You judge a player by what he plays week in, week out. Not what he plays rarely. Because suarez scored 1 goal in about 10 games in the ucl last season and 0 goals in 4 dis season, he has to be benched?

suarez may be dwindling in form but he's got class. I bet you no striker would compete with suarez in barca until when he's much more older.

That suarez doesn't score in the ucl doesn't mean anything for me. It doesn't change the fact that he is in the top 3 best strikers in the world.

None is a suitable option for us. Suarez is a great player and ucl games don't determine that.

Though suarez is not in his best form, benching him should not even come near consideration. He was the third highest goalscorer in laliga last season behind only the best in the game. This season, he is the club's second highest goalscorer, behind messi. He may not be having his heroics in ucl but no sensible person benches a player like suarez. With all his hardwork?

Pardon me everyone but i really think we've misplaced our priorities. This is a Barcelona Fan thread for crying out loud and not a messi vs ronaldo debate thread.
The argument about who the best is among them has been on for a very long time. Continuing it here doesn't do us any good. Messi is a great player, so is ronaldo. Ronaldo is a juve player so we got virtually nothing to do with him.
I think we should stop this and settle our differences. Tesspidd and IKON360, calling ourselves names isn't right. We shouldn't be enemies, we are brothers

Dembele cos of he is accustomed to playing with space hasn't been able to fully adapt to the team. And unfortunately, laliga is suddenly so competitive that we can't afford to make mistakes. It's affecting dembele; he is taking so long to play as he is expected to.
Dembele's goals decide matches but consistency still means a lot. He started the 2nd leg of the inter match and virtually everyone wanted him out by half time. Malcom came in for him and scored the goal that will qualify us for the round of 16 barely 2 mins after.
Both wingers started against cultural leonesa. What came out of it? Malcom got subbed off for arthur and lenglet who came in later scored the winning goal. Dembele assisted the goal tho he wasn't active for most of the match. Malcom started against real betis and dembele didn't even make the squad. The game featured brilliance from malcom in the opening minutes and you can fill in the rest.
The talent and ability is there but the metamorphosis is still incomplete.

EV has been great in dealing with dembele. Dembele wouldn't last a half season with pep or klopp with his indiscipline.
And for those that are saying ev doesn't openly support dembele, you need to read news more often.
During the press conference b4 the athletico match, ev criticised the media's treatment of dembele and labelled it 'cruel'; even though that's an understatement.

Bro, i think this is going to b the first time i will agree with you... The tightest defence and they are decisive too. We had to step up in our defence too. You could see that their 1st corner got them their goal. We couldn't be error prone so malcom and dembele weren't the best options in that situation.

Yeah, he could have brought in dembele and malcom earlier but come to think of it, neither of them tracks back to defend and that could have caused us a lot of problems. Dembele could have lost some balls resulting into numerous counter attacks.
Coaching isn't an easy job and making decisions is more difficult when u ave a mammoth squad like barca's. Making the right subs at the right has been a signature of valverde and he should be given credits for that.
It was great coaching from valverde and a great match for d team.
