gwinedev: NSEMPA, this may again get lost in the sea of complaints recently aired on this issue, but I must speak on the incessant derailing of this thread—especially by our senior members. While political discussions might be helpful to some, I can speak for myself when I say they are highly distracting. I take time to scroll through this thread looking for genuine insights and knowledge on the NGX, but instead, we are greeted with a lot of topics that simply do not belong here.
I highly respect and look up to the knowledge shared in this community. There are people here whom I don't know personally, but from whom I learn so much. While it is completely normal for a thread to occasionally drift off-topic, this persistent lack of focus needs to be corrected.
I humbly ask that we all consider this. Newbies like myself really want to see this great group maintain its focus. Don't fret too much, the unending back and forth about politics is a recurring and selfcuring SYMPTOM of the present status of the market 🙄 |

mikeapollo: RIP to him. May God continue to protect our gallant soldiers and help them defeat these criminals terrorizing our people all over the nation!
But how come he died on June 6 and the rescue operation was on July 10? Was he the one that died in the rescue operation? Was the rescue operation done on June 6? If so, why the delay until July 10 before they announced the rescue? More than one month after? Just questions bothering my mind.
Will you be satisfied with the answers or you will find new questions in the answers 😉 |

Abi it is obi that produced the 63% figures. Which I believe should even be 75% now. You don't reduce poverty and hunger by sharing 3 cups of rice. And if you and yours fall into that 63% .You will understand better the French You understood after falling into the basket 🤔 |

mikeapollo: It is possible, especially in an inflationary period after the devaluation of the currency. Prices of goods and services will rise. Stocks, in this contexts, are also ''commodities'' whose prices will rise in tandem with the trend in the economy. But a stock selling at N500 today, is of less ''real value'' compared to same stock selling for N200 before May 29, 2023 Nothing should be possible until 140 million hungry people are fed. |

However, without directly answering your question, I will say that you should bear in mind that there is no guarantee of profit with the so-called better stocks. Finally, I'll advice that you wait at least till Q1 '26 or/and the RI prospectus is released... The first bolded is supported but for the 2nd bolded, it is like waiting for the blinking of a 🦀 |

magi6: With this kind of EPS, even if FCMB makes zero profit till the end of the year, it will still afford to pay N2.00 dividend at the end of the year. This is a fantastic result. I am expecting the share price to catchup with Fidelity @ N22.00k before September 2026. NB N4.63 annualised means EPS of about N1.15 per quarter. |
