obedience4:Stop disgracing yourself! 1)You can’t cap an ICBM with a treaty. You are confusing yourself with the INF treaty, which Trump pulled out from. ICBMs are built according to ranges desired by the developer based on his own technical know how. 2)I repeat, START was between US and Russia because START signed by the soviets never came into force. Simply because USSR dissolved months later without ratification. START 1 officially came into force in 1994, and START 2 in 2010. You have learnt something today, because you have edited your comment on range to stockpile.
|
obedience4:See as you ignorantly disgraced yourself while trying to educate someone else!!! New start treaty was not between US and old Soviet Union but rather between US and Russia itself. Signed by Obama and Medvedev in 2010 And it was not to bar the range of nukes, because you can’t cap the range of an ICBM. Rather to reduce the number of strategic deployed nuke capable ICBM. |
The purpose of informing Russia was for deconfliction. So no need denying anything for the US because even the states department has disgraced the so called unannounced narrative. Both the US and Russia does not wish a nuclear war for the sakes of Ukraine. As for this war; what can be termed as a win for Russia and a win for NATO backed Ukraine? 50 nations with a defense budget of more than $1.2tr vs $66b. One was supposed to run out of missiles and ammo in April 2022, but is still firing. One has actually run out of ammo and is now rationing. If this war ends today, NATO has lost and has been demystified; because Ukraine still could not join NATO, lost more lands via annexation and would now require an international security guarantee with Russia still on the table. So what did NATO back Ukraine to fight for? And at what cost? If you like repeat a lie 10000 times, the doctrine that it will become true is only in your mind. Imagine a neighbor coming into your legitimate plot and carving out a part for himself due to a misunderstanding that could have been handled with diplomacy, and those who asked you to fight him are telling you that you won actually ![]() Ah, I see, the salivating thoughts that it could destroy Russia by simply pulling the plug on its economy with Europe stopping patronage. The Soviet card of using economy to destroy an empire without actually fighting. Well, they got it wrong this time! |
For clarity’s sake; all over the world, a president can invoke emergency powers and veto all acts of both judiciary and legislature. Also, by citing NATIONAL SECURITY, what the courts say no longer matter to the executive worldwide. |
Karnice600:Says the one who tried albeit unsuccessfully to pass off China in bad light using all manner of theatrics. To answer your question; Africa is already getting the best out of China and it will only get better. It is visible to the blind. Corruption and not laws and policies are our issues because we already have laws in place and they have always been there, corruption prevents their implementation. Lastly, it’s a public fora. Learn to be civil; going about throwing tantrums does not make you super intelligent. You can as well pass your msg without tantrums. |
Karnice600:You are the one talking out of emotions. You should be telling us how the 400 year relationship benefited Africa and it is still a shit hole with no visible advancement. Europe and America deliberately impoverished Africa for exploitation. Go read Walter Rodney’s book on “how Europe underdeveloped Africa” and come back with a sound argument. You could not even disprove any of the facts given. Learn to remove your bias! Are the rapid infrastructures not visible? Is the trade thus far not mutually beneficial? Which ones did your overlords build? Has China dictated your foreign policy? Has China asked you to adopt gay rights before you can access credit? Has China ever asked any nation to pick its side or face sanctions? As for quality control, is china responsible for Africa dump ground mentality? Africa was always the dump ground for OVER PRICED outdated tokunbor wares from all of Europe and America. In other words, we were only good enough for the goods they have phased out. That is how racist your over lords see us; through thesame colonial lens. Tell me what quality control agencies are for again! Is SON not supposed to regulate what comes into Nigeria? But they would rather take bribes. And it’s china’s fault that Africans are corrupt? Do you know corruption is punishable by death in China? We know corruption is endemic in Africa, because even you is a fantastically corrupt individual. China is not Africa’s problem; corruption is! And the Europeans loved a continent ruled by corrupt entities because it help their exploitative course. Reason every politician in Africa stole and hid it in the US, UK and Swiss. After using it to develop their economies, 3 decades later, they return same figures without interests as a sign of goodwill. I am happy you realize China is the manufacturing capital of the world. I bet you are typing from an iPhone designed in the US but made in China. |
God1000:After raising an alarm, kindly tell us something about China that is PROVEN and we don’t know about it. While at it; do so without repeating the narrative of the US against China on unfounded allegations that has been proven against even the US. |
