Hello peeps....pls as anyone reasoned along the possibility of a fuelless generator? I've read so many articles online and information offline also seen couple of adverts (not sure if genuine though) but I'm yet to see anything truly serious and recent about it here on nairaland and especially on this thread which I believe was started to provide solutions/alternatives to the epileptic power supply in the country and i know there are many engineers here on this thread. So Is it that it's not feasible or no equipments or something else, I believe most of us saw someone who made a water fuelled generator not long ago although with what I heard it might be quite difficult to operate but it's a start and he must be applauded. Some people have placed a lot of arguments about how the idea can't obey the rules of thermodynamics and thereby is not workable, well maybe and maybe not but I believe "if u can think it you can make it". Anyways keep up the good work here been following since 1900 |
see belle....can't even stand on his feet to show his avtivism, protect Ginni ![]() |
saw this on a telegram group. Apparently someone's car was stolen last year but later found by police officials this year but guess what? The car had been modified to a better and more outstanding version compared to when it was stolen of which the owner believed might not have been possible due to financial constraints. Every disappointment is a blessing indeed. You believe? So would you honestly pray for such blessings? I pray that the Almighty turns our disappointments to appointments and unfathomable blessings from now on.

The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, Mr Ferdinand Moolman yesterday appealed to the senate to consider the Data price floor as set by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, saying that data price is among the lowest in the continent. Moolman who made presentations in Abuja, at the Senate hearing on Data price floor, also noted that the inability of telecom operators to access forex and that of the activities of the unlicensed providers of “over-the-top” telecoms services, contribute to the dwindling fortunes of licensed operators in the country. He described the OTT operators as people “who do not have any physical presence; nor pay any taxes; nor make any significant contribution to employment or other socio-economic objectives of government in Nigeria” According to him, “MTN is committed to continue its efforts to provide the best data network to the people of Nigeria. In this regard, however, there are a number of factors that impact the sector’s sustainability such as the rise of headline inflation to about 17.9% The depletion of operator revenues by unlicensed providers of “over-the-top” telecoms services who do not have any physical presence; nor pay any taxes; nor make any significant contribution to employment or other socio-economic objectives of government in Nigeria “ There’s also the inability of operators to access foreign exchange. This is particularly debilitating given that most of our inputs are sourced off- shore. This has very significantly increased both operating and capital expenses. “ Despite these macro-economic challenges, telecom tariffs have declined significantly to over 67% between 2007 and 2016 and data prices are amongst the lowest on the continent. “ With this in mind, MTN looks forward to the cost study as confirmed by the NCC, and remains committed to working with the Regulator and Industry to ensure fair value and fair competition in the Nigerian market”. Moolman added that MTN actively contributed to the development of the National Broadband Plan , and has consistently taken every step to facilitate the achievement of Government’s objectives of pervasive, cost-effective and sustainable access to data services by all strata of Nigeria’s population. The company continues to be an ICT development partner to the government and people of Nigeria. soutce: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/12/mtn-urges-senate-approve-nccs-data-price-floor/ No wonder they were so eager to implement in the first place.I'm yet to hear globacoms take on the matter though. |
Raging football hooligans beat a referee within an inch of his life after he red- carded several players during a match in Argentina . The mob was held back by police as they hurled insults from the stands before they broke free and poured onto the pitch. Last night the injured ref said : “ This has got to stop once and for all . I got a real beating . I can ’ t even move my lips . It was something completely unexpected. I sent a Sarmiento player off for insulting me , another hit me from behind and it all kicked off from there. There were a lot of people , very few police officers and I couldn ’ t do anything . It ’ s the first time this has ever happened to me . I’ ve got three children, I felt powerless . When I got home my wife and I hugged each other and we cried. ” He told a local radio station : “ I don ’ t make my living from refereeing . I run a construction firm with my dad . I love refereeing and I’ m not going to stop now . It ’ s really bad what happened but things like this make you stronger. “ There has to be a really firm punishment for the people who did this. ” source: http://liveofofo.com/sports/football-referee-red-carded-players-happened-photos.html/ This happened in Argentina so I guess we still get hope for Nigeria
