EngineerBode: This question should be for your spiritual fathers.
Asking on Nairaland can even destroy your faith. Do you want advice from atheist, muslims, and religious bigots? Thanks for the response I've asked them but I'm not satisfied with their responses. Only one of them has a side job which is just typing programs to be printed on his laptop, he does the typing in the church office. They all said that it's better to not have a side job. But I want to know more from people outside my circle. I'm really afraid of poverty and I don't like begging people for money. My fiancee is already complaining ( her case is a story for another day) |

PLEASE THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR ATHEISTS OR HALF BAKED CHRISTIANS Hello everyone! This issue has been bothering me for a very long time now. I knew I would be a man of God ever since I was a small boy. But I still went ahead to pursue my education. I completed my NYSC in 2017 and since then I've got no good job. So I went ahead to learn barbing which till this day I don't understand despite having clippers. I had to forcefully register at a theological seminary not long ago after receiving a very strong warning in my dreams that I will suffer a lot if I don't return to the ministry that God has called me to. But what worries me now is that I don't know if things are difficult because I didn't heed the call of God, and then all the men of God around me are full time pastors and things are sometimes difficult for them. I don't like begging people for money and I always tell God that I don't want to depend on anyone for money and I'm not going into the ministry for the sake of riches. So "experienced people" ,CAN I HAVE A SIDE JOB LIKE A BARBER SHOP ALONG SIDE THE MINISTRY? |

GeoAfrikana: Once again some Nigerians will be here to generalize.
Northerners this...northerners that.
Easterners this...easterners that.
Yoruba this...Yoruba that.
But to be candid, the suffering I went through in Command is beyond all what has been written up there. Shebi na only back tear for this one body.
Shioor.
I hope I'll have time some day to write about what a military school looks like. I'm sure my writing can't do justice to the topic but I'll still try.
I'm not saying it's a nice treatment but the media is just hyping things. Had my national youth service at a command school and I can attest to what you said. Not a place to send a child you love. |

Politics › Re: "Even When You Hate Us, We Would Still Protect You" - Nigerian Soldier by Ay92(m): 6:58am On Jul 31, 2019 |
tstx: I used to think Nigerian soldiers were wicked, heartless until i went for my service... Then everything changed.. Nigerian soldiers can jonze eh. Infact they hv first class in jonzing.. They joke alot, generally they are fun to hang around with...
I also found out that the main reason they are harsh to civilians is because a typical black man only respects those they fear...
Even in our universities, we only respect those lecturers wey we dey fear...
In our secondary schools sef, students only respect and fear teachers wey dey beat them...
So if you think about it, its not their fault that they maltreat civilians... Na our society shape them. Our society is just something else.
So don't blame them... Blame our society, the black society I had a terrible experience with them though |
