Nairaland is not a police station. The best people can do is call him out. A hardened scammer can brace the heat and later continues biz like nothing happened. He once sold a UK used phone as brand new repackaged with carton to a NLnder and when found out, foot soldier like isilove defended him to high heavens. All this nonsense you posted here should have been to the police or EFCC. If you had 800k to send upfront, so admistrative expenses to follow up case, you don't have? If you like make noise here from now till year end, he won't buldge. What we should be seeing from you here is update on how law enforcement has apprehended him. And don't let him bully you. You had every right to call him out on NL, you saw his biz here on NL and decided to proceed based on his adverts here on NL. Online biz gets reviewed daily from both satisfied and unsatisfied customers. |
Dozieson:No major reason why people, mostly Nigerians prefer Sienna other than the Toyota mob mentality. The odyssey is a far superior car in terms of handling, fuel economy and cost of maintenance. Parts are readily available like every jap vehicle, it's original parts outlasts it's Toyota counterparts. It's only downside is resale value and it's body tends to fall apart quicker than the Sienna. 3mz is currently 800k with 13pin going for 700k. The 3.5 liter engine on the odyssey is barely 350k and it outlasts the 3mz. |
I was enroute to ughelli on the 1st of February and men of the rrs without name tags or any means of identity flagged me down and did stop and search and found nothing. They discovered a herbal bitters drink I had bought from a colleague at the office and immediately claimed it was mockite(Indian herm mixed with gin). All attempts to make dem understand they were wrong proved abortive. Their demeanor showed they have caught a meat and were fixated on how to maximize extortion from it. I held on to my innocence and openly told by hem to keep it within my sight before they secretly insert substance in it to implicate me. As God will have it I made calls to which I discovered the colleague who sold the bitters to everyone at work was enroute warri at that moment and we decided to await him since he would pass through same route. He arrived there in about 25 minutes and admitted selling the bitters to all of us, more bitters was also seen in his car trunk. He imformed them it was gin mixed with dongoyaro hence the bitter taste and has nothing to do with hemp. These criminal men were still not willing to let go. They wanted to also impound my car but for the government plate number it had and verified allocation paper. They started to demand negotiations else we will rot and nothing will happen, at this point I decieved them to allow me my phone to make calls for help as my phone was already in the custody. I quickly Googled police pro delta state and got the phone numbers of dsp Bright Edafe and put a call across to him. He could hear the commotion in the background, he asked my exact location and what was going on, I explained, not knowing who I was on the phone with, they were already demanding I get in and let's drive to the station. The ppro asked me to give the phone to any of them, they became livid I put that call across and began lieing to him that I unknowingly bought mockite and the seller had admitted which were all lies. I had to shout in the background that he was telling lies for the ppro to hear and they changed to I was being rude to them. One of the officers threatened to strangle me to death and nothing will happen and he will simply speak language to Edafe Bright. Finally on his instruction I was let go free of charge but my colleague was with them because he changed tune from being the producer of the bitters to a reseller. When I hear from him today, I will decide my next course of action. I will be back in asaba tomorrow and I intend to pay the command a visit. 1) why are the men of the rrs on the road to kwale without name tags and means of identity 2) Samples of the bitters are still with a lot of my colleagues and we intend to take it to the command for testing to see if it had any thing to do with hemp. Lastly, I realize Nigerians are the problems of this country because I saw supposedly sane people in that check point telling me 'oga just beg them and negotiate with dem na, u no dey there wen dem produce am, police know pass u, just beg dem'. I just shake my head. Below is the herbal drink called Ijaw bitters, it was supposed to help with blood sugar, waist and rheumatic pains.

