The article is not well researched. I didn't expect to find any Ghanaian or Nigerian university on the list. There are more older universities in Africa to push UI or UniGhana beyond the first ten. What of Uni of Pretoria and Uni of Fort Hare (both in S/A). University of Nairobi is also older. I'm sure there are many others.
