Utaroz:@utaroz, how many of these so called cops are not guilty of that?im happy that u are in nigeria.look around u and tell me the cop that u know that drives a car thats not older than 15years,not even 10years now.except that he has another means of livelyhood which i bet wont be clean.so bruv, the cops are aware that such things like this happens.the only reason why i wouldnt so much buy the cop idea is that their own commission from getting the money might even cost the poster half of that money.thats the reason why i adviced that she should first take it cool and see if the whole thing can be resolved amiccably. @poster, check my earlier post.i still advice u go and see things for yourself rather than sit and continue to believe the 'my car will come today,my car will come tommorow' story.as far as im concerned, that idiot is not telling the truth.its so annoying cos such people give real dealers a bad name. |

@poster, is that not where they are presently constructing the overhead bridge?i heard some rumours that they use people as sacrifice before constructing a bridge.i dont know how true that is. |
@poster, i have sent the pics to ur box. |
oyb:i dont really think its wise to involve the soldiers.cos that is like taking the laws into your hands.u should be very careful with whatever step u are going to take cos somethings u do might change the whole story to boomerang on u.in my own opinion,if u are to even involve the soldiers,u have to inform the police first.and i still think its very necessary for u to go to wherever he claims ur car is and see if its true, cos i doubt if hes telling the truth about this. @oyb, the fact that one banana is bad, does that make the whole bunch bad?are u not a nigerian?i just feel genarilising that nigerians are useless people is totally wrong.just a thought! |
@poster, have a very clean one thats manual transmition.dont know if you are still interested.call me on 08058054334. |
@poster, too bad.this is the second bad report il be reading about cotonou in two days.from all indications u have indeed fallen into the wrong hands.i am a car dealer and i also buy cars from cotonou.i have helped series of nairalanders to buy cars from cotonou and they will all attest to it when i say that the purchase and delivery of their cars have not exceeded one week max, from the date of purchase.i will not dispute the fact that so many car dealers are dubiuos.and im aware of so many tactics,if not all, that they play.in your own case,i smell dupe. If you are buying a car from cotonou, after paying for the car,you start the clearing that same day.and if you have a good agent and you make full payment for clearing instantly, the car can leave the park same day for escort.if your agent doesnt get the papers done that day,it leaves the park the next day,or two days after(worse case scenario).and when it gets to escort,it leaves for seme border the day after.by the time it gets to seme border,if your money is intact, you pay the duty at the ECOWAS building there otherwise,u fly it.although, attimes the road is tough, but at most in 3days after,ur car should arrive lagos. If you calculate all these, its just about 1week. Now,ur dealer has lied to u because its absolutely impossible for him to pay customs duty out of the 700k given to him for that car.and what is your car still doing in a village close to the boarder?this shows that he's not plain with u and theres more to it.its a pity he lives in cotonou,il have suggested that you launch a complain at the police station and get him arrested.such people are the cause of the negative thoughts which so many have in buying cars from cotonou.ive read so many even saying that all cotonou cars passes through the bush.seme road is an express road without one single pothole.its smoother than many lagos raods.except that u take your car in through idi-iroko which is rough, and i wouldnt advice anyone to go through there. My advice,at this juncture is that you should create time and go to wherever he says your car is and see things for yourself first.then you should plead with him(use diplomacy first),to help u bring in the car.and thats even if theres any car there.but u have to be patient first, before using force.and make sure that refund should be your last option, cos he will pay u back in such a way that u wont be able to account for that money again. meanwhile,in all,i wish u luck. |

@poster, sir guess u were the one who called me on phone some days back.well,i feel sorry for u.thats why i often insist on people following me to cotonou whenever they want to get a car.cos even before u make deposit for whatever u want to buy,u wouldve known its landing cost at ur doorstep, and if u like it,then u can commit urself.maybe if u had gone with the dealer, this wouldnt have been an issue.ive contacted my agent as i promised u on phone.but still no positive thing yet.but il sure let u know if theres anyway i can help u out.i dint save ur number so u can call me so that i can save it incase something good comes up.once again, sorry for that experience. |
