A cousin choosed nursin science as 1st choice in unilag and choosed medical laboratory science as 2nd choice also in unilag.she got 250 in her utme& she is frm kogi state of origin.if she doesnt beat d cut off for nursin does it mean her 2nd choice is useless because unilag doesnt consider 2nd choice?wot can she score in post utme to guarantee he admissn?tanx

i'll advise u choose agric so dat u can pick agricultural economics in ur 300L.to me i prefer agric eco to chemistry.jacob ajeigbe former first bank MD studied agric eco here.think abt ur relevancy after schl b4 going for any course.chemistry is also a 9s course anyway

if u can score a very 9s mark in 3subjects chemistry shldnt be d problem even if u choose randomly u'll get at least 7 out of 25 and note dat ui didnt use negative markin but we stil dont knw watz gonna happen dis year.dont expect sumtin similar to jamb question in d english language.english was d easiest if u can masta those grammatical functions and figure of speech like simile,metaphor,alliteration,irony,euphemism etc so dont waste ur time with english past questions.the questions were technical

dont be decieved by those 78 shortlisted cos ui wil neva admit more dan 30 to 40 out of dem.most of d candidates for zoology are d ones shortlisted for medicine,nursing,dentistry etc dat wil score high marks lik 65% and abov but may nt beat d cut off of their courses they wil join pple with highest post utme mark in zoology.last year's cut off for medicine was 69 and anytin below dat is going to zoology.dats ui style just be among first 30 candidates with highest score there and u re in.u are welcome to zik hall

D reason why 50% of d candidates dat sat for d 1st post utme last year was dat they were xpectin interrative session dats y abt 65% of d candidates passed d 2nd one.last year 25,513 submitted their results online,5045 wrote d post utme,3131 were recommended for admissn but only 2849 matriculated.377 went to art faculty,519 to science,400 to college of medicine,258 to agric,331 to social science,363 to education,89 to vet,278 to tech,89 to pharmacy and 139 to law faculty.ui may nt admit more dan 3000 out of dat 7000+ names dat av bin shortlisted&note dat candidates are nw aware of d written post utme so u re competin with d best.gudluck

go and do it immediately cos u wont hav any oda option if u dont beat d cut off of ur choosen course after d post utme and am assurin u dat many pple wil hav high marks in dis year's post utme.abt 7300 hav been shortlist and ui may nt admit more dan 3500 or may nt even up to dat cos just 2849 candidates were given admissn last year and dats y u must make it fight to finish

In a nutshell, i was unable 2 make a printout because it was very late. D fflw day, i was unable 2 reach d portal. Now d@ d applicatn page printout is nt in d examinatn requirements nd i was shortlisted nd invited 4 d post utme -- even though i possess all other requirements -- do u think i am save? d last course ui wil consider u for after d post utme if u dont beat d final selection cut off for ur course.lets take medicine as example,abt 397 were shortlisted to write d exam last year final selection cut off was 69 which i'm very sure it wont be less dan 75 dis year cos i knw candidates are more prepared to pass d exam.ui wil choose d first 100 candidates with highest marks out of dat 397 if d least mark of dat 100 candidates is 75% dat means any1 with 74% may end up in zoology dept which wil be like a disasta to d candidate.dats wot happened last year which made abt 300 candidates to reject d admissn.last year least cut off for admissn was 50% and it is likely to increase dis year it depends on d performance of candidates in d post utme.dats y i always say it's d survival of d fittest
