Just what did the o.p expect, quality service, you are in Nigeria for god's sake. The only reason mtn and its like function reasonably well is because they are foreign owned.
Unfortunately, I actually expected quality service, maybe not 100% but to a level at least....

This is what I don't understand, should area really define the quality of a service and again, am in Lagos, so what happens to people in Ibadan, or Nasarawa?
Technology MarketPlease Dont Be Deceived, Ntel Is The Worst ISP In Africa... by Aywire(op): 3:47pm On May 23, 2017
ntel is the worse network in Africa , i have used them from January to may. very poor network and rude customer service. they will literally tell you to not disturb them that they are not the network but only paid to do a job. i just subscribed to a new ISP not too long ago. and i thank God i am out of their crappy service.

let me tell you my experience with them, i got the network around jan/feb. i think its feb, they told me that it is unlimited dat that i should pay for two months (#10,000/month) and i will get the third month free, just as you are advertising. so i did. about 3 days when i started using the network at work (mind you we are just two using it), i noticed that 30% of the time it wont connect, just bad network which slowed down our work, each time i called to complain, they will be so rude and manner-less, telling me there is nothing they can do about it that i have to wait till the server comes back up, and i tell u that this bad network happens at least 4 times in 7 days for almost 3 - 4 hours daily u wont be able to browse, i got pissed and went to their office , the customer care there after arguing about his manner of approach which i didn't like gave me a number to call and make a complain and said he is only doing me a favour by giving me the number. I was like for real, for what i paid for? rubbish.. anyway, over this weekend, the mifi didnt connect through out because i usually take home the mifi over the weekend, so on monday out of frustration i sent my staff to go to their office (as usual), and they told him the promo has been cancelled and since my two months ended on friday i have to pay the new monthly few of 13,600. i was shocked that why must a promo i paid for be cancelled mid way and an increment of tariff without duly informing the customer, this silly guy said and i quote 'Mr oga, u can go and ask the management'. If you go any of their office, you will always see long queues of customer who have all come to make a complaint or the other. So i asked my staff to bring back the mifi and i gave him money to go sign up for a new ISP. if you make the mistake of buying ntel because of this yeye scam promo you are on your own.... because they told me the promo has be cancelled, but yet i see people still advertising this same promo, so am confused.....
so i just saw someone advertising that the ntel mifi is going for a promo price of 30,000 and you get one month free subscription. i bought the mifi at #19,000 and subscription was #10,000 as at february. but from the above price, this is not a promo, they just added it up and called the mifi #30,000 with 1 month 'free' subscription. Nigeria is a scam. Please who else has suffered in the hand of ntel. share your experience..

NYSCWhy NYSC Should Be Scrapped And Restructured Into This... by Aywire(op): 3:41pm On May 16, 2017
Good day to everyone reading this, my name is Ayoola Oshodi, i am a digital marketer, event producer and manager at MMH Limited - a management and media company based in Lagos, Nigeria and NC, USA. I am writing this as a means to reach out to the ruling people in power and as a way to advise the government on what to do with the present NYSC program that has become a waste of time.

First of all, i will like to start this piece by saying that this piece is not written to discredit the NYSC program, but as a way to make it better. Also i am the original poster of this content, no part of it should be reproduced without due credit to the original poster.

Many readers do not know that the NYSC program was created in a bid to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the Nigerian Civil war.
The unfortunate antecedents in our national history gave impetus to the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established "with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity".
- NYSC website.

Fast forward to today it is not rocket science to see that the aim in which the NYSC was created has been outlived which means that the program has outlived its usefulness. Nonetheless, this program has become a pride to many youths of this great nation. Youths who graduate from higher institutions wear their green khaki and white shirt with pride to show the world that they are indeed finally a graduate, while the under graduates countdown to the days of their service year. Many others have met life partners and business partners from various camps across the nation while some others discover themselves and set on a life changing path to fulfilment from this program just to point out a few benefits of the program. It is also no doubt a great way of integrating fresh graduates into the workforce of the country.