Righteousness2:You need christ. He is the author and finisher of the faith. You are clearly religious, reason you don't know that present day Isreal has no special place in God's design. There is therefore no more jews or gentiles with the advent of christ. Everyone is same before God and present day Isreal is even anti christ and anything christ stands for. If we go by old testament logic, God would clearly send enemies to destroy Isreal for denouncing the deity of christ and rejecting Christianity. You need Jesus and enlightenment. |
Mindlog:I will assume you have never had any court dealings and have never been involved in a custody case, either directly or indirectly as most of your assumptions are false. I have, and did win as a man a custody case against my ex wife on the following grounds: 1) She has no known address. You must have a place of your own to demand custody. Her efforts to use her siblings addresses did not pull through. 2) She did not have any known source of income. Having custody means you can handle some form of responsibility with or without the other partner. 3) I was able to prove with audio and text evidences her infidelity, which showed the court that while I was out of the country, she not only had sexual affairs, but took my kids to t he houses of her affair partner. Thereby endangering them in the course of her infidelity. She was found to be a bad moral compass for the kids. Guess their ages; male 4 and female 2+ then. How did I get her audio confession, I tricked her into believing there was a hope for reconciliation if she opened up on all that happened, which she did and sent over via whatsapp since I was not yet back then. And she spilled all in hopes it would save the marriage. What am I saying in essence, the flawed thinking that a woman gets custody simply because she is a woman is fallacy. |
Volodymyr Zelensky’s Struggle to Keep Ukraine in the Fight | TIME Volodymyr Zelensky was running late. The invitation to his speech at the National Archives in Washington had gone out to several hundred guests, including congressional leaders and top officials from the Biden Administration. Billed as the main event of his visit in late September, it would give him a chance to inspire U.S. support against Russia with the kind of oratory the world has come to expect from Ukraine’s wartime President. It did not go as planned. That afternoon, Zelensky’s meetings at the White House and the Pentagon delayed him by more than an hour, and when he finally arrived to begin his speech at 6:41 p.m., he looked distant and agitated. He relied on his wife, First Lady Olena Zelenska, to carry his message of resilience on the stage beside him, while his own delivery felt stilted, as though he wanted to get it over with. At one point, while handing out medals after the speech, he urged the organizer to hurry things along. The reason, he later said, was the exhaustion he felt that night, not only from the demands of leadership during the war but also the persistent need to convince his allies that, with their help, Ukraine can win. “Nobody believes in our victory like I do. Nobody,” Zelensky told TIME in an interview after his trip. Instilling that belief in his allies, he said, “takes all your power, your energy. You understand? It takes so much of everything.” It is only getting harder. Twenty months into the war, about a fifth of Ukraine’s territory remains under Russian occupation. Tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians have been killed, and Zelensky can feel during his travels that global interest in the war has slackened. So has the level of international support. “The scariest thing is that part of the world got used to the war in Ukraine,” he says. “Exhaustion with the war rolls along like a wave. You see it in the United States, in Europe. And we see that as soon as they start to get a little tired, it becomes like a show to them: ‘I can’t watch this rerun for the 10th time.’” President Biden Meets With President Zelensky and Pledges New Aid for Ukraine 0 seconds of 2 minutes, 34 seconds Public support for aid to Ukraine has been in decline for months in the U.S., and Zelensky’s visit did nothing to revive it. Some 41% of Americans want Congress to provide more weapons to Kyiv, down from 65% in June, when Ukraine began a major counteroffensive, according to a Reuters survey taken shortly after Zelensky’s departure. That offensive has proceeded at an excruciating pace and with enormous losses, making it ever more difficult for Zelensky to convince partners that victory is around the corner. With the outbreak of war in Israel, even keeping the world’s attention on Ukraine has become a major challenge. After his visit to Washington, TIME followed the President and his team back to Kyiv, hoping to understand how they would react to the signals they had received, especially the insistent calls for Zelensky to fight corruption inside his own government, and the fading enthusiasm for a war with no end in sight. On my first day in Kyiv, I asked one member of his circle how the President was feeling. The response came without a second’s hesitation: “Angry.” The usual sparkle of his optimism, his sense of humor, his tendency to liven up a meeting in the war room with a bit of banter or a bawdy joke, none of that has survived into the second year of all-out war. “Now he walks in, gets the updates, gives the orders, and walks out,” says one longtime member of his team. Another tells me that, most of all, Zelensky feels betrayed by his Western allies. They have left him without the means to win the war, only the means to survive it. But his convictions haven’t changed. Despite the recent setbacks on the battlefield, he does not intend to give up fighting or to sue for any kind of peace. On the contrary, his belief in Ukraine’s ultimate victory over Russia has hardened into a form that worries some of his advisers. It is immovable, verging on the messianic. “He deludes himself,” one of his closest aides tells me in frustration. “We’re out of options. We’re not winning. But try telling him that.” Zelensky’s stubbornness, some of his aides say, has hurt their team’s efforts to come up with a new strategy, a new message. As they have debated the future of the war, one issue has remained taboo: the possibility of negotiating a peace deal with the Russians. Judging by recent surveys, most Ukrainians would reject such a move, especially if it entailed the loss of any occupied territory. Zelensky remains dead set against even a temporary truce. “For us it would mean leaving this wound open for future generations,” the President tells me. “Maybe it will calm some people down inside our country, and outside, at least those who want to wrap things up at any price. But for me, that’s a problem, because we are left with this explosive force. We only delay its detonation.” For now, he is intent on winning the war on Ukrainian terms, and he is shifting tactics to achieve that. Aware that the flow of Western arms could dry up over time, the Ukrainians have ramped up production of drones and missiles, which they have used to attack Russian supply routes, command centers, and ammunition depots far behind enemy lines. The Russians have responded with more bombing raids against civilians, more missile strikes against the infrastructure that Ukraine will need to heat homes and keep the lights on through the winter. Zelensky describes it as a war of wills, and he fears that if the Russians are not stopped in Ukraine, the fighting will spread beyond its borders. “I’ve long lived with this fear,” he says. “A third world war could start in Ukraine, continue in Israel, and move on from there to Asia, and then explode somewhere else.” That was his message in Washington: Help Ukraine stop the war before it spreads, and before it’s too late. He worries his audience has stopped paying attention. Paramedics help a wounded man after a Russian rocket attack in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kostiantynivka on Sept. 6, 2023.Evgeniy Maloletka—AP At the end of last year, during his previous visit to Washington, Zelensky received a hero’s welcome. The White House sent a U.S. Air Force jet to pick him up in eastern Poland a few days before Christmas and, with an escort from a NATO spy plane and an F-15 Eagle fighter, deliver him to Joint Base Andrews outside the U.S. capital. That evening, Zelensky appeared before a joint session of Congress to declare that Ukraine had defeated Russia “in the battle for minds of the world.”

