Make God Your SourceMake God Your Source
Some people make their job, business, husband, uncle, parent, child or anything and anyone else except God their source. Unfortunately, they are setting themselves up for disappointment in the future. In the face of the current economic situation in the world today, you need to make God only your source.
When Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac, he told him, "The Lord will provide for Himself a ram." God had not promised to provide a ram for Abraham, but Abraham committed God to providing when he told Isaac that God would provide. And indeed God provided a ram to replace Isaac.
If every time there is a need you look to yourself or someone else to provide instead of looking to God, you are setting yourself up for lack. In every situation of need, believe that the Lord is your source of provision. He is your source, though He can use any channel to meet your needs. However, if you mistake the channel for your source, you may be disappointed.
Philippians 4:19 says, "My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." God has promised to provide all of your needs, not some. You need to start trusting God for all your needs, whether small or big. Believe God even for the smallest things. There is a way you may live your life that will cause you to miss out on God's blessings if you do not make God your source.
Do not depend on people for your provision, but on God. Proverbs 25:17 cautions us not to wear out our welcome. Do not make man your source. If you make man your source, you may not grow and you may be disappointed. Those who depend on men will be like a shrub in the desert or like a bush in the wasteland. They will not see prosperity when it comes. Jeremiah 17:5-6 says, "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength." The man who looks to himself or to another man has limited how far he will go in life. The greatest he can become is a shrub in the desert, but not a tree.
Are you worried about many things. What you need to do is to seek the Lord, and you will be delivered from all your fears. Those who seek the Lord look to God and not to men. It is in the continuous seeking of God that you get results. Do not do it once and stop.
God gave the Hebrews favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Exodus 3:21 records the promise God made to Moses, and it was fulfilled in Exodus 12:36. The Egyptians were not their source, but only channels. God was their true source.
Believe that God is your source. Confess God's word regularly and pray to God consistently. God will bless you. If you make God your source, He will not disappoint you. God is your provider and Shepherd. https://www.facebook.com/61592547764870/posts/122107911261418258/?app=fbl

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the grace made available through our Lord Jesus Christ. I receive the grace for prosperity in every area of my life. Let every form of lack and limitation give way to Your abundant provision. Bless the work of my hands, grant me wisdom to create and manage wealth righteously, and make me a channel of blessing to many. May my life glorify You and advance Your kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen. |
Christianity Etc › Grace For Prosperity by Ayofe2028(op): 8:58am On Aug 07 |
Text: 2 Corinthians 8:9
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich." (NKJV)
Through the cross, Jesus Christ laid aside the riches of heaven and embraced poverty, shame, and suffering so we could receive God’s provision. It was a divine exchange: His lack for our abundance. By His grace we are empowered to prosper in every area, spiritually and practically, and to live generously for His glory.
Prosperity is not about excess. It is about having enough to live well, to be a blessing, and to advance God’s kingdom in the world. The Scripture tells us that the Lord takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. God desires that His children have options, that we can live generously, and that we can contribute to the work He is doing on earth.
Now that we know He became poor for our sake, we have no reason to remain bound to scarcity. Do not let your background or your present economic situation define you. Grace is greater than both. Grace lifts us, provides for us, and positions us to be channels of blessing.
The challenge of the gospel is faith. If we believe this word, it will shape how we live. Believe that for your sake He became poor, so that through His poverty you might become rich. Walk in that truth, steward it wisely, and let your life become a testimony of God’s goodness. https://www.facebook.com/61592547764870/posts/122105121807418258/?app=fbl

MadamVanessa:

It's disheartening to witness a government agency tasked with combating crime and fraud exhibiting behavior that mirrors the very issues they're supposed to be addressing. This lack of civility and contradictory approach is a significant concern. Unfortunately, this incident is one of many reasons I've grown disillusioned about this ZOO. You are wrong. Nigeria is not a zoo but an evil forest. Calling Nigeria a Zoo is an insult to zoos worldwide. |

jospepper: After finding no evidence to link the businessman to internet fraud, the EFCC officials reportedly apologized for the damages caused and left the premises.
Is this the proper remedy for the trauma and humiliation meted on the innocent family? The first question should be, is that the proper way to make arrest? I've given up on this Zoo. |

