@johncasey,u re welcome to ui with those ur results.pls dont change cos u re already shortlisted.ui wil use ur further maths for u as d fifth subject.ui wil giv d pple writin waec nw d opportunity to submit their results wen d result is released by august sept. lheyhe u re d reason why am stil loggin in to dis thread.i want u to confirm it dat ui used 50:50 and nt 60:40 for its admissn last year.to read last year's admissn instruction everybody should type '2011/2012 UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN 50:50 UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION' in ur google and read it.some1 even copied it 4rm ui website to nairaland last year.50:50 is still nt popular so pple hav to b very careful.UI IS NW USING 50:50 AND NT 60:40

pls any applicant dat needs information abt ui admissn should come and confirm by him or her self here in admissn office room 7

Samlan1: Ayodeji welldone.thnk u 4 putin an end to d long disputed 60:40 saga.i nw believ UI uses 50:50. A friend of mine scores 216 in jamb and had 25 point in waec and choses Ui first n second,physiotherapy n physiology. Is d jamb score nt too small for UI invitatn?

nt too small physiotherapy is high and i wil advise him to change to less competative course to boost his chance

whilly: Dont spread wrong infomation U.I is using 60:40 not 50:50 because i have confirm it from admission office, i choose U.I last year 1st and 2nd choice but unfortunately my name was not shortlisted due to my o'level result because i only 3B. But now i have choose U.I this year again and also writing this on going waec exam

u re very wrong.i go to admissns almost everyday 4 one reason or d oda so go to room 7 there and reconfirm

zezeny: I don't know about dis year's own o, but I'm 99% sure dat ui used 60:40 last year. Dis is because 4 every1 dat followed d admission last year u will see dat dey wrote ur total point on ur post utme slip which if u calculate very well u will see dat it tallys with d 60:40 format.
But I'm not arguing dis year's own o cod I've not confirmed,nd I don't argue what I don't know. But I will try and confirm at d admission office. But it is very possible dey might av changed it to 50:50 dis year,I'm not disputing dat.

dont conclude like dat.go to admissn office and confirm what they used last year and come back here to share it wit us

i think what should borda applicant nw is hw to score a very high mark in ur post utme after u must hav been shortlisted.let me give d break down of last year admissn so dat u can hav d ideal of ui is nw nt all abt shortlistin bt also to hav high mark in post utme.gone are d days dat sum1 wil hav A1 in biology and they wil askin him to define biology in d interractive session:last year 25,513 submitted their results online but 5,045 were shortlisted and wrote d post utme out of which 3,131 scored 50 and above.d 3,131 dat scored above 50percent were recommend for admissn but 2,849 showed out for clearance and matriculated.282 reject their admissn because they were given anoda course for they didnt beat d cut off of their choosen course after post utme result was out but score above 50

as at last year first and second choice admissn were dsame but we stil dont knw wot is gonna happen dis year but wit gud o.level result u wil make it.pharmacy here in ui is less competative compare to some courses in college of medicin.i tink d highest so far since 2007 is 71.2 on merit.i think what should boda u nw is to hav high mark in ur post utme after umust hav been shortlisted

alrit lheyhe d fact stil remain dat i dont say wot i dont knw much abt and i dont need a prophet to tel me wot i knw.av been livin inside ui since 2001 immidiately i finish 4rm secondary skul.since then i hav been tryin to study medicine here in ui but luck wasnt on my side.i was frustrated to d point dat i later went 4 veterinary medicine.am nw in 300L.my 2 younga brodas are nw in 500L law and 300L economics.my passion 4 human medical made to resit 4 gce which i got good results which made me to reapply 4 nursing sci.i should hav used d o.level i used 4 vet to reapply but u can neva use one o.level 4 double admissn in ui cos if u are caught u re xpelled

ui made it knwn to applicants last year dat they use 50:50 system when an advert was placed on d notice board of d admissn office for changin of course.any1dat went to admissn office last year would see 50:50 in and instruction 4 change of course.did any1 of u ask d meanin of d 50:50 4rm admissns office?stop arguein 4 nw and confirm 4rm d admissn office on tuesday b4 u continue with ur arguement
