use those apps less frequently if you can. Lastly, ur phone is not PS 2. Stop playing games on it! A word is enough for the wise.

but as far as my knowledge serves me,3g makes phone hot and kills battery so i rarely ever use it(even when i'm downloading). i've already disabled all background apps(except whatsapp,of course). The silly phone doesn't have much games,and i dont i play the ones on it

but i've realised that the sh.it happens when im browsing(it's currently warm as im typing this). I just hope that a software update will solve the problem.

Which version are you running on the phone? Is it 8.0 or 8.1? If its the former, try and update your device to the most recent version. I heard it I'd capable of churchgoing issues like these.

8.0 ,I've not been able to update it because there's no WiFi around me here

2. Set your data to 2G. Only use 3G when downloading

Please help me guys,I just got a Nokia Lumia 520 and I can say I'm loving it as my first windows phone,but my problem now is that the phone used to get hot around the three navigation bar (i.e. Back,home and search buttons) and around the camera area. I wouldn't have bothered ( because I know that's common to most smart phones) if not for the fact that it's draining my battery. Any tip or solution please?

This has been bothering me for a while. Especially since my last bb subscription expired. I've been pondering whether to renew it or not because the last subscription almost had a negative impact on my exams even though I used it a little positively. Do you guys think it's a good idea for a " serious " student to have unlimited data on his phone or PC?