advanceDNA:Do you know why this logic doesn’t hold water? No one can claim ignorance of existence of pregnancy. Even if you did not know time of conception, within a few weeks or months, it becomes naturally obvious. During pregnancy, you undergo periodic scans which points to duration of pregnancy(a vis time of conception) as well as likely time of delivery. If your scan says you are 4 months gone and you know 4 months ago, you ate the d^cks of Emeka, Roland and Musa. Why would you pin the pregnancy solely on Roland? It becomes a case of “it may or may not be yours “. The lady is duty bound to tell the man that it’s a probability. Subscribe to paternity court; judge Lauren lake on YouTube. |
HeatSeeker:You clearly don’t know the meaning of paternity fraud, hence mistaken it for adultery. It’s the criminal act of pinning Mr A’s pregnancy on Mr B. Or willing leading Mr A to believe he is solely responsible for a pregnancy when you know you ate multiple d^cks during the window of conception, hence making it a probability. This can happen even in unmarried relationships. And it’s solely a woman’s fault and choice. |

Cooletempa:You can’t support APC and not be daft! Does anyone use 1000 gas for one month? In a bid to support the evil party and broke shame the OP, he forgot to understand the 1000 is for just 1kg. An average family of 5 should use moderately about 12.5kg monthly. That’s #12500. In a country where minimum wage is still 30k, transport has gone up, food and fuel has gone up and nothing is stimulating income and economy! Gas went from 250-300 per kg under PDP to 1k per kg. More than 300% increase. This is reflected in every other sphere of the economy and yet poverty has fried the OPs brain or APC has weaponized poverty. When Nigerians are ready; they will know what to do with their oppressors and their minions. Arab spring happened for far less. |

Donaldoni:You will have sense by force! Tell us what power fights a war without re armaments? Tell us again; is Ukraine not being armed by over 50 nations? Tell us again; when it became a crime to buy from whoever has capacity and political will to sell. It’s one thing to be ignorant. It’s another thing to be so proud of it that you publicly display it by creating a thread and telling everyone about it. Below is the US being armed for fighting ordinary Vietnam that is not reimbursed by 50 nations. And the UK being armed by the US for fighting Argentina for a few weeks in the fauklands and could not go it alone. What to learn here is that a war machine that has successfully rearmed itself for nearly 2 years against a coalition of 50 is the greatest arms machine after Hitler’s Germany. In case you forgot, it’s the west that first ran out of shell capacity against one state. https://declassifieduk.org/britains-secret-role-in-the-brutal-us-war-in-vietnam/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1984/03/07/us-aid-to-britain-in-falklands-war-is-detailed/6e50e92e-3f4b-4768-97fb-57b5593994e6/

DaChosenOne:Your issue is the word compete. BRICS is NOT competing with the west or G7. They have stated this time and again. It simply is trying to build the much needed alternative. An alternative that allows the US and it’s allies to lord it’s will over those it does not like, using tools and institutions at its disposal. E.g, the NDB is not bigger than the IMF, but it will not ask you to allow LGBTQ+ before you can access credit. Until it can field it’s own currency, it will foster trade in mutual currencies. BRICS is treaty bound not to apply unilateral sanctions that are not UN sponsored, this is why Russian oil sells above price cap in India and China. An alternative to SWIFT is in the works. India tried to pitch its own domestic UPI during the 15th BRICS summit. Only slave mentality stops people from wanting an alternative and projecting wrong assertions. |
Skankamola:While not clamoring for a military take over but rather a civil revolution like the Arab spring. I put it to you that the issues you raise are common place today in civilian rule. Abacha loot: Do you know the looting of mere civil servants today make Abacha loot child’s play? An AGM stole 80b, while under investigation another 90b stolen by same man was uncovered. Or is it the ones stolen by the governors, their deputies and commissioners which they have perfected by contracts inflated by 1000%? Don’t even go to the federal sector; Buhari stole 500b monthly using min. of humanitarian affairs alone and he has how many ministries? Have you ever juxtaposed the cost of projects today under the civil rule with what is obtainable elsewhere? Is it the overbloated cost of governance where governors, deputies, speakers and their counterparts in the federal sector each has over 1000 aids and each and everyone is stealing? What the government of Buhari stole will blow your mind if another government could take over. They have borrowed and stolen the future of even your grandchildren unknown to you. Comatose industries: We have had uninterrupted democracy since 1999(24 years), where are the new ones? They are still coming to campaign