RuuDie: EV plays players based on the name, and not on current form. Didn't you see Dembele @ Dortmund? A good manager would have helped him develop into a better player. I've never heard EV openly support him in the media. This is what great managers do to talented players. All we see is use Dembele like a test-run machine. Dembele has saved our asses many times this season already. He deserves a better coach. |

RuuDie:Nah. Nobody hates the coach for no reason. If people complain about you all the time, something must be definitely wrong somewhere. Dembele was doing quite fine at some point in the season, and them suddenly, without any known reason, you decided to relegate him to the bench. And, what's with his obsession with Rafinha? |

this match needed high level discipline, Ath Madrid have the stingiest defense in la liga, we needed to be as stingy as they are, and the coach got it right. Don't risk, wait and see. And it worked. If we had started Dembele, he won't the runs of anybody, he will be attempting to dribble and be losing ball, Ath Madrid played a low defense line so no space for Dembele or Malcolm to run into and wait for pass, this match was about technique and patience. And EV got it right. Rafinha is FFAARR more controlled than Dembele who can erratic a times. So Rafinha starts before him. Check, how many players attempted up to 5 dribbles? Our coach is very clueless and tactically inept Dembele should have been subbed in earlier. Malcolm needs to play more minutes. I don't see any spectacular thing Rafinha is doing that Dembele can't do. Messi hasn't regained his match fitness yet. Suarez is losing it day by day, the only thing left for him now is his pedigree. Atletico are always unlucky against barca especially while at home. |

Isomerizm: Point is, Dembele will still get playing time through the course of the season. A squad of over thirty fighting for eight spots every match-day. E easy to pick players. Ordinary FL and FM wen boys dey play, dem dey fall hand. Come imagine real life, pesin handwork situation. Abegii make una cut the man some slack jare! |

IKON360: I tire o. Messi, Suarez, Coutinho, Dembele, Munir, Malcom... in my opinion only 2 or three of those guys can start games because they play around similar positions. Also pointed out there is still like over 30 or 40 games more to be played and this guys go still see minutes... no, it doesn't matter. Maybe they should just remove Ter Stegen so that Malcom and Dembele can see space play make we dey hear word! |

This Valverde is ass.20-25 mins into the 2nd half we were heavily pressing athletico.if you watch athletico games especially this season you will notice this guys are not defensibly disciplined as they use to be.Partey didn't even start this game.If he had brought in offensive players like Malcom and Dembele without Rafinha,we couldve easily won this game.We dominated the whole game but needed that extra domination in the final 3rd to score goals.Athletico weren't even that impressive with their defending.How can you be pressing a team that were very compact with players like Vidal and Rafinha?Vidal was solid but he is no Xavi or pirlo.Arthur was losing the ball and was easily bullied in the midfield.You see that the game needed players that will dribble and open up the defence but this man didn't make any changes until Athletico scored.I swear I may like Valverdes not losing his games but this guy needs to actual go for games and start making his right substitutions.The games he camd out with intent to win,he has won them.Just like El Clasico Barca pressed Madrid throughout the 1st half.He came out to win that game and scored 5.He should do more or should go.Simple! 2 Likes |

Una don start again. Una just like to day fault EV. It's not fair just as Rivaldo is criticising dembele for trying to force a move out of barca with his attitude. Rafinha had a great season at inter, has been playing pretty well this season and still, he hasn't starred in half of this season's matches. EV gave him a shot yesterday and somebody was complaining about his obsession with rafinha. Can't u jux b positive for once? Yeah, he could have brought in dembele and malcom earlier but come to think of it, neither of them tracks back to defend and that could have caused us a lot of problems. Dembele could have lost some balls resulting into numerous counter attacks. Coaching isn't an easy job and making decisions is more difficult when u ave a mammoth squad like barca's. Making the right subs at the right has been a signature of valverde and he should be given credits for that. It was great coaching from valverde and a great match for d team. |

IKON360:Bro, i think this is going to b the first time i will agree with you... The tightest defence and they are decisive too. We had to step up in our defence too. You could see that their 1st corner got them their goal. We couldn't be error prone so malcom and dembele weren't the best options in that situation. 2 Likes |

Debroslink:EV has been great in dealing with dembele. Dembele wouldn't last a half season with pep or klopp with his indiscipline. And for those that are saying ev doesn't openly support dembele, you need to read news more often. During the press conference b4 the athletico match, ev criticised the media's treatment of dembele and labelled it 'cruel'; even though that's an understatement. |

ayoalani: Lad is just 21. I repeat 21 years. He's bound to show signs of indiscipline @ some point. Mbappe and others of same age bracket have also shown signs of indiscipline @ some point, but theirs are not as celebrated as Dembele's, why? Because we have a coach who doesn't really care about him. You talk of Guardiola, then go and check how he handled Raheem Sterling. Now Sterling is enjoying his best football life under him. Meanwhile, Dembele is better than both Sterling and Sane. All he needs is a better manager. 1 Like |

It's a pity roberto got injured. The injury list includes rakitic, samper, vermalaen and roberto. Coutinho should be fit the match against PSV on wednesday. |