I have gone back over earlier posts and can see that you are not one of the regular refuseniks, who think they know it all. You clearly mean well for your child but simply need a little more time to gather more facts.
If I can make time tomorrow, I am going to call the technical contacts identified below - to find out more about the house-to-house teams mentioned below.

thatigboman: dont allow them force anything on you. Polio vaccination is in the card issued to your wife. How old is your child? What's the name of the vaccination they are trying to force on you? Don't let anyone put u under tension. Tell them u have their number and know their office. That if you require their service, you will call them. Report to police and keep them standby. When next those people come, all you will pack yourselves to police station, let them go and explain their mission there. It's very simple. It's harrassment. Don't fear them. They should be the one fearing u. Thank you for your advice. They told me the name of the vaccine but I have forgotten it. I have already told them I will report to the police but I am waiting for their next visit. To say the truth, they frightened me. |

tsdarkside: they work for WHO or the hospital your child was born....?? They claimed to be working with WHO but came through a maternity center in another town close to us. My child was born in a university teaching hospital. I some of them are workers in the maternity center. They are about ten in number. |

DaddyJapan: What exactly are your fears?
Are you sure you are well informed about the benefits of childhood immunization? My fear is that I don't know their next move. They are too desperate. I am informed about vaccinations but their attitude is suspicious and scaring. Apart from visiting us incessantly, they also came to our church today and also vow to go to my wife's place of work tomorrow. They are even reporting us to neighbours, sending them to appease us. |

tamdun: Op,u are not telling the whole story,no one,I repeat no one can force ur child to take vaccine If someone else had told me the same story, I would also have found it difficult to believe. I have never heard about vaccination by force. It's bad to the extent that they came to our church today and they promised to also visit my wife's place of work tomorrow. |

thatigboman: Op, didn't the hospital your wife delivered give u card of when the child would be vaccinated? Children are vaccinated at different times from month 1 to 7 years. One of the vaccinations is polio. It is very important. But has to be done in the hospital at the appropriate age, not at home by WHO. My wife actually collected a card at the maternity center close to us (though she gave birth in a teaching hospital). She has being following the schedule of the card religiously without missing anyone. But the issues is that my spirit does not agree with this one they want to force on us. Their attitude is suspicious and annoying. It is as if they have uterior motive. |

1TrippleCee: Go to the police or get a lawyer. A lawyer can fet you a petition to issue them a restraining order bot coming to you or any where around you
Btw, what is the vacinne about or its name ? They said the vaccine is to immunate babies against polio virus. While I don't dispute that with them, I still don't want it for my baby, for reason best known to me. |
Report them to police
This is what I intend to do but my Mom is discouraging me because she doesn't trust the Police. However, if their threat is becoming too much for me, I think won't have any choice other than to go to the police station at last. I think they need to be reported in case of necessities. |

1TrippleCee: Lock your doors tell your neighbors to tell them you travelled to your village. Only come out early in the mornings or at nights It's like we've offended these people and they have almost every information about us through our neighbours. They know when we are at home and when we are not. They only come whenever we are at home. |

Good evening great Nairalanders,
Between yesterday and today, hefty men and women who claimed to be agents of WHO have come to my house five times with the intention of inoculating my child. But for reason best understood by me I don't want any more vaccines for my baby. I believe the post natal vaccines she has being receiving almost every month at the hospital is enough.
But these people keep coming to my house despite several rejections. I pleaded with them to give me time to make research on the vaccine but they couldn't agree with me. They came to my house once two weeks ago, thrice yesterday and twice today (Sunday). Their incessant visits is wearing me out, becoming highly suspicious, quite embarrassing and I consider it a threat to my family.
I don't know their next move and I am scared. Please how can I stop them? I have their phone numbers and I know their office.