to use that they will build common roads, they are still awarding same roads to their cronies without execution. We are basically still where we are and even worse off. Do you know almost all basic landmark infrastructure Nigeria can boast of today was done under same military? Nepotism: obasanjo coined ijawnization under Goodluck, while I believe you somehow missed the recent fulanization under Buhari, which ultimately emboldened even the maurading herdsmen. You missed the famed presidential body language. Critics murdered/jailed: lol, where you in Nigeria in the last 8 years or did you miss how they weaponized hate free speech under the guise of hate speech? How the Dss went after everyone who dare spoke against government. The reason Reno was in exile for 8 years was not because he ever stole. Tell us about funsho Williams, did you miss what Umahi did to the opposition in Ebonyi state? Or what wike did to even fellow party men that challenged him in rivers? Point is no one is good, but military has proven to be a far lesser and cheaper evil than this civil experiment. They have successfully weaponized poverty and the people cannot even revolt! Nigerians are now used to adjusting! Everything you pointed out is 100 times worse under civil rule. We need a change, we need revolution. |
rickleye:That is the problem. The democratically elected governments are subservient to France. These countries were made to sign a pact with France at independence, hence they are not truly independent. Their military, currency, foreign reserves, mineral resources is controlled by Paris. Which UN are you talking about? The one that even the sec gen is saying needs reforms because it’s too western denominated? When insurrection suits their agenda, it’s called freedom fighting. When it doesn’t, it’s terrorism. How will Niger break this forced marriage with France without force? And why are you more concerned about who their future alliances will be and not about the exploitation they have suffered for 60 years? |
Naijaboy18:Do you know why you tried to insult me? I destroyed every rubbish you wrote with hard fact, when they lack a counter fact, they want to turn it to tantrums. I will not slide in the mud with someone who does not even have a passport. I don’t claim to live in Europe, I live in Ghana and have first hand fact. When you are finally able to leave your village, you will be better reformed, cout and informed. |
obedience4:Be deceiving yourself! The pact for the continuation of colonization will pop up immediately you type it on google or YouTube. I wonder what your problem is? One can be pro west and not be a hypocrite! How you want to rationalize anything western is a baffle. Are you hoping for visa? I have given you the proof you asked of. Since your data could not find links that we have hundreds on google, let me help you. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonial_pact https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/a63597cc/files/uploaded/colonisation_continuation_pact_download.pdf https://panafricanvisions.com/2013/12/france-lives-africa-colonial-pact/ https://historum.com/t/how-did-the-french-cover-up-the-west-african-colonial-continuation-pact-for-so-long-to-the-present-day.188964/ https://globalvoices.org/2019/12/24/8-west-african-countries-rename-currency-in-historic-break-from-france-but-colonial-era-taxes-persist/amp/ |
Naijaboy18:For the umpteenth time, Taiwan is not a country, under international law, it’s seen as an independent admistered province of China. This is why it has no seat on the UN general assembly. You can simply google the term ONE CHINA POLICY! To answer your question, it will take a whole lot of education, but what do these nations you mentioned have in common? Answer; they are allies of the US hosting US bases. In other words, they are used to whip up anti China sentiments in the indo pacific. This plays into the US narrative of how China is the bad guy. And mind you, this does not in anyway give any credence to your false narrative of how china was taking over Africa. |
Naijaboy18:Chaiii; I have to laugh! Hongkong is part of China. It only has a special administrative status. Its run as a democracy with a chief executive as its head. It’s like what the Minsk agreements wanted with the Donbass region. And again what I state is fact, you can verify or bring a counter argument. You rather should stop falling for the propaganda you watch on BBC. As for Taiwan even the US recognizes the one China policy which states “there is only one China, and Taiwan is part of China”. The US is only at least on paper trying to avoid changing the status quo via the use of force. |
obedience4:You asked for proof; read and avail yourself of knowledge by you defend the indefensible. rickleye:I 100% agree with you that it takes collaboration with a Blackman to be exploited by the east and west. However the case of francophone countries is on another league. Every black man should lend a voice and call out France. What kind of independence do you have when you have no control over your military, no control over your foreign policy, no control over your foreign reserves, no control over your central bank, no control over your mineral resources? You just take what is given to you as handouts? |
