Just download the latest rom, copy it to the internal memory of your phone in a folder named 'downloaded_rom' (you can create the folder yourself), then open the updater app(normally located in tools), click the 3 dots on the top right of your screen, then choose updater package, scroll to the folder 'downloaded_rom' and select the file. Your phone will immediately flash the rom, takes about 15 mins or so.
You can download the rom from here, download the global stable rom (1.5gig), http://en.miui.com/download-321.html

bro i'm unable to install the official global rom through this procedure....am i missing something?i dont think so i followed this step by step....i couldn't access the file inside 'downloaded_rom' through the updater

He didn't scam you bro, you inspected and was satisfied with the device before you paid. He can sue you for defamation of character. He allowed you to test and inspect the device before paying and you even agreed you were satisfied with it. Go change the charging port and move on. Thanks!!

This is a very wrong judgement...the seller is being dishonest and you're still backing the scammer up

ubev01:
Download antutu officer to verify if your phone is original before flashing any official Rom to avoid bricking your phone forever

thanks.....here is the result

GrandMufti:
This is vendor rom. You need to flash official rom to be able to receive updates .

check if the bootloader is unlocked. First enable Developer options:- Go to About phone > tap MIUI version at least 7 times to activate the Developer options.

Then go to Additional settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock status. Your device should probably be unlocked. Please confirm this by sharing screenshots.

If it is unlocked, then use the link below to flash global stable rom. Start from option B if device is unlocked, otherwise use the full guide.