It is madness to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. It has become a night mare for corpers and parents when the service year commences as the living conditions of these young adults has become an eye sore, not to mention the late payment of their peanut allowees, and the remoteness of the communities some of these youth corpers get posted to on a yearly basis. Also companies now hire corpers batch in, batch out as it helps them to save money on paying graduate staffs. They promise this corpers employment after the service year, only to hire and replace them with fresh corpers when a new batch of corpers become available for hire. To me, this can be equated to modern day slavery.
At the end of this service year, many youth corpers become jobless and are left to face the reality of life and the labour market on their own. This is unfair. The only true usefulness of this program is during the election period, on the contrary during these periods, and from past happenings, these adults are exposed to a very high risk of violence and in many cases death. How inhumane can we be if we continue to act blind and turn a deaf ear to these realities? Let’s call a spade a spade, NYSC has become a total waste of time.
Consequently, I will be unreasonable to suggest to have the program scrapped ( the national body has tried to scrap it anyway), this is because few of the aims of the program include; To establish a united, strong and self-reliant nation, to establish a great and dynamic economy and to create a land of bright and full opportunities for all citizens. How then can we redirect the stray course of this national youth program? How then can we reassure ourselves that the contribution and objectives of this program brings about self and national development, how can ensure that the future (youths) of this great nation are secured?. There is the reality of economic hardship across the nation at the moment, we need to re-sit, rethink, and re-plan our strategies in navigating the nation onto the direction of prosperity and unity. This is still very achievable, not solely with the NYSC program but as a stepping stone to the greater things we hope to achieve in the nearest future.
My suggestion which is open to criticism by the way and reviews; Convert the NYSC program focus to agriculture. Before the discovery of oil, agriculture was Nigeria’s largest export and was a wealthy sector contributing largely to the national foreign exchange. Now oil prices are crashing, oil wells are drying up, we need to create an alternative means of income for the nation - Agriculture. How then will the NYSC program help boost the agricultural sector?
Yearly we have hundreds of thousands of corpers being posted to different states to serve their father land. This restructuring should task each state with establishing a farming camp for a branch of agriculture i.e livestock or plants and in a certain produce that best fits their geographical location (coca, pepper, cows, pigs, poultry etc), at this camps permanent and ad-hoc staffs, trainers and supervisors will be hired for the smooth operation of this camps (employment), Residential quarters will be built on these camps as well, now as a corper, just after your orientation camp, you will be posted to one of the camps across the nation to begin your service year. This does not in any way affect the present regular activities of the NYSC program, the only difference is instead of being posted to the classroom, or to a government establishment or being hired by a private company as a modern day slave, you are being posted to the farm to feed the nation.
The result of this will be huge for the nation. It will leave those initial places being occupied by corpers vacant for real employment of jobless graduates walking the streets also this will boost the gross income of the nation as agricultural products being produced by Nigeria will be on the increase with more than 1000%. These corpers will be groomed on farm management, marketing, accounting, operation etc, and will also actively participate in the production process, with the number of corpers serving at any particular time and the number of camps across the nation, many corpers will pass out from these camps and will be motivated to establish individual farms of their own. Loans should be made available to these corpers who may wish to go into farming after passing out from the NYSC program. Produce from these camps would feed the entire nation and also create export goods for the country.

There are over 200 million people in Nigeria at the moment, how many farmers do we have at the moment feeding these people? We cannot meet up with the present demand of the nation this is why we keep importing what we can produce. I discovered while doing a research on this piece that over 90% of Nigeria land mass is arable and suitable to plant any kind of food produce, why then are we still importing these produce. I think this is a good initiative that the government should look into and see how they can make this work and put these corpers into proper use rather than risking their lives and wasting their time.
Thank you. Please drop your opinion and feel free to add ideas that will make this initiative more effective.

Celebrities“if Someone Is Experiencing Violence, Leave The Marriage” – Joke Silva Speaks by Aywire(op): 3:10pm On Apr 02, 2017
Joke SilvaShe said:
“People say marriages are breaking here and there, fine. But the reason marriages are breaking up in Nollywood is because we are out there in the public domain. There are so many marriages breaking up among lawyers, bankers and doctors, and when you compare that to the number of marriages breaking up in Nollywood, you find that it is a very small percentage. The fact is that social media is now our reality and it is having a lot of effect on the industry. So, when people say to me, ‘what advise are you giving younger people?’ My dear, that is what Light in The Dark is also about. The issue is that if someone is experiencing violence, male or female, leave the marriage. Leave it because when you die the other person continues living. For me, whether the abuse is emotional or physical, please leave; and let each party get counseling, then you can come back together if counseling works, but if not, don’t come back.

Let’s all stand up and close our eyes as we give a minute silence to all those who missed the last edition of the ‘ Escape to Hard Rock ’ beach party last Sunday (Tick….tock..Tick) lol.
Escape to Hard RockThe event which went down on Sunday, the 26th of March 2017 at Hard Rock Café -Landmark Village, Oniru was set ablaze with lots of guest from all works of life. Girls and guys, singular and ‘plural’, married couples and even children (yes even children were present).
The theme of this event ‘Escape to Hard Rock’ was really in motion as the movers and shakers of the top commercial sector where all present to unwind and ‘escape’ from the week long drama of the hustle and bustle of Lagos.
Escape to Hard RockGuests in attendance were thrilled by good music, wonderful drinks of different sorts and affordable snacks to go with. There was also so many side attractions like the volley ball competition that set the whole atmosphere ablaze and the winning team went home with the sum of 100 000 NGN. Also, young Lagos chics were allowed to show their football skills as the sweet savoring beach side air gave the atmosphere a more pulsating feel.
Monkey Media House (MMH LIMITED) and their squad of reporters and photographers were at every turn of the environment from the start of the event to about 2pm till the last second which was almost at the struck of midnight to make sure those present had a memory that lingered and you at home did not miss a thing as though you were present. I’m sure your minute of silence is over; you can now open your eyes and see a fraction of what you missed.

FamilyRe: My Husband Not Talking To Me, Because I Gave A Man Wrong Number by Aywire(m): 7:02pm On Mar 01, 2017
amyzon:
It started yesterday afternoon when my husband took me to the hospital to pick up my family planning pills with our 2 months old baby. To cut the story short, I went into d midwife's office alone to pick d pill , ask questions and get answers.

Inside the midwives office was a very young doctor who got involved in all my discussion with the midwife. Alone the line, the midwife went out to pick something and at that moment the young doctor asked me for my number, I gave him a wrong number .

So when we got home I told my husband about it. He got angry , started attacking me about it , my husband said giving the doctor a number at all was me insulting him, that it doesn't matter if it was a wrong number or not .

Truth is, I'm not the type to insult a guy who approached me, I always give wrong number. I have been apologising to my husband since yesterday even when I totally don't think I did something wrong , Yet he is still boiling up. Pls I need to understand what I did wrong cos I don't think I did something wrong.
You did everything wrong my dear. Go to you husband, kneel down and beg him. What he is fighting for is that you should have told the doctor that you can't give him your number because you are married. End of discussion. This may also mean that if you meet someone you are attracted to, you might as well give him the right number. Go and apologise...