Naijaboy18:@Naijaboy18; I will take my time to explain this to you because I have first hand information. China is taking over Africa is a lie you heard on BBC and co and I will explain. When you take loans to finance infrastructure or investments, are you not expected to pay back. When you don’t pay, there are clauses on how the lender will have to recover his credit line to you. I live in Volta region Ghana; so learn from this recent incident; Ghana is now fully independent from Nigeria when it comes to electricity( something your western lords would not have wanted to happen) and we have uninterrupted power supply thanks to Chinese credit. ECG( electricity company of Ghana) is supposed to service this loan from the meter credit we buy to recharge our electricity units. But somehow after many years, ECG is unable to service this loan at all. Pls make it make sense; you sell power to the citizens and it’s digital and not on credit, at the end of the day, you don’t make returns to the people who financed your uninterrupted power supply. If not Blackman corruption, how do you sell and not be able to account for the proceeds of the sales? Few months ago, China took over the commercial aspect of ECG. In other words, China is fully in charge of selling meter credit to consumers until it recovers its money. Anyone living in Ghana can easily attest to this issue. My questions to you are these; Is this what you mean by taking over? Is China not supposed to recover its credit? In Nigeria, we currently have seaport, railways and highways funded by Chinese credits on favorable terms. If Nigeria fails to repay due to corruption, China will have to come in and run these facilities commercially until its credit is liquidated or do you have a better option? But of course BBC is calling it a debt trap for Africa. If they did not exploit us for 4 centuries, we would not be taking out loans today for development. Dem no dey take light today for Ghana, na China run am, something France could not do with even Niger where it gets it uranium from. |
LOVEALAIGBO:I called a line of argument foolish and not you because it has become common amongst some NLs to bring up migration and visa choices when discussing policies, but you choose to show how emotionally unstable and myopic you are. I will not sling with you in the mud and rather stick to issues! Firstly, at no point did the Op say china intends to become the new imperial powers in Africa. He simply alludes to cultural, economic and political ideologies of the east which are more suited to the African course and will be the levers by which the exploitative lordship of the western dominance will come to an end. But of course you did not read. I tried to find sense in what you mean by economic and political subjugation by China. Because for starters, there is no country where China can be said to have interfered politically outside of economics. In terms of economics, pls explain economic subjugation for us. If you are referring to Chinese credits. I have to laugh at you. Germany, the biggest economy in Europe has Chinese credits financing infrastructural projects. The BRI cuts across both Europe, South America, Middle East, Asia and Africa. For the umpteemt time, development is financed by credit line. This was why the world bank and IMF was created to provide credit to help bridge infrastructural and economic deficits worldwide. Bringing up japaring and visas shows how shallow a writer can be. I repeat, who will migrate in search of better life if the 400 years old relationship was beneficial to Africa? You need to unlearn and relearn. Widen your scope of reading, at no point did BRICS say it intends to topple the western led dominance. That’s what you heard on BBC and co. BRICS offers an alternative. IMF recently slapped ban on Uganda for implementing strict gay laws, the NDB(new development bank) will not slap a ban on credit for members because of their political and cultural views. No one is saying the dollar is going away, but trying to bring about an alternative that takes away the ability of the US to use its dollar to sanction people it don’t like because of their policies. While it is true that every nation will first pursue its interests, China has not shied away that it’s interest is trade and not how you choose to live your lives! Do you know why? Because it’s the manufacturing capital of the world. It’s also the biggest consumer of fossil fuel and raw materials. So it’s a win win! You could not point out what the benefit for Africa has been after 4 centuries, the result in less than 30 years of engagement with China is visible to the blind in Africa. |
Macron insisted the ambassador will not leave. So they will smoke him out naturally like a rabbit without force. Diesel generators will run out, water in tanks will finish, no locals will be allowed to resupply and we will see if he will not leave. Relationship by force. |
