The same NBS that was shamefully publishing that inflation rate was going for 11 consecutive months, whereas prices of commodities are still the same or even rising in the market. Interestingly, Kogi, that hasn't paid salaries for over 2 years is not the purpoted list, Osun that has been paying half salary is absent on the list! Meanwhile, virtually all the states listed are PDP states!! Buhari wouldn't mind destroying all institutions for propaganda and election.

Mr Man check the definition of inflation. When the say inflation is going down it means PRICES ARE STILL RISING but the RATE OF THE RISE IS REDUCING!

And what makes the overall economy, is it not oil. Is oil found and produced in Lagos as well. Why couldn't Lagos save Nigeria and even itself when oil prices fell. Four companies and one product accounts for 70 percent of our GDP. That is Shell, Agip, Chevron and Mobil and the product is oil. Remove that from the economic equation and you won't even have a country thoughtless of an economy. The reason why Lagos is even competing with Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa is just down to politics, the kind of politics that has resisted restructuring so far.

Restructure Nigeria, devolve powers to the states, decouple the economy and watch as the GDP of Lagos will contract by 50 percent in the short term before hunger kickstarts proper diversification. There is nothing special about the economy of Lagos as long as the price of crude oil determines our reserves, our exchange rate, and our GDP.

It is the type of your greed that is killing this country. Which investment yields 20% in a day, 40% in 2 days or 100% in 3days?? You clearly did not learn from the MMM scam. Just looking at the scant info on site should have to you it’s a scam. They said Gold plan ROI is 20% while the Basic plan is 40%. Does that make sense to you Shouldn’t it be the other way round? They made the scam easy to spot but your desperation for money got the better of you.

To make money you must first create value! What does the company do to be able to give such returns? They clearly sucked you in by paying you $2 in interest knowing full well that greed has gotten the better of you. For $2 you ended up giving away $60. That’s just pathetic. Please learn your lesson. I suspect you’re still young and under a lot of pressure. I understand the pressure but please focus on creating value and if you persevere you will get rewarded.

This is why I always transfer money into the account with card before I withdraw. I use the mobile app to transfer from one Stanbic account with no card to another Stanbic with card. Even if the ATM swallows the card I will just transfer back to the account with no card. There will be no money in the card to steal.

@Mrsalt. The problem I have is when people talk without doing good research. Have you ever heard of the PPPRA Template? Well on that template which the government used to arrive at N145 per liter it used the parallel market exchange rate of about N322/$! So they have in fact devalued in the PPPRA Template. The previous rate used was N197. If you're not convinced calculate the percentage difference between the oil PMS price and the new one, then calculate the percentage difference between the two exchange rates. See something similar?

People comparing the price between Jonathan's era and now forget the exchange rate has jumped over 100% during the period. If you adjust for exchange rate the price set by Jonathan's government, the said price today will be about N280/liter so intact today's price correctly factors in the 50%+ drop in crude prices. I hope this answer the question of all these armchair "economist" who think the are suddenly knowledgeable of global macroeconomic developments.

People need to understand what inflation itself means, that is, a rice in prices. Hence when they say inflation fell, this does NOT imply that prices in the market place fell, instead it means that prices did not rise AS FAST as they use to, but prices are still rising. Inflation is one of those concepts few people really understand.
