Writing directly to the schools will supply you with full information rather than half-truths you are likely to get from this forum. Don't know how to contacts the schools, ask YAHOO or GOOGLE!

Marriage takes more than just ATTRACTION. However, it is a delicate issue. For example - are the kids Muslims or Xtrians? Just one of many questions such a marriage will bring up.

I am of the opinion that we have enough problems without adding that of inter-marriage between the religions.

I believe it is compulsory, however many Imams give translation. Of what use is the Khutbah if you do not get the meaning?

For N30,000:00 (Thirty Thousand Naira only) you get a DECODER, A DISH with INSTALLATION while receiving about 16 stations.  Notable among the stations are SABC1, SABC2, FASHION TV, MUTV, etc.

I am not subscribed to any of the stations as at date, however I will get the information and get back to you.

And I thought I had everything at www.abeokuta.org.  Wait until I pass this on to guys around here.  Thank you all for sharing.

He means TV stations that you receive through your dish but are FREE.  You need special decoders to receive such stations/channels.

Most technicians charge based on your bargaining power and location.  Most stations are however from the Eastern bloc i.e. Arab stations.

1. Jesus (Prophet Issa) is a prophet of the Almighty sent to his people.   Q2:136 Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.

2. The family is a unified body, the individuals first link to the world at large.  Such a unity/collection of people is recognised by the Almighty and by implication all Muslims.

3. Death is a compulsory end to all living.  A Muslim in encouraged to do good deeds while alive and to live as if the owner of his life might request for it the next minute.

4. War is not encouraged though many are of the conception that Islam promises eternity to those who die fighting in its cause and as such encourage war.  People who hold on tho this argument are only being mischievous.    Check this  out - Q4:90