Karnice600:1)Africa was the weaker side because the colonial powers positioned Africa to be weaker for their own benefits, and that today is changing, which is why Africa is today engaging globally. SA is in BRICKS, most Franco African nations are today ditching France. Africa is today choosing Africa. 2)The US spied on the entire world, even on heads of states of its own allies,(PROVEN)!! China spied on a fragment is an hypothesis; maybe true or not, but very practical. 3) Africa is ALREADY getting the best out of China UNLIKE Europe and America. Don’t ask me how? It’s been a 400years entanglement VS a 20 year entanglement. The 400 year’s entanglement is marked by forced slavery, exploitation, policy dictation and interference, with no visible infrastructural advancement. The 20 year entanglement has metamorphosed into thousands of KMs of super highways, airports, seaports(lekky deep seaport inclusive), thousands of KMs of railways, bridges, schools and technology transfer SCATTERED ALL OVER AFRICA. Why did Biden suddenly choose to engage Africa? Because they just found out, that Africa is Awakening!!! |
An alarmist thread! The first question should be; how many mega infrastructure did the colonial UK, France and US build in Africa for free? Not the ones built with our own resources during colonial era. USAID, UKAID, are good for Africa, Chinese gifts are not to be trusted? Western credits with conditions such as LGBT+ rights and exclusive rights to dictate our foreign policies are okay, but Chinese loans repayable over 2-5 decades on modest interests are bad!! The typical African does not pay his debts, no matter the good will given. China should just walk away from debts owed to it that are legitimate and time bound? True, no foreign power gives gifts without a motive, China inclusive, but China’s motive is clear for all to see, pure business. China does not care about your foreign policy, it does not care about your religion, it does not care about your way of life. It’s not it’s business who you sleep with. It simply wants business and more business. Reason for the belt and silk project. The alarmists blowing unfounded claims about Chinese spying should be reminded that the only country ever proven to have spied on legitimate governments all over the world including its own allies is the US. Edward Snowden revelations! |
An American professor once asked; what can be defined as a win for Ukraine? No matter what their media says, what does a win for Ukraine entails if it fails to join NATO, not recover Crimea despite losing hundreds of thousands of men, and vast devastation of its cities? Hailing Zelenskyy on media does not equate to victory if any of these is off the table. But a win for Russia is simply found in its objectives, “we don’t want NATO in Ukraine”! The question will now be; how was this different from the pre-war demands and both Minsk agreements? But it’s a Pyrrhic victory because there will be NATO in Finland at the very end. So who won? The US won! Just like they won the Cold War, did not send an active troop, got Europe to dump Russian gas for freedom molecules, today while Russia has no edge over Europe, Europe is forever more dependent on the US for both its security and energy, a two faced sword. Either way, Europe a wealthy civilization will pay subservience to the US to guarantee its security and survival. It was pure economics, just like the petro-dollar, Ukraine was the pawn. |

Only a coward will spend $800b annually on armaments, claim to build the best jets and run away and choose to fight by proxy when he sees a near peer rival. This is the time to prove yourself and not on unknown ragtag farmers you are still unable to comprehensively defeat. Ukraine is not a nato ally is no excuse. Was Libya, Syria nato allies? |
What kind of a father are you? So you cannot even put up a fight for your kids? If you are this weak, it’s best you leave those kids with their maternal aunt because in the presence of an abusive step mum, should your wife turn out to be one, you may not be able to fight for them. A visitation right is being abused and you are on NL seeking opinion instead of enforcing it? Please leave those children where they are, you will fail them in the long run when you eventually get full custody. |
Simeonjoe1:The discourse was initially focused on the sovereign decision of BF n Mali on Wagner. On the proliferation of weapons among terrorists worldwide, it would interest you to know that most of the weapons being funneled currently into Ukraine are being auctioned as we speak on the dark web. African governments has since established that all the weapons used by ISIS and Boko Haram to destabilize Africa comes from Libya, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Who destabilized these places? The AK 47, being the primary weapons of insurgency is mass produced worldwide in every country with a defense industry despite being of Russian origin. All you need to produce an AK is a Russian license. DICON in kaduna produces AK 47 as well. Even the US produces AK 47. China has no business in what goes on where. It’s business is simply just business. China has the largest economy by PPP and second largest economy by GDP. It’s the manufacturing capital of the world and seeks to keep it so. 90% of the world, the US inclusive has China as its biggest trading partner! So what’s the fuss? Africa unlike the developed world needs infrastructure to facilitate this trade. And trade facilitation is what is in it for China. The belt and Silk Road(most ambitious infrastructures projects) transcends across continents. Would you have china not tie the loans directly to projects so that our corrupt thieving African governments can loot it? All Buhari’s landmark projects were made possible via Chinese loans and not the world bank, and it will benefit their trade on the long run. For China; it’s simply shrewd business. The loans secured from western hemispheres are simply looted. Where is the $12b spent by OBJ admin on power? In private pockets right? NB; I am not pro Russian or western. To me only a fool supports bloodletting no matter who is involved or the theater of operations. The UN has failed in its mandate for which it was established after the world wars. The world needs a reset. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. |
