Which of the models is suggested?

What i'm looking for are:

No heating
Less than $100 price
5.5" and above HD screen
Finger print scanner....Front preferably.

This is vendor rom. You need to flash official rom to be able to receive updates .

check if the bootloader is unlocked. First enable Developer options:- Go to About phone > tap MIUI version at least 7 times to activate the Developer options.

Then go to Additional settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock status. Your device should probably be unlocked. Please confirm this by sharing screenshots.

If it is unlocked, then use the link below to flash global stable rom. Start from option B if device is unlocked, otherwise use the full guide.

Haba, e no reach to sell nah. Dat should be a vendor rom. Jus download global fastboot rom and use a pc to flash using Mi flashtool.
