I believe you should have a separate change over switch for the inverter unless you don’t ever wana use generator…Anyways 63a breaker for 20A current is an oversize..It won’t help when there’s spike sha…I think 30a is the best depending on your panels spec…63a is just an oversize which will only serve as switch…it won’t protect sh**t

I believe your system is small enough,,I don’t think it’s necessary,,just have good and proper rating surge protectors for both AC and DC…

I'm not mounting myself, I only shared the pic of the binding wire i got and also I'll be using an experience carpenter who do house roofing to climb and bind the 2pcs of 200w panel on the roof directly without using the aluminum profile since I do not have issues generating fire from it

please go ahead….The highest current you can get from 400w panel during peak sun is 20a on parallel connections and 10a on series assuming you operate on a 12v system,just make sure to use better DC cable you will be absolutely fine….

since it's just two like you said i might not need aluminium can place it on roof directly with binding wire.. for having car-port no space, however remember I said it earlier the landlord is skeptical doesn't want it either that it burns house .so he wanted to give me a free space on top of an old tank to use at his own store house roof which consume a lot of Dc wire before it get to my apartment

bro I don’t know why you are disturbed really..See as long as your roof isn’t aluminum or zinc roofing material that generate a lot of heat during peak sun,u don’t need railings for 2 200w panels…..if your roofing material is slate/cement fibre place it directly and be done with it..I mounted 4 pieces of 200w on my previous apartment with cement fibre roof for 5 years during my bachelor days roughly 2 years back with binding…I just made sure every 2 years I check for rust and I never changed any binding wire…it was even easy to unmount them when I left..no leakages during and after…

Just find a professional to mount them,,don’t do them yourself….Now I want to mount this 4 panels on my mums slate roof and yes I will be using binding wire, most likely the anti rust own…Nah person wey go help me mount am I dey find.

At the moment, what's available is 80A Felicity at 130,000 naira. It's open box. Lady bought it not knowing her inverter doesn't require one. Actually was her installer who gave her list of things to buy. DisAgreement caused them to split and we stepped in.

What you are experiencing is not abnormal. That is the very limitation pwm has. For a 12v system on pwm, highest panel size you should have used is 200w. 200w x 3 in parallel, would serve you better than 300w x 2 in parallel. Only advice I have is for you to get an mppt and series the 2 300w panels.

even 200w panels with high voltage and low amps will still give him same result….if he’s using 12v system best for pwm is panels with 17-18v and mayb 10 imp…

Cos I'm only getting 10amp at the peak of the sun, which I think it's too small

well depends on the imp and vmp (max power voltage ) of the panel..since it’s 300w I believe it’s high voltage panel let’s say above 37 and I believe the power current should be around 6-8 +- ….the pwm cc will drag the voltage to you battery voltage…I believe your battery is 12v….that two panels can’t generate more than 12amp……

Pwm cc are not good for high voltage panels because the waste excess voltage since they only use the battery voltage and waste the rest unlinke Mppt that converts excess voltage to current..


Best panels for pwm are panels with low voltage and high current in parallels….get an mppt cc and avoid glorified pwm disguised as mppt