TenQ:10q so much for this apt and concise response. I was wondering how people did not realize that Christ died for the whole world. And it’s whoever and not just the Jews. |
joyandfaith:Sometimes, learn to remove your western bias and sentiments from hard facts! It’s you and your cohorts that labeled Wagner mercenaries. The actual name is PMC; private military contractors and every major country has them. You probably don’t know about blackwaters right? And that the US government contracted them to fight and provide military services along side their regular army in Iraq! You always shout about sovereignty and Ukrainian sovereign alliances! So BF and Mail are not sovereign to make their own sovereign military decisions and alliance? Be it a regular army or PMC is a sovereign decision, so long it works for them. It’s not cast in stone. If it don’t work, it gets revoked. Afterall, they expelled France too. If you fail to see that it’s a sovereign decision, you have simply invalidated all your arguments on NL. You stated that China and Russia is in Africa for exploitation? So what the west did for 400 years is called what? Even up to recently, they would not provide weapons or infrastructures unless you adopt gay rights masked as human rights! You cannot wish away the facts that just 20 years of eastern engagements have translated to thousands of KMs of highways, railways, airports, power infrastructures scattered all over Africa without preconditions and meddling. Simply business! Till today, is the United States not stealing Libyan and Syrian oil? A case of a bad and jilted ex wife telling her ex husband to be wary of the new wife who is so far without faults. Allow the man be and decide for himself who is a bigger witch. |
hayoholla:You can’t generalize! The people notorious for fueling insurgency is the west. For how long was the French military in these regions? Show one country the US has successfully defeated insurgency? Today they fight insurgents in Syria, tomorrow they incorporate some and call them moderates!! The Russians like the Chinese are more business minded, let them try. The west has got their chances with African since the 17th century; they choose to use it for slave trade and colonization. When colonization was off the table, they resulted to exploitation. when pan African nationalism came, they resulted to divide and rule( Libya is still fresh). As if that has not been enough, they sit in Washington and give instructions, lectures and sublime orders to sovereign African nations. While China and Russia were busy building hindreds of KMs of highways, railways, power projects, airports on long term low interest loans, they were busy telling us to allow Steve to wed Steve before they will give us weapons to fight insurgency or funds for developments. Akufo Ado is a failure who is simply cozying unto the west because he has failed terribly in Ghana domestically. Inflation on paper in Ghana is 40%, but in reality it’s more than 200% in real purchase value, while the cedi has totally become worthless. How do I know this? I live in the Volta region! Kindly allow the ones that come without preconditions have its try since Africa definitely needs help. It’s been 400 years of west vs just 20 years of east in Africa, the difference is clear! |
Trash!!! All these to justify Tinubu running away from debate? Nduka did not say in his rebuttal that Tinubu must attend Arise town hall. He said; “Present your presidential candidate for Town Hall meetings, debates and interviews by the independent media that last for more than 8 minutes, and not pre-arranged Townhalls, where questions are pre-set, prearranged and rehearsed” We are still waiting for Agbado master ooo. There is NTA, Channels, even his TVC. Trump debated Biden. Truss debated Sunak. It’s a global culture. But whosai baba will not show up! Instead you are coming here to deflect issues and speak English. Is Nduka contesting election? |
Segzy19:While it is not a lawful requirement, it is customary the world over to attend live debates with your opponents. Even in the American democracy we practice, this debates starts even from party primaries between aspiring candidates. You saw the fierce debate between Truss and Rishi sunak right? What about Trump/Biden ![]() The question should be; why is Tinubu running away from a live debate with his opponents? What is he afraid of? Same man who packaged the failure called Buhari on a mantra of Change and Nigerians didn’t ask questions, they simply ran along with CHANGE AND SAI BABA, is now packaging himself. Nigerians are now saying; come let’s ask questions this time around and he is saying, it’s not a constitutional requirement Really![]() |
