Please allow me to share some facts about the minimum wage calculation.
The new minimum wage if signed to law only stipulates how should be paid at the lowest level as wage to Nigerians for work done. We should note that it only states the least amount payable and not the incremental value on existing salaries above the minimum wage.
Using myself as a case study. The last increment in minimum wage from #18,000.00 to #30,000.00 did not affect my salary in anyway. The argument was that I was already earning above the new minimum wage level.
This issue of minimum wage goes beyond just increasing the take home pay of Nigerian working class. The increase in salary will only increase the rate of inflation in the country as this will increase only the money in the Economy and not necessarily increase the volume of goods and services that the increase of money can purchase.
I pray that the Good Lord, guide our leaders right, amen.

This claim I find laughable. Let them tell us if we are suppose to experience fuel scarcity in the first place as a major producer of oil in the world. Where is the promise to fix refineries and build new ones. They shouldn't provoke our anger.
